I have to repost this every time I make this thread...
the past few generations of xbox controller have an improperly designed button contact. this causes buttons to send multiple presses if the button is struck even slightly diagonally
this caused me to effectively waste $150 in genshin impact, by executing a roll I didn't want to do. A-button double press.
The Xbox one/series controllers are the only controllers to my knowledge of all time to ever have this specific issue. Someone has a graphic about how the button contacts are wrong, I should save it.
Does it have gyro?
yes
Hall effect sticks? I don't see the controller on their website.

Official controllers these days blow dick, and they're like that on purpose.
Because the companies realized that with the severe lack of couch co-op, they can "force" people to continue buying overpriced controllers that break down every six months.
Thats like 14 controllers the average person will go through the average console lifecycle.
Third party controllers actually care about the consumer (at least more than Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft do) so they're made to last least longer than a six month period.
Even in the most expensive first party controller on the market, the elite 2, it uses the same cheap as dirt buttons and analog sticks as everything else.
They have RC controllers in a similar size like the one pictured with all metal cnc gimbals with hall effect sensors that blow away every console controller in quality for less.
There's no reason they couldn't manufacture console controllers with hardware that good when a ching chong company in a tiny market like FPV can.
this is inherently why i'm looking at controllers like what I posted in the OP
the xbox series controller is the best general-purpose controller ever, but it has a years-old fault and they simply do not care to correct it. what's more, they had to work around DECADES of knowledge to introduce this fault in the first place. It's fricking weaponized corporate idiocy. I guarantee some person with a last name like Obungkwe had something to do with the button design at microsoft
The king kong pro gulikit or whatever is the only hall effect gimbal controller im aware of on the market for consoles.
But it has mixed reviews, and is also made by a dinky ching chong company.
there are a shit ton of hall effect controllers out now, including the one I posted in OP. It's not particularly meaningful. stick drift isn't a huge issue and is mostly caused by zoomers pushing their sticks too hard.
t. 41 and never have stick drift
my desire is mechanical buttons/correct buttons/buttons that won't have any fricking issue.

First up, the drift fix is simply a bonus. Where Hall effect sticks shine is through their sheer accuracy. Try drawing a perfect circle in your controller setup dialog box next time with your America #1 controller, and then do it with Chink Chong Ding Dong brand hall effect sticks. You are going to feel incredibly embarrassed.

of course they have nothing bad to say about it.
it is so scary to me how the obvious realities of the world just elude some people...this is not a common thing to buy and the space is huge and varied and most people would simply buy first party. there is no random group of 5 friends owning this controller. lmao

Like I said, modern controllers are purposely made bad.
I fix my own controllers, but the average person is too lazy and/or stupid to take a screwdriver and tweezers to a controller every time they experience button sticking or stick drift or shitty batteries or whatever, which is way too common these days.
There is no reason why these literal billion dollar companies that have been around for over 3 decades in the industry are being outdone by pajeets in their basements besides simple greed.
This thread is literally about Microsoft's Xbox controller engineers somehow figuring out a way to create a problem that did not exist with the Atari 2600 joystick.
You have missed the point. The first-party product *is the chinese knockoff now*
in well-developed commercial spaces third party companies make superior components to the manufacturer, not inferior ones
And yet, the Chinese knockoffs suffer from stick drift way less than the official controllers.
Plus most of them have easily swappable sticks if they don't happen to use electromagnetic sticks.
thank you for informing me about whats in the thread i posted, please continue to not follow post chains and then respond to posts because its so fricking useful to do that

>finally a modern controller with 6 buttons >the added two extra buttons in the worst possible place/orientation >not just copying the Arcade/Genesis/Saturn
you might think that but buttons have been placed there on controllers in the past and it's fine. far enough out of reach that accidental presses don't happen
they also have a new apex 3 which only has 4 face buttons but i'm not interested in that one. more expensive
I currently use a 8bitdo ultimate 2.4g. It feels good in the hands, works with everything I play. It uses ALPS for some reason and lacks motion controls, so I am returning it for the bluetooth model. I don't understand why they released it like this.
all good mate, overall good feeling controller and very top of the line alps stuff but the lack of motion controls killed it for me ultimately, and seeing that the bluetooth model for $10 more uses hall effect? I am going back to best buy and getting my money back, and ordering the other one on amazon.
So how much is this thing supposed to cost? Most pro controllers cost far too much for the little features they bring - particularly given their insides are mostly all the same shit.

