>magical and physical armor being separate of each other so that a team of full mages or a team of full physical damage is always better than a diverse team
I haven't finished bg, but the game itself seems a lot better. I enjoyed DoS immensely but mostly due to the split-screen coop. Split-screen coop in bg3 is utter trash, I hope they can fix it because everything else is great. At least until a bear fricks you in the ass.
Yeah, this shit is fricking killing me. >wanna go Necromancer/Warrior >pump one stat else you deal mediocre damage
Also, Scoundrel fricking sucks and you're better off going Ranger
I played Pathfinder before DOS2 and found D&D rulesets btfo whatever bland system DOS2 used and got really bored with it about 30 hours in. The interactions and diversity in play style is great but the game overall felt lacking in comparison to WotR. BG3 being D&D but more narrative rather than technical was a nice move for larian. If we could get the narrative of larian games and the technicality of Pathfinder system, you'd have a game to stand at #1 for a decade.
>Spend 4 minutes casting buffs for a fight that lasts 6 seconds because lol RTWP >Or download a program to cast all the buffs for you
And then at that point you're basically playing an idle game.
D:OS2 and BG3 are both fantastic cRPGs, but they're parallel to each other with different flaws. BG3 with D:OS2's combat might just be one of the best games all time
I miss some things from it like how you could mix poison and potions and then give them to a friend or how you could craft boots and some nails to become immune to slippery surfaces but in general i`d say the games are pretty even. BG have superior love interests though. We have not had such variety of actually hot females since The Witcher 3.
Yeah, not even close >better combat >better music >less homosexualry >no Black folk
Sadly they opened studios in anglo countries so the studio is ruined
Act 1 and 2 are the best. Picks up again in 4 a bit but not has high as the first 2
2 (as in Driftwood) does open up more with source abilities and is as detailed as 1
I would've preferred DOS3 over BG3
Maybe they can tone down the homosexual companions
DOS3 got canceled to make BG3
That was a spinoff, misinformation-kun.
fallen heroes was a Malady centered spin off, not DOS3, and it wasn't even been developed by larian
I couldn't stand DOS2. Getting a pre-existing, "serious ip" kept most of the worst larianisms in check in bg3.
except thst it didnt
the typical larian cringe is still on
in some aspects, definitely
biggest plus for DOS2 are the fights
I hope DOS3 will combine the best things from both DOS2 and BG3
that shit will be 10/10
This is not a bold or incorrect statement at all, but say this in the wrong place and you'll get destroyed.
Not really
>magical and physical armor being separate of each other so that a team of full mages or a team of full physical damage is always better than a diverse team
that depends on the enemy, gay

in case you don't know you should be pumping warfare if you're doing physical damage regardless of if you're using ranger or rogue skills

pathfinders build autism is so horrible and the combat is so trash im surprised anyone even plays it, its irreedemable garbage
it's not for the simpletons, sorry about your luck anon

Not with the moronic armor system it isn't.
dos2 with mods and a group of bros with dudeweedlmao is fun
D:OS2 and BG3 are both fantastic cRPGs, but they're parallel to each other with different flaws. BG3 with D:OS2's combat might just be one of the best games all time
DOS2 had the best movement/combat system
Hate 5e

Based.
dos2 has better fights and quests but bg3 combat mechanics are better

been playing this lately, just got to driftwood and kind of losing interest tbh. does it get more interesting/should i keep playing?

Source not being restored on rest and bless costing source is mad gay
Yeah but luckily there's an infinite Source source (kek) in the basement plus you learn source vampirism
I didn’t like either, or Pathfinder, or PoE. No nu-CRPG has done it for me.
try underrail
I don't even think it's better than DOS1
Yes it is
