I'm unironically rnjoying wotlk classic as we speak. It's simply kino, in atmosphere and gameplay.
i got a shaman and death kngiht that both just got to northrend.
game's easy, but it sure is pretty fricking comfy to play
WotLK was pretty cool but I don't like the flying, arenas, death knights, leveling gear or blood elves. I just like how the base classes play in WotLK, wish they could just port them over to classic.

didn't the devs say something about the possibility of turning stuff like pre-TBC Kharazan and Hyjal into dungeons/raids? If they go all in on that kind of stuff I can't see why SoD won't just end up being Classic+

What's really bizarre to me, are the ones getting mad at the idea of letting classes besides Warriors tank, or letting shit like Ret Paladin or Shadow Priest actually be viable.

People want the feeling of Vanilla WoW but thats impossible to achieve in its current form. The game is already completely figured out. There is no sense of adventure or anything new. Its not so much as the game being the exact same, because the game itself is a boring, broken mess with every class being bottlenecked into the optimal spec and gear. Its more that they want that same experience again, which I think SoD could potentially deliver on. The level caps emulate the slow leveling people and world pvp people did when the game was new and the runes, or whatever theyre called, give classes new options and allow for experimentation similar to actual vanilla WoW.

it's just cope. people were so hellbent on the hope that Classic+ was going to be a thing, and when it didn't happen, they convinced themselves that SoD WAS Classic+.
It's largely just the standard WoW cycle of "announcement, hope, release, play, disappointment, step away, repeat"
i've been #justfrickmyshitup since day 1. give me ridiculous game modes, like mounts moving at 500% speed, cross classes, everyone can do all professions at once, overworld mobs have hidden buffs that turn them into elite versions of themselves when engaged, make enemy pvp npcs respawn after 24 hours instead of 5 minutes

nobody agrees precisely on what classic plus is but i think most people would agree that giving every class spells from retail aint it. its like they picked the worst most low effort option and so they can say "SEE? TOLD YOU YOU DIDNT WANT IT" when it fails

Depending on how they buff the other classes, Warriors are going to be nuts. People always say Warriors need a healer to be good but every class benefits with heals. The real reason a healer is needed is to dispel snares. Now that Warriors will be able to charge in combat and remove snares, things will get crazy.
Alliance Warriors can get Windfury now, which is pretty lol because Human Warriors were already pretty nutty
I expect them to add some items with +weapon so these racials stop being so nutty.

It's called a Season because it's a temporary thing. "No changes" refers to the permanent situation. If they were making rogues tanks on all the permanent versions of the game people would not be happy.