Huh. It appears to be the same thing as the Vader 3 except without mechnical buttons, no RGB, few other downgrades im assuming. No C/Z buttons. Can't tell if it has back buttons because they don't even put them on the vader 3 page.
$45, hall effect sticks and gyro, might be a new go-to pc controller if it's good.
Out of the box, it claims to have re-mappable buttons, and that is technically true... as long as all you want to re-map are different configurations of the standard Xbox controller setup. The software claims that you can create macros for different button presses, but I've never once been able to get the software to actually recognize that buttons are being pressed. It has made zero difference if I have the controller wired, 2.4, or in Android mode.
In FACT, the only way I was able to get any kind of useful functionality out of this controller was by purchasing a third party re-map software that would actually allow me to set up button configurations on the controller that acted as virtual key presses on the keyboard, and even THAT setup has gotten so frustrating to use that I've gone back to using a standard Xbox controller. The Vader refuses to stay connected when wireless, and if it IS connected, it constantly disconnects for a second or two, and then re-connects. This wouldn't be a significant issue on, say, a pair of Bluetooth earbuds; annoying, but not impossible to live with. The significant problem with the controller doing this is that it forces me to change my game settings every single time it happens, because the controller being connected does not mean that it is able to be recognized as connected by the games I play.
Further, the rechargeable battery in this controller has rapidly become relatively useless. When I first started using this controller, it regularly would last 6-8 hours after charging for a couple hours; now, it rarely lasts longer than two hours.
> Copying a botpost from Amazon that has written exactly the same review on a couple of different models.
I smell fat greasy israeli-American corporate hands behind that post. Also, stop buying shit off Amazon. Most of the crap they sell is on Alieexpress on official factory stores for half.
This kind of bluetooth controllers are actually pretty good.
They made me enjoy MegaMan X Dive a lot more, same for Action Taimanin, KOF All Star and emulators in general.
I have two of these controllers, little homie. I've had one since surely 2018, roughly. I have never run into bothered commands or any of the sort. Furthermore, not that I've had to, replacing these things are stupid easy because the pricing isn't evil.

who gives a shit about an xbox controller clone for switch? We need decent third party controllers for ps5, switch already has plenty and it's an old console that will be replaced soon
Can you even map the Z and C button to anything useful? The 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth, for example, has two extra paddles on the back of the controller. But you can only map them to standard Xinput inputs or macros, rather than being able to map them to arbitrary key presses. So the only real use they have is being an easier way to press L3/R3.
no, they've only made shovelware controllers until this one, looks like
competition heated the FRICK up in the space in the past 10 months, i haven't even seen this one. Throw it on the pile. Someone needs to do a review of all of these
a wired controller isn't even under consideration though. I don't like the design of this and you may consider it petty but I will never buy something from a brand with a stupid name like Gamesir

Ergonomics is ass, why put six face buttons with two in the wrong place? Might as well not exist, the R3/L3 shoulder buttons died for this?
If the fake disc pad still lacks a pivot like in their other models it's completely useless, let alone put in the wrong place, it's unwieldly to use for its suggest purpose and the disc itself isn't comfortable for your thumb.
Only noteworthy thing is having hall effect sticks but this doesn't change the fact that it's a discount Razer Raijuu with suspiciously low pricing considering all the other gimmicks they stuffed into it, component quality is very probably not the best.
that controller looks perfectly fricking fine, looks nothing like "madcatz shit" and you have no idea what that means apparently, were you ever inside a blockbuster video at any time during the 90s? no? not alive?
These chinkshit controllers are unironically better than first-party controllers nowadays. I used to be skeptical but once I made the switch I haven't looked back. It's not like the old days where third-party controllers were shitty knockoffs, these chink controllers have better components.
they sell a bunch of bog-standard chinkshit controllers and phone props. The reason I'm looking at the flydigi is they have had three successive generations of higher-end products now, at the top of this spectrum of brands
I really wanted Beitong Zeus 2 but it looks like it's a piece of shit. this space is really unpredictable.
I bought the Bluetooth version of this for Switch and PC and it's pretty much perfect for my use case. The only real downside is that it lacks HD rumble which is a bit annoying for the odd game that uses it (like those handful of moons in Super Mario Odyssey).
the switch's brand of rumble, which is more precise but almost no games use

