Best open world of its kind. Open word action shooter with a central focus on exploration Character and base customization. Only gays and trannies care about “muh fallout “ “muh rpg lore”
The open world is really boring and i hate base building, the game would have been much better with actual towns with people to interact with other than "unamed settler #2647" who only says hi to you
Uh....no. I think you need to watch Where Fallout 4 Fails and pay special attention to the criticisms of the main storyline around 1:25:33. After that, watch Why Fallout 4 Is A Failure and pay close attention to the criticisms of the settlement system that get brought up around 2:03:42. I think that should enlighten you a bit...

I usually hate vocaroo Black folk because they sound nothing like what they're going for but this was alright, I give it a C+ to B-. Probably a B+ with better recording equipment.
Feels pretty rewarding to build up a nice base/OP gear on a Survival run tbh, and finding skill boosts/bobble heads is a great way to encourage finding new locations and there’s a lot of good design in the interiors
Fallout 4 is a narrative driven experience. Some moron decided "I'm going to declare Fallout 4 is shit by pretending the main drive of the game, i.e. the narrative, doesn't exist and just dumb it down to exploration, combat and gathering ." That's a moronic thing to do. If you ignore the story of every RPG in existence all you're left with is exploration, combat and gathering and when you dumb every RPG down to just that they all fricking suck. RPG is a narrative driven experience. It's always been a narrative driven experience since before home computers to play them on were even a thing.

So is the story of NV and yet nobody seems to have a problem with that. Like I said, if you want an actual good story then don't play video games. Read a book or something. Great writers have zero interest in writing video games for a living.
>delete fallout 4 on pc >last save was on nuka world >decide one day to reinstall fallout 4 >download main game+dlc >load game and see that the nuka world progress was reset
Thanks shartesda!
>want to upgrade my gun >have to invest in 4 ranks of the gun upgrading perk plus some other perk like science >then start hoarding a bunch of literal trash, make sure you invested in the perk that increases the amount of material you get from breaking them down too >finally get to upgrade my gun >it does slightly more damage and shuffles around the other stats that don't seem to actually do anything
thanks todd
gun upgrades are your only form of character progression other thank the perks that directly boost your damage. you know, because frick the perfectly good skill system every previous game used.
It’s true that most of the skills are fundamentally combat focused which everyone acknowledges is the biggest flaw of the game overall however there’s still a lot of room for specializing into different roles and the crafting aspect of things adds a reasonable element of alternative progression at least in survival where making shit actually matters to progression
FO4 is the only reason I have hope that Starfield will be fun to play. Like they took the criticisms of FO4 being a shitty role playing game but that it had good gunplay and just worked off that. The fact that they went back to a non-voiced MC for Starfield backs up my assumption.
It doesn't exist. There is a mod to bring Nora back to life, multiple in fact, and cheat on her but there is no mod to bring Nate back to life and cheat on him.
Just use the console. Also there's a mod that apparently adds an alternate start (not Start Me Up) where you play as Nora and can suck off your boss' wiener under the desk while Nate is there. Don't really remember its name, though.
Playing it right now and it's not so bad that I'm not having fun for the most part, but it's still a painfully average game. The music is pretty great and I do appreciate Bethesda's attempts to do better world building, but the quests and exploration are shit and the combat which can be fun, gets very repetitive. It's like they tried to inch Fallout towards a pure action game without anything to mix things up. It's all just dungeon crawling blasting everything you can over and over.
>finish the playthrough
I never finished the main story, just play for 200h and start another character, but yes it's fun if you enjoy punching people to death especially in modded VR, once you hit the major power spike you will be killing behemoths in one or two hits so the dmg is good.
Nah, i tried I REALLY REALLY tried but i just can't everything was all fun and games till you get to the institute i just couldn't get behind of their israelite motives.
fallout 4 is a great game, too bad they never fixed the loading screens and you need to use a mod on pc to reduce the times from 50 seconds to 5 seconds
but for 6$, its a better game than any JRPG that has come out in the last 8 years
>big open world
theres plenty of those >same amount of content
you do realize jrpgs are full of the same fillter right? >good graphics
lmao

