I personally was never going to play an open world halo and because of that I'm glad it got hate. I played the early MP and mechanically it was alright (as is the Halo trademark) but I just felt there was solitude to do and so little reason to do it, it never felt like teamwork.

No player collision so players can walk right over each other
You can melee from the front, phase through your target and get a backsmack kill from inside them
Teammates can walk through you while you're firing rockets to cause you to suicide
You can just use mod tools for that, and not get banned if you use too many of the corpses as decoration.

Can't choose your own colors, must buy preset color combos
Colors are locked to cores
Can't choose your own armors, must by preset cores with small variations inside
Can't mix any colors or armors freely
New unlocked to core colors and helmets are a seperate new purchase so they can scam everyone dumb enough to have paid for anything in the original system
Weak map design for most of the multiplayer maps
Entire campaign is just a drawn out version of Halo from CE
Nothing happens in the story
All lore is picking up messages of the new enemy leader talking about how cool he is and how weak you are or recording of randoms dying
Original Halo was about Master Chief and his place in a military organization, 343 hacks think being in the military is icky and so never have his exploits saving Marines and taking bases turn into becoming part of an organized military operation on the new Halo

Being better than 4 or 5 doesn't make it good. Bosses were underwhelming, story was once again complete nonsense, there was less level variety than any other Halo, no big setpiece moments, nor vehicle missions, no blood made the fire fights feel weird.
I don’t understand why 343 hasn’t been fired. Just make Halo CE: 2, or Halo 2: 2, or Halo 3: 2. Like fricks sake. Take one of the main trilogy and copy it. Don’t add any moronic shit.

No I think halo is the biggest show of their moronation. Perfect Dark was killed by them, Battletoads, banjo, rare itself, gears. I loved my 360 but M$ has repeatedly dropped the fricking ball on every golden goose franchise they’ve had.
