Guys, i love alien, they did it jusfice.
Listen, pirate and wait for sale, buy outright, its worth it. Support good and passionate devs. Just play the game asap

I supported by wishlisting. 🙂
how is this different from firestorm?
i find these type of game very hard to play with my buddies cause there is no real goal and you end up just grinding the same floors.
It's nothing like firestorm, it's closer to Syndicate.
I love the Xenomorph
I love aliens
I loved BFGA2
And love RTT
Yet im at dead hills and not feelin' it. You're very constricted with the supplies and the best course of action id stay still until they go away. I thought a xeno was going to be dangerous enough to warramt a hard fight but not to respawn it. In reality they are easy enough but trigger hive hunts and the Stress level ends up killing the marines. Not many stealth moves to dispatch them or lure them away, and overall, not many mechanics in place.
I played a game called DUSKERS awhile ago and think it was a xeno hunting like game. I played GTFO and its somewhat the same "Dont wake up dad" kind of thing. But you got gadgets and stealth maneuver stuff.
I mean its a fine game this one, but somethings lacking and dont know what it is.
Get out of the first level and you'll unlock the sniper class that can use a silenced rifle to pick off xenos among other gadgets to use. You also start with a motion detector you can place down and set off to create a loud noise that draws enemies in
I know about the motion detector thing and actually what reminds me of DUSKERS, maybe the devs (slightly) played it too
Im gonna push through it. Maybe its a very very slow start. Would like it to be more sandbox and less set pieced but actual sandbox requires much more game design and game mechanics and technical building
>You're very constricted with the supplies
No, you are not. There's shitloads of all kinds of crap scattered across the level. Switch to normal or something so you have zero actual chance of doomspiraling with marine injuries.
This. I love the game, but I always had way more meds, tools, and ammo than I'd ever need. It feels like specials weapons should cost 1 ammo and motion trackers should use 1 tool to use.
I read in another thread that the resources in the game world are finite and you can actually burn through all of them and doomspiral into a gameover from not having enough gear left to finish the fight. How true is that? I'm assuming it's technically true but you'd have to be braindead or turtling way too hard to actually run out of supplies?
Its possible sure, but you'd have to play stupid and drag things out.
yes you could potentially do that if you look to fight every single enemy and startle every single patrol to start a hive attack
eventually you'll burn through medkits and ammo
the stuff you don't use gets banked for the next mission but since you can extract mid-mission, return with a 2nd squad to finish it off you might end up using more than you earn if you really suck at the game and be short supplies for the next mission. there's also a doom timer that advances so by taking too many breaks you can potentially make the game harder but not advance very far in the world and make your life way harder that way
it's a neat system though since it makes you really weigh having to fight or sneak. the first 2-3 missions are probably the hardest due to not having a lot of upgrades and learning how to manage your squad's mental health and trauma. that shit is way worse than running out of supplies IMO since it nerfs those marines with stacking debuffs if you don't manage it and it takes them out of service for a while once they get back to the ship
How tight is the timer, it goes by days right?
Is there any way to slow it down beyond managing to complete everything with as few evacs as possible?
i'm still fairly early in the game so idk if there's a way to counter the timer and extend it, so far it seems like no but you can customize the difficulty to reduce how punishing the timer is, there's easy, normal, hard and nightmare but each mode has options for different things you can adjust if you find it too punishing making your own custom difficulty setting essentially
Yes and no. In theory you could run out of everything permanently, but that would seriously require you to frick up. Most missions seem to expect you send 2 teams to finish them just fine.
But you also have Command Points, which are infinite and regenerate, which give you infinite map reveal, infinite mines, infinite stealth sniper shots, infinite grenades (with extra damage/slows), ect. So if you're actually using your Command Points I seriously doubt you could run out of gear. Plus if you focus on command points, quick recovery and a squad leader you can basically negate tiredness and stress so you have one A team running back to back missions with near infinite resources.
>I mean its a fine game this one, but somethings lacking and don't know what it is.