Literally slow turn/fast turn and a wider resolution between them. But Nintendo being the walled garden that they are, decided they will prevent any other developer from utilizing this. On their own platform. Because reasons. Thank you, that will be 100 dollars plus tip.
Did someone try this via bluetooth on android yet? I see no reason why it shouldn't work on it considering it has steamdeck support. I would rather have gyro than analog triggers.
Man, that looks convoluted as frick. Why was everything working fine with pro2 but these ones are so shit? I guess i will just go with the cheap C 2.4g one and piss on gyro for now. Frick paying 70 shekels for a switch/pc only controller.
yeah it's a really weird choice. the "ultimate" controllers all have some kind of nitpick to them. I just want a pro 2 with hall effect sticks and a charging dock.
>2015-2021 >switch released 2017 >console where the problem was most common
I think in this case it was just the normal consequence of Nintendo being a bit too cheap
>analog triggers
When the frick will controllers stop doing this? I've been stuck using a Wii U Pro controller for YEARS because not a single good controller will come out with digital triggers. FRICK. >but you can shorten the travel
No, I want it to be a BUTTON so it can easily be pressed simultaneously with a face button when needed.
>When the frick will controllers stop doing this?
they do this because it's a feature in many games.
short travel is functionally the same as a digital button. technically you could also use the back buttons on some controllers as a macro for the triggers.
or just buy a switch pro controller i guess.
>they do this because it's a feature in many games.
In racing sims only. I've literally never seen a game in my life which used analog triggers outside of racing sims, even back on Xbox 360 when analog triggers were a novelty. >short travel is functionally the same as a digital button.
It's not, though, because it doesn't have the same feel and travel of the face buttons. What I like about the Wii U Pro is that pressing the trigger feels the same as pressing a face button so pressing trigger+face is natural and easy. >just buy a switch pro controller
I have a Switch and I don't like the Switch Pro much. I use it for the gyro in Switch games because it's good for that, but I'd never use it on PC because it's just not very good.
>I've literally never seen a game in my life which used analog triggers outside of racing sims
the newest jak and daxter has weapons that shoot faster if you pull the trigger harder, but yeah outside of racing games it's mostly stupid gimmicks like that. there's a reason analog face buttons from the PS2 were dropped after all.
Games such as...?
Every time I talk to someone who defends analog triggers they can never actually list non-racing-sim games that use them. Everyone vagueposts about how useful they are and how they're a necessary feature but when tasked with saying which games they're thinking of there's suddenly silence.
I wouldn't know about hardcore but no one ever mentioned MGS to you?

You mean MGS3? I thought that only used analog face buttons, not triggers, and no one in their right mind has ever defended analog face buttons.
flight sims, any kind of milsim, various action games, etc
even if it were *only* racing games-- that's totally fine, as racing games are a major genre, and nobody cares if you don't play them
in fact, people who blanket don't play any sports or racing games are casuals.

what else... I dunno, the FLUDD in super mario sunshine?
Anonymous
Alright, that's fair. Though I'll point out that Mario Sunshine on Switch just uses the fourth shoulder button (since the Gamecube has only 3) as a "plant feet" button for FLUDD and there's no functional difference because FLUDD only ever had 2 levels of intensity and was never truly analog.
Anonymous
Rift Apart also kinda uses it, only at two levels of intensity too though
I could swear some of the ps3 ratchet games also worked like this. if you had the melee weapon out, lightly pulling the trigger would pull out the weapon, ensuring that weapons with lock-on would have their aim assist function, and weapons like grenades would start showing their throwing arc so you could start aiming without wasting ammo first

