>it's been over 10 years
>only one bad Kill la Kill game
what gives? that shit was insanely popular back in the day? why Platinum never picked it up?

List the Gurren Lagann games. Robot Wars doesn't count.
Another Century's Episode? (Idk, I never played it)
Gurren Lagann was never an any of the ACE games.
>what gives?
KLK was mid at best, and then halfway through it turned to complete shit.
It wasn't mid. First half was genuine 10/10. It went to shit the moment Nui appeared.
the mid-season boss rush arc was kino of the highest magnitude
DOSH KING
Do people really fap to "fanservice" like these 3 frames of not even naked ass, or is it a mass pretending meme like beer tasting good?
Personally I can't fap of the girl isn't completely nude.
>Personally I can't fap of the girl isn't completely nude.
sounds like a you problem.
not to say that that small bit of ass is worth fapping to
>Do people really fap to "fanservice"
>meme like beer tasting good
damn chill Black person, do you know how reddit you sound right now?
People see those 3 frames and it inspires them to draw pornography of her fully nude
>It wasn't mid.
It was.
not everything needs to be vidya
Games based on original anime IP are literally never good, so maybe it's good we only got one game after all.
at least your anime got a game
Fricking weird, man. Symphogear has some amazing potential as vidya.
and yet all we got was a gacha and it being in a crappy SRW clone where Hibiki gets a harem on accident
I mean even something as simple as a Necrodancer reskin would have been better.
the main director even worked on games before the anime it isn't fair
at best we can hope for shoutouts/references in Armed Fantasia
It's over man. Just play Revengeance again
Fumita is a hack
>that shit was insanely popular back in the day?
No it wasn't.
Normies can name Mario and Pikachu.
Most weebs can't name the Kill la Kill characters.
moron you clearly missed the time when everyone had a Ryuko avatar/wallpaper and Before My Body Is Dry played on every weeb's playlist and was included in most normie memes.
the fact that you're talking about this in the past tense goes to show this shit fizzled out years ago, no one fricking cares anymore
>that shit was insanely popular back in the day?
Was the line quoted, fricktard. Of course we're talking past-tense.
your autistic friend group =/= everybody
*hyperactive ADHD friend group
>tfw you lived long enough to see autism fall out of style
At the height of KILL la KILL's popularity - at the VERY fricking peak - it matched the daily background interest generated by boomer comic strip character Garfield.
Garfield game when!?
Odiebros, how do we compete?
>united states
yeah no shit, garfield is a 40 year old franchise with hundreds of strips, dozens of cameos a bunch of tv series, 4 feature film movies, an absurd ammount of merchandise anywhere from pencils to towels cups
>boomers the largest generation holding on to most of the regualr peoples wealth enjoy garfeild
>therefore a manga that is enjoyed by younger and smaller generations with far less wealth is inferior
have a nice day unironically you Black person tier moron
who vs whoms't
>Garfield game when!?
Anon I don't know how to tell you this...
I had the one where he repaired the TV, but threw away the "extra" parts and got sucked into the TV shows and had to escape. Caught In The Act for Genesis.
I had fun with it when I was a kid. Took me a while to beat it, and I think I got stuck on the black&white noir themed level.
Now THAT'S an....
>insanely popular
franchise.
KLK in shambles.
>if you're not more popular than fricking GARFIELD you're a failure
I don't even like KLK but you'd have to be a knuckle-dragging subhuman of the highest order to believe this.
...I don't even get what you guys are talking about, some chinese cartoon? Never heard of it.
Nice bait
I am in possession of the only good Kill La Kill game and you can't have it.
Does anyone else feel like media used to be just more fun 10 years ago? Shit like Kill la Kill would never be made nowadays. Look at modern shonens like JJK. Shit feels like sterilized garbage for asexuals. You can never get breasts and ass like before.
Youre just watching the wrong shit, Fire force for example has plenty of fan service.
Unfortunately Fire Force is boring trash.
>JJK
It's written and drawn by a woman so no fanservice for you.
>Shit feels like sterilized garbage for asexuals.
Ever since AoT, there's been many creators who grew up on oversexualized stuff that they decided to make stories and games without any of it. They feel that their work will be more respected and feel mature but in reality the opposite happens.
>It's written and drawn by a woman so no fanservice for you.
Most female mangaka love fanservice, disingenuous homosexual.
>Most female mangaka love fanservice
Involving men, yeah
This specific author hates objectifying women and loves feminism.
KlK is one of the only soundtracks I keep on repeat. The others are GitS and GitS SAC, .hack//Sign and Drive (with Ryan Gosling).
