I've tried it a couple of times. I like the way that the guns feel, they have more oomph than fallout 4, and the relative scarcity is nice, but I hate the survival aspects and the clunky npcs pasted over the original world (not having NPCs from the start is the most insane shit I've ever seen).

Fricking what? Every enemy in F76 is a bullet sponge and a completely different level than F4. It takes multiple magazines to kill a ghoul.

The hunting rifle is completely non-viable. Like I guess you can maybe use it during a starter dungeon or something, but you can't go into event with a hunting rifle. It would take you several minutes to take out a single radscorpion, and there are going to like 30+ enemies that large during events.

its more just the case the weapon balancing in fo76 is really bad, if you want to do real dmg you either use vats automatics, cold shoulder, cremator, flamers, very specific legendary combinations and builds or you do no damage. basically all single shot weapons, non-cold shoulder shotguns, explosives, etc are useless

they completely took out the survival mechanics like, 2 years ago? they are just an aesthetic now. advanced players use food buffs to do more dmg. also all enemies drop contextual ammo now so this means you never run out of ammo, even though crafting it was a big part of the gameplay loop.