Skill issue, there's no reason why they should remove a feature.
Is this controller any good? I was going to get it since every YouTube reviewer says it is great, but Amazon reviews say it is good but the abxy buttons fricking suck. They say it is membrane and has no feel, but I don't understand, isn't that how playstation controller buttons feel like? I really like the idea of being able to swap the buttons out to Xbox and switch layout physically a lot.
I've had one for about 8 months. I've been going hard with shmups and games like Grim Dawn. So far it's been good. Very accurate and overall feels very solid. The buttons are silent. At the time when I bought it I read up on it and at some point those had issues, but new batches have resolved it. Mine has no issues in that regard. I have a Xbone One Halo controller next to me right now alongside and it honestly kinda shit in comparison. Through their official store on aliexpress they sell for about half to what Amazon charges. Here in AU they seem to have warehousing as it arrived in under two weeks.
I've seen those cheap ones on AliExpress. I'd get one, but I also have a fear of getting a dud and being unable to return it. I have an Xbox controller but I hate using it for anything. The triggers and bumpers feel good but the joysticks feel super loose and the abxy buttons need so much more travel than a dualshock controller and just feel off. Is the dpad any good, because the dpad from Xbox is useless for playing any platformer. Granted, you could just buy from AliExpress, and if anything goes wrong play the return trick with Amazon to get a fully functional controller again.
I buy shit there all the time. I've had one issue when a seller sent me the incorrect model Kai cart for my Saturn. I sorted it out in a chat box, and they sent me another. So I now have two. If that fails, they do have a global claim mechanism directly through the site. I mean I dunno, most of the shit I buy off there is so cheap it's hardly worth the hassle even if they fricked it up. I buy a lot of arcade parts and components through there. Remember that they do have to compete against Amazon and ebay literally on the exact same items.
I have purchased from AliExpress, but you deal with stores so it is different everytime. I usually get Legos from there and they will send you missing pieces and some make it very difficult or won't even respond to you. I heard on Amazon the company is iffy. Some say it is great and some said they are worthless. I'll still try it since I would be saving so much more money. I just hope they aren't selling the junk controllers they got from Amazon.
why don't you all just buy xbox con???

