A lot of game need to cut blood or violence from their trailers, this is nothing new. There are entire Doom Eternal trailers where the person playing whiffs everything to make sure it's properly rated.
Remake was already T-rated, iirc japan's esrb is even worse about stuff but it just feels like a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to make your game semi-realistic but still treat the models like they're simple 3D shapes