Maybe control over individual units. I don't like being forced to control my entire squad at once all the time. Sometimes they just don't go where you tell them because of the shit pathfinding
It gets more interesting after that first colony. By then you start actually having marines have classes, supplies get not quite as tight. I try not to grab more than 8 ammo at a time because you don't bring any extra back with you.
You're playing like a b***h and being punished for it my man. They give you all the tools you need to wreck shit, but you need to use them.
They teach you how to use motion trackers at the very start of the game, have you forgotten about them? Throw down motion trackers all over the place, especially at the APC spots. If you pop them you can draw all the enemies to that location and make a clear path for yourself so you can advance. Whenever you need to make noise like blowing a wall, do it then immediately trigger the motion tracker to draw the aliens to it rather than you. If you ever break stealth because you get caught, pop the tracker and draw all the aliens not nearby away, kill the ones that rush you then either start making progress through the level while the aggression timer ticks up or make a shelter to cancel the timer.
Whenever control points are at max you should be setting something up so you aren't letting the regen go to waste.
This is unironically the only good Alien game since Isolation. It's just so fricking buggy and has too many baffling small decisions. But fundamentally if Alien Isolation is Alien, this is Aliens.
These are still meh mechanics
"Mehchanics" if you like them
You're still playing to wait until the alien goes away, and fighting is a bad idea. There's no advantage to actually fighting as in that alien will get respawned soon after and you will just chew up ammo anyways or get yourself in danger. The best course of action is to NOT fight. And in a stealth game, it's not about fighting, but about fighting when the time is right. There's no real advantage in this game. As for the sniper it's just about clearing the one in the way instead of waiting to go away.
The game has almost a good thing going, but it's still not quite there. If an expansion came that cemented the ideas into a tight tactical game with more nuances it will get more recognition. It's almost very good. As it is, its an ok adventure.
>Stress level ends up killing the marines.
You didn't read the tutorial. Click on a marine and spend medicine to heal stress. Additionally when in a room if you weld the doors shut (even if it just has 1 door) you can rest and heal stress.
>Colonial Marines need to pop pills on the battlefield just to not completely lose their shit
No doubt the pills are manufactured by WY too.
At least its accurate to the movies with them being a bunch of scared jocks
Biggest gripe is that there's really no customization options to play dress up with the marines, even Colonial Marines had that
Was interested in it but it has moronic sanity shit in it and thats a deal breaker for me. Literally unplayable.
Do you get android recruits?
I want my fricking robots clowning on xenomorphs.
>Men only want one thing
If Weyland-Yutani had been sensible they would have taken the alien research in that direction, instead of the ridiculous plan to turn the creatures into weapons under their control.
>Pop her cherry
>Melts my dick off
Goddamn you, Bishop!
Controller support?
The gameplay is great. The UI could use some tweaks and I've run into several bugs that required a load to fix.
Pretty sure it was made for a controller considering how dumb some of the default hotkeys are.
>Pretty sure it was made for a controller considering how dumb some of the default hotkeys are.
Alright, thanks, on the wishlist it goes!
>Fricking Home key to center on squad
It's high time I kill myself, lads
one misplaced comma in the code ruined the entire game
I guess it's part of the experience, but I absolutely hate that sometimes my soldiers hit all their shots, and other times they get assraped by a single alien because they can't hit anything or just refuse to move when I tell them to.
The Colonial Marines are incompetent as hell in every depiction across the franchise, military standards in the future have gone to pot.
please tell me the therapy is revealed as some nefarious WY mk ultra project.
haven't finished the game but i don't think so, there's been other aliens media that talks about marine's mental health, fireteam elite had the synth esther who was partly there to care for the marines mental state and act as someone they could confide in. it's partly why the male/female marine synths are slightly older men or women so they are disarming to the younger marines. all the sexy androids in the aliens universe tend to belong to high ranking execs as assistants/pleasure models like in aliens stronghold
benis
Wasn't there a bug where higher ranking squaddies with advanced specialisations would actually have lower accuracy? Think they fixed it.