considering the QC issues this company has had for multiple generations i'd avoid them like the plague and take a chance on something like the OP one or even
I asked like 5 people I know who currently use their stuff for opinions and none of them had anything bad to say. I doubt the QC issues you mention are as bad as you say, store reviews also back this up. Only thing I'd change is probably having the xbox layout for PC use.l
if you know 5 people who have an 8bitdo pro controller, congratulations, you have a representative sample of people who have bought the same product because other people in their social circle bought it.
of course they have nothing bad to say about it.
it is so scary to me how the obvious realities of the world just elude some people...this is not a common thing to buy and the space is huge and varied and most people would simply buy first party. there is no random group of 5 friends owning this controller. lmao
Don't need poster ID to see you've been spewing absolute bullshit all thread long. The reddit spacing is a dead giveaway, you really have to go back.
that's actually me
Then maybe you should take it to your private discord and ask your eggs about it. I get you are angry, but you are angry on an anonymous loser forum.
unrelated but are you into fpv drones?
been thinking of getting into that but have zero idea where to start.
i am handy with coding and a LITTLE bit of soldering so there that, if needed.
How the frick can you go through any controllers at all? Literally all of mine still work, though I replaced the sticks on my DS4 gen 1
This is from 1998 to present.
it isnt really worth replacing batteries with questionable quality aftermarket batteries. fire hazard
They come from the same Chinese factory
No, they do not. You are extremely ignorant if you think all batteries are the same, of all components
They're made to an industrial specification and there isn't a huge level of competition in China over these components. Stop dreaming.
>there isn't a huge level of competition between random regional factors in china for shit like BATTERIES FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES
>because things like batteries are "made to industrial specification", that means they are all the same quality of materials and production
you have the mind of a little child get fricked dude...holy frick i am so tired of fricking 20 year olds typing stupid shit to me on Ganker. literally go frick yourself, you know why this hasn't been something you ever actually gave thought to? because you don't own a fricking home, homosexual child
ergonomic disaster, as many years as we all used them
>you have the mind of a little child get fricked dude...holy frick i am so tired of fricking 20 year olds typing stupid shit to me on Ganker. literally go frick yourself, you know why this hasn't been something you ever actually gave thought to? because you don't own a fricking home, homosexual child
Ok buddy calm down I was born in 88 you are freaking out
>implying China makes anything up to specification
>How the frick can you go through any controllers at all?
Like I said, modern controllers are purposely made bad.
I fix my own controllers, but the average person is too lazy and/or stupid to take a screwdriver and tweezers to a controller every time they experience button sticking or stick drift or shitty batteries or whatever, which is way too common these days.
There is no reason why these literal billion dollar companies that have been around for over 3 decades in the industry are being outdone by pajeets in their basements besides simple greed.
Can you fricking imagine buying shit like this and gamer glasses and gamer gloves? What a life.
This. Holy frick kids. Please don't buy any of this PROFESSIONAL ELITE TURBO GAMER GEAR. Just have sex motherfrickers.
Stick drift.
i don't buy chinese knockoffs
>i don't buy chinese knockoffs
This thread is literally about Microsoft's Xbox controller engineers somehow figuring out a way to create a problem that did not exist with the Atari 2600 joystick.
You have missed the point. The first-party product *is the chinese knockoff now*
in well-developed commercial spaces third party companies make superior components to the manufacturer, not inferior ones
And yet, the Chinese knockoffs suffer from stick drift way less than the official controllers.
Plus most of them have easily swappable sticks if they don't happen to use electromagnetic sticks.
>And yet, the Chinese knockoffs suffer from stick drift way less than the official controllers.
No they don't. The sticks use exactly the same components if they aren't hall.
The controller in the OP has hall effect sticks.
thank you for informing me about whats in the thread i posted, please continue to not follow post chains and then respond to posts because its so fricking useful to do that

I just want a decent controller for PC with 6 right face buttons so I can play N64 emulators.