you can use choke points and trap spells like spike pits or grease to your advantage

single target spell vs aoe that hit every enemy

It’s their only main quest with multiple branching paths and conditional quests that you can miss entirely
Yep, it’s kino. Even without mods it still looks great on max settings, the graphics have a lot more depth than Bethesda’s other games. Combat is a huge step up too.
It's a lot of fun if you enjoy it as an open world shooter with lite-rpg elements and usually a couple/a lot of mods.
Hardcore + immersion mods + start me up and it's a fun game or sex mods those are good too
I like making the game incredibly Hard but also giving myself cheats. It’s just a race between me and the AI to see who corrupts the save date or break the game first.

FO4 is a shit rpg, a worst fallout game, buggy, and has a moronic plot
but if you just consider it as an open world looter-shooter set in fallout universe, its fricking great
i'm almost ashamed to admit but i even liked the settlement crafting, if only it wasn't so fricking buggy
It's definitely the best of the 3D Fallouts and stands out as the best post-Morrowind Bethesda title in general. It's a great example of a studio leaning into doing what they're good at and making a game that appeals to its niche despite the whining of people who wanted something different.

it's ok if you don't think of it as a fallout game or as an rpg

Best open world of its kind. Open word action shooter with a central focus on exploration Character and base customization. Only gays and trannies care about “muh fallout “ “muh rpg lore”
it really isnt.
its a terrible shooter though, and basebuilding is mediocre at best. space engineer is a better game in both regards.
The open world is really boring and i hate base building, the game would have been much better with actual towns with people to interact with other than "unamed settler #2647" who only says hi to you
Yeah it is, there’s shitload of content in it. If you don’t take the story too seriously it’s pretty fun.
i tell hwhat, the writing was kinda shit, but out of all the fallout's, it's the most fun to play
Just started a new playthroigh of it last night in fact
This is even better
this alone redeems FO4 completely. Nuka World was like the cherry on top. fun expansions all around tbph.
the story was moronic in both of them

So did this moron just pretend Fallout 4 doesn't have a main quest and an extensive number of side quests that are all story driven?
Fallout 4's main quest is terrible, and so are 90% of the side quests.
Every game's story is shit. Read a fricking book.
I'm talking about the gameplay, my dude.
No, we're talking about story.

Yes. Even as a Fallout game, unironically.

gun upgrades are your only form of character progression other thank the perks that directly boost your damage. you know, because frick the perfectly good skill system every previous game used.

The big issue is locking perk upgrades behind levels
Why do I have to be level 20 in order to get the second tier of the perk?
It isn't
-but not a GREAT game
FO4 is the only reason I have hope that Starfield will be fun to play. Like they took the criticisms of FO4 being a shitty role playing game but that it had good gunplay and just worked off that. The fact that they went back to a non-voiced MC for Starfield backs up my assumption.

recommend me some fallout 4 sex mods
Get the cheating wife mod.

frick off moron
76 > 4 > 3 > 1 > 2> NV
From worst to best?
Thoughts on survival mode?
if you pretend it isn't fallout and just frick around building settlements it's pretty comfy
It’s way better than Skyrim in every way which is a good thing
Playing it right now and it's not so bad that I'm not having fun for the most part, but it's still a painfully average game. No, it's not.
Even pr0n mods are bad.
Has anyone tried a melee build without VATS or stealth?
I barely do any damage to enemies.
I did, you want to go unarmed with power armor or circle around enemies and abuse charge attack.
Sounds tedious and not fun. Did you finish the playthrough?
>finish the playthrough

It’s fine. Base building was the worst part. Either give some incentives to actually build a settlement or scrap it to flesh out the rest of the game.
its part of the perk system ... but yea its just filler for starfield tooling
its basically the construction set in game
Fallout 4 is a great game. If you don't like it you are a sheep following YouTubers brainwashing.
