If you join the discord you can see they are working on it. The team just don't work together very well and they all have other responsibilities so its taking as long as fricking skywind.
So theyre slacking off and doing nothing.
They have lives anon, they arent college students with endless free time. They have 40 hour week jobs. You can't just expect them to have 0 free time, nor would working that way produce a good game.

It WAS being made by /vp/ until a handful of lazy autists fricked off to Discord with it and claimed it was their game, despite doing jack shit with it for all eternity. If somebody else started making a game using Sage's Pokemon today, they would still be finished before the "official" version of the game.

Complete Pokemon fangames might be one of the most oversaturated things on the internet.
There are both romhacks (for gba) and fangames that have original stories which are completed. DS & 3DS romhacking has been developing but no one has made a fully original pokemon game with them.
At a certain point it's on them for the scope of the game. People with smaller teams have done more in shorter amounts of time.
Have they posted any new maps/sprites for the 6th gym city, or is it more like "we're totally working on it right now trust us"?