What would be the Kill la Kill of Vidya? Or is it impossible at this point?
The Kill la Kill of vidya would be the Kill la Kill video game.
Senran Kagura
I feel like it's impossible now. Internet culture and viral shit is now completely different. A game like klk would just generate cringe try hard TikTok memes at best.
Platinum hasn't been good in over 10 years either now that I think about it
I love Ryuko so much it's unreal
>that time when Kamiya got mad at all the people asking him to make a KLK game on twitter
Ironic considering all the licensed shovelware that followed.
Do anime viewers think Platinum is obligated to make a game out of anything involving swords?
It used to be a meme back when Platinum was relevant. Now nobody really cares.
The Kill La Kill IF game was actually far less shitty than I thought it was going to be and they took the time to go through an alternate reality story with the blessing/writing of the main manga/anime writers, designing the super-maxed out form of Junketsu for Satsuki , Trigger involved in everything etc.
The only problem is that it was still an arena fighter, and wasn't very deep. If they wanted to keep an arena fighter that would have been one thing, and I don't expect Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 levels of content (there's just not that much KLK ) but I would have liked to see an Attack on Titan 2 Final Battle level of content (which is probably one of the best anime games that pretty much advanced beyond the anime at the time, had both the main characters and alternate donut steel stories, and the gameplay was solid into the 3D mobbility gear and fighting titans etc) tha could work. Perhaps a One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 style Musou thing, especially if they made it so that a lot of the fighting would be against the baseline shitty life fiber zombie enemies, not the bosses, players , or the like wearing fancy multiple star uniforms or better Overall KLK IF had a good base, got Trigger and others onboard, but it was just too little at the time to be one of the greats, but for what it was and on discount it was decent.
>TTGL and Bleach
The former had very few games but it would be a massive undertaking to make a game feel as epic as the show did, but it would be damn worth it. The latter had surprisingly few games given how many characters, the designs, and depths and overall what could be told with a good battle system. I'd love to see a 'definitive" Bleach game now that the final chapters are being anime adapted.
Half the time I only remember Kill La Kill because I dropped it while a better show was airing
I never went to Ganker but I wonder what it was like when KLK was airing because you had that, the show in your pic, and season 2 of a shitty anime they loved so much they got renamed after it during season 1's airing
Samflam was wild ride
It has not been ten goddam years sinc--
>original run October 4, 2013 – March 28, 2014
Sweet Jesus God in Heaven, how the frick did that happen?
I don't hate KLK
but Luluco and LWA are just superior
1st half KLK > Luluco > LWA > 2nd half KLK
Luluco's ending is absolutely perfect. That aside Ninja Slayer deserves more respect.
felt the same when i watched kill la kill, it was cool but to me it was the weakest part of both imaishi's works and the trigger cinematic universe. stuff like luluco and lwa just surpassed it and it was never as good as its predecessors like gurren lagann or panty and stocking. even newer trigger like promare and gridman and edgerunners was still better in my opinion. i did watch it when it was relatively new though and its been so long, maybe i'd like it more now if i actually bothered to rewatch it
They ruined Satsuki at the very last minute
This anime has honestly changed my life.
I went into it not expecting much, considering that was hyped to shit. Holy fricking shit, was I blown away. I was hooked, like a baby to a tit with creamy foamy milk. I could feel the energy and hype flowing through my body, bringing light to my dull life. I resonated with Ryuko. I could feel her struggle and her desire to surpass her limitations, something that struck me hard. Everything suddenly stopped when I heard the words:
DON'T LOSE YOUR WAAAAAYYYYYYYYY
and I started trembling. That was me, I feel like I've been "losing my way" these past years. I haven't been able to hold a steady job, my grades were starting to slip, and my parents suspect that I'm gay. It was right then and there that I knew that I had to get my shit together. I can't think of any other anime that has had such a profound effect on me, let alone on the first episode. Tomorrow, I'm going to be a better man. Thank you, Kill la Kill, thank you Trigger. I won't lose my way.
my complements to the chef, if you would
Is that a pasta? I don't go on Ganker
I improved your Ryuko
now she needs a interactive flash media game and shes much better
DOGSHITja…
>copy SA2 and StH verbatim but with breasts and ass
>clueless ironic hot tropic weebs eat it up
play metal gear rising and watch kill la kill at the same time, they unironically share a number of motifs, plot points, and imagery
>why Platinum never picked it up?
Because they're a developer, not a producer, so they don't "pick" things up... Someone has to go to them and hire them to develop.
Unless that's what you really meant.
Was it really that bad?