Seeing that xeno with pickaxes and shovels sticking out of it surrounded by a bunch of dead miners was badass
F
Xenos having alien blood is bullshit.
If not for that one small detail they would be so much easier for small groups of non-military to fend off.
*acid blood is bullshit
Oh yeah I absolutely love their acid blood and the fact that I can't separate my units so whenever an alien gets too close, every squad member gets splashed with it.
Does the "end of game" counter go away after a bit? Im missing quite a few secondary objectives, trying to get through the main missions before I fricking insta-lose
So what is the plot of this game?
kill aliens
So far, it's about a crazy cult that worships aliens
Xenomorphs are here, shit's fricked.
Weyland-Yutani bad.
is this turn based?
No, its real time with a slowdown you can activate to give yourself more time to act.
There's been a few of those in the franchise.
you can change the slowdown to a pause if you'd like in the options menu, at least on hard, dunno if nightmare disables it
The squad moves as one entity, you dont actually use any buttons to shoot, just abilities
Achktually, you have to press a button to shoot if you're crouching behind cover
>The squad moves as one entity, you dont actually use any buttons to shoot, just abilities
not pressing the fire button
>press ___ to KILL THAT BASTARD
you're letting them get to close
This is another paid shill thread.
Someone is determined to kill this entire franchise because they refuse to put out anything that isn't complete dogshit.
Who asked for this game and why is it so poorly made? The pathing is dogshit and the story makes no sense within the universe.
I agree with this post and we need to make this a hostile enviorement for shills. Frick off the lot of you there's nothing good about this game except maybe the atmosphere to a degree.
>it's a bad game because of pathfinding issues
There's some wonk, but you can always deal with it with relative ease. Honestly, I am having more with the dogshit english grammar, and I am not even a native speaker.
>story doesn't fit in the universe
How come? Have you ever looked what this franchise is beyond the movies?
Two of those symbols are clearly sentry guns, but what exactly is a "Battle Drone" in comparison?
Techie specialty. You upgrade the basic drone and it gains an SMG.
What about the story "makes no sense"?
Hello schizo
>Someone is determined to kill this entire franchise
Yeah his name is Ridley Scott
Yeah agreed now lets talk about how Elden Ring is the best game ever also ToTk is the best game ever also frick I love TF2, Final Fantasy and every AAA slop out there
The only decent game since isolation. Well done on the vibe of the second movie.
I love the tiny details and screens in isolation, quite a soulful game
Why does this give me Starcraft 1 cutscene vibes.
>first level has level 1 rookies kill Pretorian, kill a queen and her whole hive
Uh, I haven't even unlocked real classes yet. How are they going to up the ante? I feel like this should be the 'peak'.
Quantity
As your planet infestation goes up you face way more aliums. Last mission I had 6 sentries and the ARC and they still got within acid distance during the final section.
Fricking runners.
Why did the spaceship in Aliens not have any crew outside of the squad of marines.
Future fail-proof tech + they have an android.
Automation I'm assuming. The nostromo was hauling a huge ass refinery behind it that apparently didn't need any crew either.
also loving it
WALK
DONT RUN
want to check out that body/cargo container/datapad?
WALK TO IT
got a objective indicator to get to?
WALK TO IT
a marine suddenly shouts "i think it's coming right towards us!"
IGNORE THAT IDIOT AND WALK SOME MORE
as much fun as my first few restarts where I just ran around blasting bugs i was getting absolutely slaughtered and pulling a hive onslaught
All running does is increase the speed they spot you when in los. They can't hear you running.
Well there's also the fact your marines can shoot while walking but not while running.
you also never know when you might run around a corner or into a room full of eggs or sleeping xenos, I made that mistake for the first and last time.
Walk when exploring & run across previously explored ground is my rule of thumb.
Unless you've triggered an onslaught then run like hell to a chokepoint or the APC.
Game's good up until that dogshit ending tbh.