>AAA batteries in 2023
kys
AA batteries and they're still the best and preferred solution.
just because a technology is slightly newer does not mean it is better
kys
little bro you don't know the difference between AA and AAA batteries that really shows your level of interaction with this world
go ahead and type kys, lash out as nastily as possible at anything and everything. i'm here for you bro, it'll be ok 🙂
did you know that you will never own a home btw
kys
pyr (pay your rent)
kys and meds
Are you that moron who made a thread going in circles between
>NOOOOOOOOOO AA IS OLD TECHNOLOGY
and
>I DONT CARE IF IT LASTS LONGER AND U DONT NEED 2 LEAVE IT 2 CHARGE BECAUSE UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IT SHOULD COME WITH RECHARABLES????
While getting called a homosexual by everyone who posted?
Built-in Lithium-DIEon < Instantly swappable cheaper rechargeable AA batteries, just use the $10 saving to buy some you homosexual
Don't engage the moron.
no. and go frick yourself for defending MS trying to israelite you with this.
Because these days, first party controllers are simply no longer any good.
>finally a modern controller with 6 buttons
>the added two extra buttons in the worst possible place/orientation
>not just copying the Arcade/Genesis/Saturn
WHY
It uses the Xbox Controller S layout.
Does it have gyro?
Hall effect sticks? I don't see the controller on their website.
>Chink controller
No thanks.
all controllers are made in china moron, this one is taiwanese owned.
Those extra buttons look like they are at very annoying positions. If I was looking for a 6 button controller, I would keep looking.
you might think that but buttons have been placed there on controllers in the past and it's fine. far enough out of reach that accidental presses don't happen
they also have a new apex 3 which only has 4 face buttons but i'm not interested in that one. more expensive
its like the original Xbox controller that came after the big one
>gyro and Hall effect and 6 buttons
We may be cooking op what is the name of this thing again
flydigi vader 3
dont recall asking, have fun clicking the x
Is it going to be good chinkshit or bad chinkshit? Hall effect and gyro are requirements but almost nothing has both. Are there back buttons?
Father 3?
Father 2 went to the store to get some AA batteries
>Begging his father for three chinktrollers on an anonymous screen game forum
Pathetic.
Why the frick hasn't Xbox been doing this shit? Bring back black and white buttons MS.
Does it come with back buttons? Those are the reason I was eyeing the 8bitdo Ultimate the other day.
the other one, flydigi apex, has back buttons
get the bluetooth model of the 8bitdo ultimate, it is way better in every conceivable way.
looks dope
thanks for putting it on my radar, anon
Ok shill, does it have 4 or more paddles/buttons on the back? If not then it is pointless for me.
actually it's around 50~60 in certain parts of the world
I currently use a 8bitdo ultimate 2.4g. It feels good in the hands, works with everything I play. It uses ALPS for some reason and lacks motion controls, so I am returning it for the bluetooth model. I don't understand why they released it like this.
why would a wired controller have gyro?
it's not wired anon, it is wireless 2.4g, it uses a usb dongle in the dock.
nm didn't see you said 2.4
all good mate, overall good feeling controller and very top of the line alps stuff but the lack of motion controls killed it for me ultimately, and seeing that the bluetooth model for $10 more uses hall effect? I am going back to best buy and getting my money back, and ordering the other one on amazon.
So how much is this thing supposed to cost? Most pro controllers cost far too much for the little features they bring - particularly given their insides are mostly all the same shit.
are you honestly moronic
or you could try flydigi vader 3 😀
Wait it has back buttons too? And they don't even advertise it on Amazon or anything? The frick
how are they spammable? mechanical? this has mechanical buttons
I'm OP and I ate my wife's butthole last night while she gave me a blowjob. I also like video games, and I even like RGB. have a nice day.
Sorry but I like the spammable face buttons of the Wolverine Ultimate too much to part with it.
>OP does it for free
>troony colors
yikes.
you actually bothered to crop this and make this post
yeah, i did
and you bothered to give me a (you)
its ok now bc u posted that grl and i got to see her face
🙂
don't care, i'm still using the best controller
Artorias approves of Flydigi
this new one has a green one piece version that's ugly as sin. so this company is at least big enough to get genuine licensing.
also,
>Flydigi Direwolf
Take that back it has 2 back buttons
I'll say it up front: don't buy this controller.
When I first started using this controller, it regularly would last 6-8 hours after charging for a couple hours; now, it rarely lasts longer than two hours.
yikes.
hmm, has several more bad reviews too, saying the direwolf has worse materials/dpad than the vader 2 even
so prob skip that one. lel.
I bet the Vader 3 is gonna suck when I getit.
Is this post about the Direwolf or the Vader?
yeah I think it might be about vader 2 and they reused a product number or something on amazon? doesnt look right
also the person writing that review appears to be a moron, grain of salt taken
I'm willing to give these companies a chance as the mainstream stuff is not doing me any better right now
> Copying a botpost from Amazon that has written exactly the same review on a couple of different models.
I smell fat greasy israeli-American corporate hands behind that post. Also, stop buying shit off Amazon. Most of the crap they sell is on Alieexpress on official factory stores for half.
Pro 2 still serving me as a perfect controller after all this time.
Simple design, sturdy, godly D-pad.
>go to flydigi.com/en/product/
>this takes up 80% of my screen
mothafricka weee
This kind of bluetooth controllers are actually pretty good.
They made me enjoy MegaMan X Dive a lot more, same for Action Taimanin, KOF All Star and emulators in general.
still has the same faulty buttons, and you got to pay like 200 dollars for them
I have two of these controllers, little homie. I've had one since surely 2018, roughly. I have never run into bothered commands or any of the sort. Furthermore, not that I've had to, replacing these things are stupid easy because the pricing isn't evil.
you can't replace the button electronics, you can only replace the physical button, which isn't the issue
your controller has the issue, whether you acknowledge it or not doesn't have any bearing.
>whether you acknowledge it
I'll acknowledge it when I experience it, of which I haven't despite everything. You saying it happens doesn't make it true, you 40 year old, third world subhuman.
if your controller is based on xbox one controller it might not have the problem
if its based on xbox series controller it does
pro+ came on 2 years before the Series controller. I'm pretty sure it is based on the Switch Pro controller too.
oh i thought you were talking about the xbox elite controller or whatever, no idea why you responded with something non sequitur as if you were continuing a thought, nm
no idea what controller youre even talking about. nintendo stuff is unusuable by enthusiasts
Piss yourself, moron.
oh you bought that ape shit lmao. garbage controller
>i-it's okay if the buttons get caught on the face sometimes, it's not (mainstream controller)!!!!!! i'm different!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOOK AT THAT THUMB LMAO thats the people who own that controller, ppl whose thumb looks like that
This is the posting-style of your average gypsie chink-shiller.
why would you hyphenate "posting style"? ESL as frick trying to sound intelligent or something
Egyptian, right? Akesh or some shit is your name
Akesh is Indian. Nice falseflag.
>knows indian names by heart

