this is baffling, glad this shit died, that's what they get for pandering to an audience that watches people play games, but don't play themselves, and the streamers they were trying to appeal didn't even play it.

Damn, went longer than I thought. It's a real shame that in just a few years there is going to be a slew of charming, fun games that will be borderline impossible to play because they were all pushed as a service and not a silly $20 game people would have happily added to their collections.
Gacha and online multiplayer games are a scam for this reason and anyone who still bothers with them is mentally deficient at this point in time.
At least other titles and franchises like Monster Hunter or Smash have a single-player mode you can always return to, or optional npcs in place of players.
I hope they learned not to rely on some homosexual streamers to advertise their games if they want a solid core audience. Great designs, solid ost, great gameplay, but they fricked something up along the way. Plus for a competitive game to grow you gotta have some "toxicity", removing chat and only allowing emotes is a moronic decision and serves no purpose. Most characters are also very hard to learn and getting stomped just makes you give up on it. I really like the game and i'll play it as long as possible but i doubt they'll make the right decisions for the next one
