I got this but I stopped playing it. It was fun but I couldn't help but feel like the switch hardware was really holding it back. I hope it gets ported to PlayStation 5 so it doesn't run like ass, I'd like to play it completely
it doesn't affect the gameplay, and even if you b***h about the jittering, it seems like they specifically designed around it for it to not affect the gameplay of the realtime parts. after a battle or menu, the monsters won't attack until you've had full control of your character for at least a second.
I don’t expect a Nintendo to understand why frame rate is important >play game >get immersed in game and the world >have a good time >game suddenly turns into a PowerPoint >get reminded that you are not actually in this world and are just looking at a screen

the absolute peak of writing in SMT5 is when the law rep takes off his baseball cap with "sucker" written on it, to demonstrate he isn't a sucker anymore. OR IS HE?
>Law Ending: Everything goes back to normal. >Chaos Ending: Everyone gets to live and you rule the world in harmony with everyone. >Neutral Ending: You kill all your demon friends and every other demon out there leaving only humans.
I mean qute the point was to mix and match alignments.
>Yuzuru is so lawful he went chaos out of nationalistic principle >Dazai is so chaotic he managed to convince an angel to fall for the sake of god >Yakumo hates humans too.
Missed what? Yuzuru wanted to protect Japan from the start, Dazai was always a schizo putting on a front, and Yakumo loved humanity he just loved Nuwa just as much and it became a major conflict for him.
Don't act other people didn't pay attention when you clearly didn't.
i just kept spamming the sea of stars magatsuhi for mana but i was more irked with how phase 2 drops and the party wide status bombing or huge thunder attacks would wipe my shit
From what I remember the strategy I used was hope the first phase goes perfect spamming light shards and mazan or mazanma, and then swap to a new set of demons for the second phase.
yea you want fire in the second phase but it's still a pain trying to cover all your bases resist wise with him doing ice/lightning/dark attacks and also party wide silence or confusion
i basically just had to toss in a thunder negate demon and dark negated on my MC and hoped i won the coinflips
>All areas are identical aside from shading, sandy post apocalpse >Most characters are either flat, or their development nonsensical (Law dude is egregious when it comes to nonsensical development) >Doesn't have the atmosphere of Nocturne to make up for these shortcomings
But FRICK I loved collecting Demons and mushing them together
And it's not like SMT is no stranger to weird character development (fricking Jonathan was more Neutral than Law before angel frickery), but at least in SMT4 the samurai had believable character arcs before the split, as well as enjoyable world building.
>signs all but pointed to SMTV being ported to PC >decide to leave replaying the game for other routes until it was on PC so I didn't have to deal with the Switch or emulation again >doesn't seem like it's happening anymore
The story and overall aesthetic is just less-interesting Nocturne. At least 4 had the guts to really attempt to do any world building through its visuals, characters, and soundtrack. SMT V's soundtrack is good, at least.
I would pay to have a pale woman with fake nails point at that doll

>caring about the framerate in a fricking turn-based JRPG
NTA, but what do you mean by this
Are you stupid

the fricking overworld isn't turnbased
>PS5
Why would you ever want anything ported to that shit machine. Ideally it'd get a pc port, but that's incredibly unlikely.
>Plushobino not avaiable
ATLUS!!!
I finally gave Shiva's theme a try and I love it
Goddamn they really dropped the ball with the main story
SMT sucks
What's my fault?

Not my fault that SMT sucks and only Persona is good
so, with this game's failure, Atlus is just going to pump out more persona games under the SMT universe, right?
I really enjoyed IV, especially the story and tone of the game
V seems impressive visually speaking but I've heard the story is kind of meh
the story isn't meh, it's fricking atrocious
but there's some enjoyment to be had if you can laugh at how bad it is
Doesn’t the law rep go from being a flunk in school to GOD IS ABSOLUTE just because Abdiel said her strength comes from her faith?
the absolute peak of writing in SMT5 is when the law rep takes off his baseball cap with "sucker" written on it, to demonstrate he isn't a sucker anymore. OR IS HE?
>the story and tone of the game
There's something special about IV. The atmosphere is captivating. Best OST in the entire franchise
And I would do it again.
yes
Actual DLC when?
EL NAHOBINO DEL VORTICE MUNDO!
>Law Ending: Everything goes back to normal.
>Chaos Ending: Everyone gets to live and you rule the world in harmony with everyone.
>Neutral Ending: You kill all your demon friends and every other demon out there leaving only humans.
I think they mixed the endings here.
I mean qute the point was to mix and match alignments.
>Yuzuru is so lawful he went chaos out of nationalistic principle
>Dazai is so chaotic he managed to convince an angel to fall for the sake of god
>Yakumo hates humans too.
None of that happened. What game did you play?
Shin Megami Tensei V. I understand if you missed it, the story was kind of lackluster and easy to ignore.
Missed what? Yuzuru wanted to protect Japan from the start, Dazai was always a schizo putting on a front, and Yakumo loved humanity he just loved Nuwa just as much and it became a major conflict for him.

Shin Megami Tensei IV*
mt sry
Is strength actually good or is magic still better for the protagonist?
i regret doing anything other than vitality, late game just turns into the protag debuffing and healing and swapping demons
sakanagi hits lika a truck and you get it super early
then there is murakumo which deletes anything on critical hit
both STR based, almighty
Magic is fine but strength is clearly better due to the Nahobino-unique skills you get. It's basically just Nocturne all over again.
'bino on the 'ding

God this boss was a pain. Not enough Chakra Drops in the world, I think I ended the battle with around 8 demons totally drained of mana.
i just kept spamming the sea of stars magatsuhi for mana but i was more irked with how phase 2 drops and the party wide status bombing or huge thunder attacks would wipe my shit
From what I remember the strategy I used was hope the first phase goes perfect spamming light shards and mazan or mazanma, and then swap to a new set of demons for the second phase.

yeah at that boss i realized that the game can be completely broken by item spam.
SMTV had one sexy ass battle system, but frick, the story and world sucked.
i came the exact opposite conclusion, how curious

what are the essentially mandatory debuffs i should be using?
>you can't beat them if you're underle-
I skipped this game because of the extraordinarily homosexual-looking protagonist
missed out bruv
yeah but if you had seen the trailers you would know there are some extremely sexy demons in the game
so it balances out
Would

smtv is built from III world building
fun game