u buy controller filthy pig dog american, u buy now!
>his controller doesnt have six axis somatosensory mapping
and to think, only a few years ago we had just invented hole technology
>Asymmetrical sticks
...sigh...
trash take, they're better
Xbot NPC's detected
symmetrical* sticks
symmetry is based on thumb position not stick position. video games are played with thumb on face buttons not right stick. shooters are played with mouse and keyboard. any further problems, refer to manual on how not to be a newb
Why the frick is everyone here so hostile?
Go back.
Just bought this for 23.38$,how good is it if only used for emulating on android phone?
>faulty chink quality controllers thread
but enough about xbox
Apex 2 still the best.
can i bluetooth it to my pc for mmos
yes.
Is this thing being sold yet? It's not on Newegg and on Amazon it's sold out with no reviews
who gives a shit about an xbox controller clone for switch? We need decent third party controllers for ps5, switch already has plenty and it's an old console that will be replaced soon
Can you even map the Z and C button to anything useful? The 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth, for example, has two extra paddles on the back of the controller. But you can only map them to standard Xinput inputs or macros, rather than being able to map them to arbitrary key presses. So the only real use they have is being an easier way to press L3/R3.
>$79
Why would you get that one instead of the GameSir T4 Kaleid?
>GameSir T4 Kaleid
looks very low quality, also wired. brand hasn't proven itself whatsoever, good morning
>looks very low quality
it isn't, though
>brand hasn't proven itself whatsoever
have you ever tried one of their controllers?
no, they've only made shovelware controllers until this one, looks like
competition heated the FRICK up in the space in the past 10 months, i haven't even seen this one. Throw it on the pile. Someone needs to do a review of all of these
a wired controller isn't even under consideration though. I don't like the design of this and you may consider it petty but I will never buy something from a brand with a stupid name like Gamesir
>I don't like the design of this and you may consider it petty
I don't like it either, but the controller is great either way.
>I will never buy something from a brand with a stupid name like Gamesir
lol
This looks like some madcatz tier shit, do you guys really buy this crap?
>This looks like some madcatz tier shit
flanderization/loss of meaning
that controller looks perfectly fricking fine, looks nothing like "madcatz shit" and you have no idea what that means apparently, were you ever inside a blockbuster video at any time during the 90s? no? not alive?
These chinkshit controllers are unironically better than first-party controllers nowadays. I used to be skeptical but once I made the switch I haven't looked back. It's not like the old days where third-party controllers were shitty knockoffs, these chink controllers have better components.
hasn't proven itself whatsoever
>lol
they sell a bunch of bog-standard chinkshit controllers and phone props. The reason I'm looking at the flydigi is they have had three successive generations of higher-end products now, at the top of this spectrum of brands
I really wanted Beitong Zeus 2 but it looks like it's a piece of shit. this space is really unpredictable.
Just ordered this for PC use. Looks to be really solid and comes with a charging station + 2.4 GHz receiver
thoughts on it so far? was thinking of picking one up myself
I bought the Bluetooth version of this for Switch and PC and it's pretty much perfect for my use case. The only real downside is that it lacks HD rumble which is a bit annoying for the odd game that uses it (like those handful of moons in Super Mario Odyssey).
>HD rumble
What does this mean?
the switch's brand of rumble, which is more precise but almost no games use
>the QC issues this company has had for multiple generations
8bitdo doesn't have qc issues
>Only thing I'd change is probably having the xbox layout for PC use
https://shop.8bitdo.com/products/8bitdo-abxy-buttons-for-ultimate-controller-xbox-layout
>8bitdo doesn't have qc issues