Looks awful
THREAD THEME
>LET'S ROCK!!!
also get somebody a smart gun as fast as you can
Too bad that game was stupid and didn't let you cycle through troops, could only play as the other marines by losing the ones you were using.
I don't know what this means, you can select specific marines during pause to have them specifically do stuff if that's what you mean.
>that theme
Was this produced by the 4kids rap guy?
don't know but when it kicks in over the final credits after beating this one you feel like an ultimate badass on a day on the farm quote quote quote
>2d sidescroller
>no jumping
would have been so much better as an overhead zeldalike instead of a metroidvania.
Marines are too fat and lazy to jump
It's perfect. Not enjoyed a game like this for a long time. Hopefully a sequel will expand the base mechanics abit more. I wouldn't say no to a Predator version either. Just no AvP dogshit.
HURRY UP YOU SLUGS
>HURRYUPYOUSLUGSHURRYUPYOUSLUGSHURRYUPYOUSLUGS
Look I get why they did it but frick me, make it proc like 25% of the time not every time
they already fixed it
How pozzed is it?
aliens is hard to poz cause it's military based
alien gets pozzed cause it's homosexual civilian stuff
there's a couple of femnigs on the ship but since it's future america i guess that's not a shock
>femnigs
Tiresome.
Brats crying about the aliens SPESS MAHREENS having chicks or minorities in their ranks is pretty fricking laughable.
The main character of the alien franchise is a women, so its pozzed dont waste your money or time brother
All the white guys are evil and your squad is replaced by blacks. By the end you squad commander is black (replaces insane white man). The workshop leader is black woman, doctor is black woman, scientist is black man (replaces evil white man). All lead by a strong woman of not sure what color (that worked under evil white man).
It's also funny how, in fact, they switched roles, making the Marine commander a dumb hysterical woman, and the b***h of a company manager a woman of steel balls who handles stressful situations. And there's nothing to say about the popoos, who seem to have climbed down from a palm tree yesterday and suddenly became heads of departments on the ship.
Frick
My only issue so far is sentry guns don't do enough damage and the game forced me to kill off one of my marines because he was talking cult shit
Isn't there two options to that event? What happens if you let him stay and get the brawl in the cafeteria?
Yeah but the mess hall incident makes it sound like I'll lose more than just a marine.
Maybe it'll just lead to some injuries or other temp debuffs for multiple squaddies.
Best game i've played this year, unironically. Yes, it has some bugs. But i can't remember the last time i sat down and marathoned a game like this. Zelda: Totk was such a slog to get through that i ended up dropping it halfway in. System Shock remake is a close second.
I want Ross to review an Aliens game
just wait 30 years
Do you get to tape a pulse rifle to a flamethrower for an upgrade
i don't have any friends
This is a single player game, you are probably thinking of Left4Dead: Aliens or something.
There are too few Alien variants. Next game should take place on a jungle world and throw a whole bunch of weird shit at you.
Also the Predators. Fricking loved AvP 2010. By day the player can send out missions across the planet gathering resources and survivors just like DD except it's a three faction hunt, then every night it turns into a wave based survival game where you need to fortify your settlement against attacks. On top of the Darkest Dungeon squad quirk management, add base stress and resource management.
Only like the kids toys gave xenomorphs a great variety of different kinds, cuz gotta sell as many toy variants as possible right?
the comics which vary in quality at least have a number of cool designs to draw from, dunno why that shit is never somehow worked into the games
fireteam elite at least had an okay roster for aliens
things should be way crazier though
>no predator
Not interested.
>Cloaking hunter with a plasma mounted shoulder cannon that would one shot your marines with it's speargun.
>can be neutral entity that will actively hunt xenos
>or play as predators
Meh, human marines are boring.
>AVP2 laugh rings out as he crits your rookie from half the map away
There's no Xeno spitters, which are somewhat of a staple in the franchise after Aliens.
Think they removed spitters for balance reasons.
Spitters are gay.
They're in literally half of the mainline franchise lmao, Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection.
Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are trash, series should have stopped at Aliens.
They're trash but still canon because Aliens is one of the most mistreated franchises in history.
Reminder that WY canonically gets replaced by Walmart.
>if only you knew how bad things really are
Not even WY can overcome a force of such insidious corporate evil.
>Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection.
Not canon
Real tired of the bugs. Concussion debuff says that "The marine falls unconcious and can be healed by using the first aid interaction option"
Mine is greyed out because it's trying to have him perform first aid on himself. I think it's fricked because he also has the knock down status effect at the same time.
Earlier in this mission I had another bug when it forces you to place 3 sentry turrets in the specified locations. After placing all 3 it triggered a large attack wave without actually finishing the mission objective. After picking up the sentry and placing it back down I got another attack wave but the mission completed that time.
Also don't bother upgrading your sentries unless you have a perfect long ass corridor with a big wave coming. It's just a short duration buff.
The game is really fun when it works.
I want a game where you play an Anti-Xeno battle android and just absolutely clear house through the alien scum.
Riftbreaker
>Genocide Simulator
You mean
>game plays somewhat like Alien Isolation
>but the aliens completely ignore you at first because you're not a biological entity. You can just rip tear and blast the frickers with literally zero repercussions other than acid maybe damaging you slightly, and the aliens freaking out in confusion
>the real challenge lies in keeping the human NPCs alive and getting them out safely
>the more you engage with the lmaos to protect the humans, the more they start learning to perceive you and begin taking action against you, eventually even outright attacking you
>saving the humans requires going loud and making the aliens smarter and more aggressive toward you. This might hinder your long term goals which don't involve saving the humans
>even after getting aggressive, the aliens don't actually know how to kill you and will pierce your "heart" or behead you or take off a limb and then just leave assuming you're dead. This permanently damages you but you can survive and get repairs from the bodies of other androids in the area that ran out of power and "died" from abandonment
>It takes quite a few "executions" before you can actually die for good
>most players will try to save the colorful cast of humans and play the game the hard way
>alternate route allows you to ignore or even just kill all the humans, then casually stroll through the game walking simulator style, occasionally completing a puzzle to fix a generator or whatever (this is way harder on the normal route with ayys attacking you at the same time), and you just get the mcguffin and leave the place without the aliens ever noticing you and then nuke it from orbit
That concept actually sounds interesting.
What is everyone's opinion on the Crusher? Because it owes itself to ACM, which was a fricking scam of a game.
>put puddle of fire in front of it
>stands there staring at you
>fricking dies
Underwhelming
One thing I don't get is that it's so fricking slow, it walks everywhere while every other alien has a run animation.
I dunno man. I wouldn't be surprised if it was bugged in some way or if it's just supposed to charge you and catch you in a narrow room.
I have no idea what the Praetorian actually does since every time I see one I shoot it a few times and it runs away. After coming back and getting shot in the face 5+ times it eventually dies before it can get away again.
Praetorians are programmed to not engage 100%.
They are supposed to stay out of fire and spawn drones every once in a while.
But their pathfinding bugs out and runs in front of you until it dies.
The first time I fought it I died cause I couldnt maneuver in the close quarters, so I just planted mines all over the place and ran away until it died. Its also how I deal with Queens.
I found Queens to be pretty weaksauce, they needed to be upgraded to empresses or something in the final two missions.
I just RPG'd them then melted them with plasma beams.
Yeah all I had to do on Pioneer Station was lay suppressing fire on the synths and walk around while unloading on the Queen, but I think that was my least favorite Queen fight so far because I enjoyed the set up for the fight for the previous ones.
Are synths only enemies in this game? Because saw a trait that mentioned enemy and allied synths.
I don't know I havent seen that trait yet, I only know about repairing them and taking them back to the Otago. I still find it bullshit that Synths are always seen just chilling with the Xenos and not trying to kill them to contain the outbreak.
You can find some but they act as mechanics, basically dont do much
Problem is they are too slow and you can kite the hell out of them. The only time I'm having trouble with the queen is when there's other aliens on the map. Especially frickin facehuggers.
