Evergrace deliberately breaks rules and strays from usual chord progression. It's unique and bothersome to listen to for some but it gets by with some semblance of finesse whereas that Gankeranon is tone deaf.

The Evergrace soundtrack is absolutely kino and I'll not hear any bad talk about it. It's even funnier that the composer basically worked on every fromsoft game up until Demon's Souls, and the only reason he didn't/couldn't work on that is because the instrumentation called for an actual orchestra and he doesn't know how to write or read musical notation.
He just learned how to play a guitar by feel and learned how to frick around in software to pull samples together into something that sounds cool.

Actually filtered. I didn't even know Evergrace was Fromsoft until well after I fell in love with that soundtrack. It really has a mystical, kinda dreamlike feeling. When I listen to it, I get the feeling like I'm listening to something ancient.
After giving the shop music a few listens its really not that bad. Everything starts to blend together like an improvised musical number at a small village fair. Got a real festive and joyful quality to it.

watch some basic music theory like adam neely, 8-bit music theory, 12tones so you can identify why certain things sound good or bad
that's it, you're set up for success, enjoy learning to make music within a week

The Evergrace soundtrack is absolutely kino and I'll not hear any bad talk about it. It's even funnier that the composer basically worked on every fromsoft game up until Demon's Souls, and the only reason he didn't/couldn't work on that is because the instrumentation called for an actual orchestra and he doesn't know how to write or read musical notation.

go to plugins4free and samplestudio and get free VSTs and watch the cakewalk tutorials about how to use it and how to access VSTs (they're the instruments)
watch some videos where people compose music to see what it should look like in the end, shadycicada has a ton of content you can use as reference
make simple small loops at first to get a feel for it
watch some basic music theory like adam neely, 8-bit music theory, 12tones so you can identify why certain things sound good or bad
that's it, you're set up for success, enjoy learning to make music within a week