bull fricking shit they had problems with fricking buttons getting caught on the face and shit, don't feed me that horse shit
I would rather have gyro than analog triggers.
it does, kinda
?t=935
Man, that looks convoluted as frick. Why was everything working fine with pro2 but these ones are so shit? I guess i will just go with the cheap C 2.4g one and piss on gyro for now. Frick paying 70 shekels for a switch/pc only controller.
yeah it's a really weird choice. the "ultimate" controllers all have some kind of nitpick to them. I just want a pro 2 with hall effect sticks and a charging dock.
Hall Effect Sensors are a trendy meme for youtubers to shill controllers.
>2015-2021
>switch released 2017
>console where the problem was most common
>I've literally never seen a game in my life which used analog triggers outside of racing sims
the newest jak and daxter has weapons that shoot faster if you pull the trigger harder, but yeah outside of racing games it's mostly stupid gimmicks like that. there's a reason analog face buttons from the PS2 were dropped after all.
>because I don't play any hardcore games, nobody does
lol
Games such as...?
Every time I talk to someone who defends analog triggers they can never actually list non-racing-sim games that use them. Everyone vagueposts about how useful they are and how they're a necessary feature but when tasked with saying which games they're thinking of there's suddenly silence.
I wouldn't know about hardcore but no one ever mentioned MGS to you?
You mean MGS3? I thought that only used analog face buttons, not triggers, and no one in their right mind has ever defended analog face buttons.
>flight sims, any kind of milsim, various action games, etc
Cool list of games, bro.
I could've sworn I played some shooter where letting go of the triggers lightly made you put the gun away... but I really might be mistaken this with the analog face buttons in mgs
what else... I dunno, the FLUDD in super mario sunshine?
Alright, that's fair. Though I'll point out that Mario Sunshine on Switch just uses the fourth shoulder button (since the Gamecube has only 3) as a "plant feet" button for FLUDD and there's no functional difference because FLUDD only ever had 2 levels of intensity and was never truly analog.
Rift Apart also kinda uses it, only at two levels of intensity too though
I could swear some of the ps3 ratchet games also worked like this. if you had the melee weapon out, lightly pulling the trigger would pull out the weapon, ensuring that weapons with lock-on would have their aim assist function, and weapons like grenades would start showing their throwing arc so you could start aiming without wasting ammo first
like i give a rat's ass to sit here listing off games to you, type of homosexual who has never even raced
flight sims, any kind of milsim, various action games, etc
even if it were *only* racing games-- that's totally fine, as racing games are a major genre, and nobody cares if you don't play them
in fact, people who blanket don't play any sports or racing games are casuals.
>No, I want it to be a BUTTON so it can easily be pressed simultaneously with a face button when needed.
Skill issue, there's no reason why they should remove a feature.
Use the micro trigger option you ridiculous homosexual.
It's not the same at all. Have you ever tried to press one of those triggers in tandem with a face button, like in a fighting game? It's absolute ass.
> Angry.
> Angry at controllers.
Skill issue.
What's the difference between the regular and the pro?
I love collecting controllers. Anyone wanna tell me what this is?
Are the extra buttons genuine extra buttons like on Steam Controller / Elite, or can they only be mapped to existing buttons?
I like to collect controllers, give me some recommendations.
Looks nice but I'm content with this chinkshit
would've hopped on that day one if it was Playstation layout, sticking with pro 2
Why is it called Vader? Is it a reference to Darth Vader?
Thoughts on the Machenike G5 pro? I was looking to get one but would like to hear other opinions first
qrd?
How is this any better than the core Xbox controller or the Elite
will it get stick drift like all the other controllers these days?
i'm tired of getting new controllers