I dealt with queens by putting 5 sentry guns into a corridor, launching a grenade at the closest group of eggs to get aggro, and legging it back to the sentries. She gets nuked in seconds.
Playing the game on hard is giving me fricking anxiety attacks.
>Squad searching for survivors in a laboratory
>.......beep......
>2 dots on either side of a long hall way
>Both heading towards my squad
>Stuff squad into small closet with barely enough room to not open the door
>.....beep...
>.....Beep.....
>.....BEEP......
My heart cant handle this much more.
i'll try it later because i'm not sure if i'll like it as a real time game
Launching a fricking rocket at the bigger aliens is great, it just wrecks em. Is anyone playing on the hardest difficulty?
>mfw when i realized you CAN customize the marines
i really wish i could make the menu texts just a little larger like the subs
I feel no attachment to these incompetent crayon-chewers.
They make Xcom rookies seem like paragons of humanity.
Female faces are one of the most horrendous I've seen in a game
You think they will release mod tools?
that first time you realize an alien is dragging away one of your marines in the middle of a firefight
sorry ruiz see ya next time
>Can't use grenade launcher close to friendlies
>Flamethrower works just fine
>marine has pyrophobia
>give them the flame unit
i'm in charge here dammit
How does the Smart Gun work in this game? Like a LMG?
50 more rounds than the pulse rifle, has a longer burst and can be set up like a sentry gun. I believe it also has its own class-specific perks
nta but I wish there was more freedom with marine selection. Not being able to move the sniper individually into place for a kill is a pain every time. Also formations would be nice.
I started putting the Sniper as the Squad Lead and havent had an issue since then.
Like shit, does almost no funny damage and is needed purely for suppression.
Smartgun does the most damage in the game lmao, only the plasma rifle might exceed it.
It fires 4 rounds per burst compared to the Pulse Rifle's 2.
It’s good but gets repetitive due to the lack of enemy variety.
I don't mind the lack of variety, my main annoyance with the game is stealthily taking out a patrol and 30 seconds later a new one shows up and just does the same patrol. Pioneer Station was such a pain in the ass. but my infestation is already maxed out cause I wasted a lot of days just trying to gather resources and level up marines trying to get their negative traits removed.
>patrol spawns on top of you
Anon-kun you weren't trying to keep the hive response low were you?
>Not mining the spawn points.
>Finally get to the spire, item bugs out and cant pick it up
>Have to restart ENTIRE FRICKING MISSION cause cant pick up item
Has anyone used the flying drone for anything useful?
Swapping over to it feels like a pain in the ass so I haven't bothered since I unlocked the gun for it.
I think, like a lot of things in this game, they really just copied it almost wholesale from Xcom2. It's a Gremlin, and they thought it would be cool, but yes it doesn't do anything really because it's so inconvenient to give it orders, it's really just another half a marine of firepower.
The drone is shit. Sure you can have it scout and make noise, but it's not a must have. The combat version is underwhelming.
Yeah. I'm thinking of just switching him out for a sniper and having someone run the nerd perk so I can hack doors.
Silenced sniper is great
Is there any depth to the base management? Do the aliens attack our base from time to time? Is their any modding support or steam workshop planned?
No, it isn't anemic but there's nothing particularly interesting or innovative about it. They kind of copy pasted the workshop, lab, and barracks from nu-xcom, but not as interesting and with a couple of new things.
There are also these little events that happen each day with two choices to decide on but they're really paltry and don't add much at all imo.
It's a good game but it has it's issues and could have honestly done a lot more with its systems to be engaging.
Also the voice acting is pretty fricking amateur hour from everybody except the main Sergeant and the main scientist, it wears on you a bit after a while.
>Main scientist
No one tell him
Thanks. Then I'll get the game after it gets a deep discount.
Don't really have much to add other than yeah I've been enjoying it, really damn good Aliens game, I also love how Queens have been being treated with respect as actual units now and not end game McGuffins.
