It's a shame what Fire Emblem has become after Kaga.

shining force mogged it
And Langrisser is superior to both.
I only played the Famicom games, after that I stopped caring because I hated half of the missions in the first SNES game (during the sequel part)
Thankfully you can still play Kaga's post-FE games. Pure unfiltered autism fun.
pill me on them
Tear Ring Saga for the PSX. It looked and felt so much like Fire Emblem he got sued for it. Sequel is on the PS2, still a good game but he had to change a bunch of shit mechanically to avoid another lawsuit. He's also making indie games nowadays (think two or three so far? same series, forgot the name), but that's not retro.
Since it is Kaga we're talking about.. How many cutscenes of feet are there? :s
It's nu FE that has the weird sexual shit, anon.

Vestaria Saga (I & II). Wish they would go on sale on Steam, for once. A release on Switch, etc, would be amusing, also. Or how about a hack of Tear Ring Saga or one of the SNES/GBA games featuring the story, levels, and characters of the Vestaria games?
Berwick Saga was peak Kaga, and peak SRPG
FE was only good on GBA
this but GC
Path of Radiance was abysmal, anon. Even Radiant Dawn on Wii was a huge improvement on that tech demo of a game, actually having features and graphics remiscent of the GBA and SNES games.
In an alternate world, the SNES games came out in the west and this board will be filled with boomers saying the GBA games have no soul and babified the series like Wind Waker did to Zelda. Everything is built on nostalgia
sfc*
Yeah I guess nothing matters and we should lie face down in the dirt thanks anon super enlightening
That's your prerogative
Seventh post best post.
GBA titles are all great, I play them so much.
Simple enough that you can just pick them up and play a few chapters
perro kaga
Man I didn't even like the old games that much but the new ones are just EMBARRASSING
I’ll be honest with you, I have played many FE titles, from the GBA to the NES. I don’t think I have beaten a single, and whether possible I always skip dialogues, I still don’t know what these games are about.
>Bad army invades
>Good army fights back
>Dragons and a magic sword are almost always involved
That about sums up every Fire Emblem game ever.