>cultists pose a bigger threat than the xenos
frick the refinery level
Spam grenades and they all either die or go flying.
So basically its to Aliens what Isolation was to Alien?
Not quite. It's not as good a strategy game as Isolation was as a horror game. It's decent.
LET'S SEE WHAT'S INSIDE
HURRY UP YOU SLUGS
OPEN UP SESAME
How they haven't made Alien Isolation sequel yet is beyond me
>He doesn't know
i wish this shit was more like xcom. real time combat is one thing but not being able to split up your marines at all feels fricking moronic
It's been a day since I deleted the game, and the scanner is still beeping in my ears.
Reminder that the Xenomorph canonically originates as a gay android's pet project mere years before the Nostromo incident. Despite the Space Jockey being fricking fossilized by that point.
Reminder that good/cool stories are canon. Shitty stories are non-canon.
Unironically the most based choice in regards to fiction. Well done anon.
Ridley Scott has always been a hack
>Has no idea what they are but
>But knows they're dangerous enough to require this Cerberus thing rather than just let it smash up the leaving ship and letting the port authorities next stop deal with it
>calls it an infestation early on
>only to LATER learn they're parasites and then insist on the correct terminology "infestation not infection!"
I feel like Phoenix Wright would be bagging the table right now. That guilty response she gives them... it's not just because of Cerberus is it? Is the twist she was actually the one smuggling xenos?
So was insane business woman a synth or not? Why make such a stupid mystery in a single scene of dialogue jej.
>So was insane business woman a synth
Yes, she is confirmed Asian,
>everyone is black
>no let's rock
>Avoid female squad leader at all costs
>Otherwise have to listen to "HU HU HU HU" every 5 fricking seconds
Why are they trying to make me hate women even more?
frick this game is hard. just got down to the mines and killed a queen but quit after because i got my booy clapped when i wasn't prepared to get swarmed. i have no idea what i'm doing with the classes and shit and the medbay crap is fricking annoying as hell. do you just cycle out rookies to get more squad members each mission?
Typically you split the mission into 2 parts or so. Queen on that one is like the halfway so I'd go back to the apc or weld a door and rest. If you extract you can refill supplies and swap marines
>no battle report at the end of the last mission
fricking blue-balling game, I need to know how many bullets I spent goddammit
really though I wish there was more, I don't want it to be over already :'(
I'm on what I assume is the finale of the second(?) mission where it introduces the dorment sleeping xenos you have to sneak past in the warehouse the walk into a room with a queen in it, frick me this is hard I just keep getting wiped over and over, unironic skill issue I guess
>Infestation level 5
>Hard Difficulty
>Lv.2 Onslaught triggered
>Enemy Praetorian spawned
>Bum rush the nearest corner
>Place 5 sentries
>Suppressing fire down the middle
COME AND GET ME YOU FRICKING BUGS
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I hate that you're just stuck with 4-5 dudes for the rest of the game when the movies show an entire platoon.
Would be nice to get two squads of 5 once you get the OG APC.
This is the first game I pre-ordered since 2013 (Colonial Marines was my last time pre-ordering), and I was very satisfied this time.
This is also one of the few single player games i've actually completed all the way through in years.
Turns out games can still be good when all the budget doesn't go into stupid shit like battle passes and in-game shops.
The only complaint I have is there is nothing to do once you've beaten it aside from start a brand new save.
Wish there was a new game+ so you could start again but with all your veteran marines. You can't even view the codex at all without loading into your last save.
DUN DADADADA-DUN-DUN
DADADADA-DUN-DUN
DADADADA-DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN
This fricking level man. Holy shit.
This was rough. Had to bring the A team with extra upgrades.
I couldn't find the PDA for the secondary objective on my first run then found it instantly when I returned the next day with my rookie team.
I swear the PDA's are bugged in this game where they don't show at times.
Also going back to the first few missions to get a couple of PDAs as well, they're in the most in your face places yet somehow I missed them on my first visit.
