I dont even consider sony as Japan anymore. Shit truly is grim
You say that but If Hi-Fi Rush had been day one on PS5 or arrived on Switch at all Tango would still be with us, guaranteed. For all of their "consoles le dead" shit talking PC gays were fricking worthless.
>Hi-Fi Rush had been day one on PS5 or arrived on Switch at all Tango would still be with us,
It flopped on PS5, too, and the Switch is too weak to run it. >inb4 It had no marketing for the PS5
It had the same amount of advertising as Sea of Thieves on PS5, and that game ended up being the best-selling PS5 game in Eupore and 3rd best in the US and Canada.
The truth is that the gays complaining about it flopping are the same gays that didn't care enough to actually play it.
Then Sony is going to win out then. They have the superior console and superior games compared to Shitendo who just makes unpowered crap and children's toys. You will never find a more SOULFUL game like the TLOU 2 on the Nintendo b***h. You will not find a better fps like HellDivers 2 on the Pisswitch. Persona 3 Reloaded, Demon Souls remake, Elden Ring. The list goes on.
It is over for Nintendo. I would recommend you sell your Switch for whatever you can get for it cause it ain't going to be worth shit soon.
>sony >japan
not anymore
I dont even consider sony as Japan anymore. Shit truly is grim
Sony is dead, as well. It just hasn't stopped moving yet. Nintendo, a bunch of mobile publishers, and PC indies is all that's left.
It is obvious that none of you know a thing about Sony. They are cooking up some great games. You will see the fruits of their labor soon.
>s-sony dead too
kek all the copers coming out already
moronic Black folk were probably spamming gigachad_phil.jpg since 2020
The one intelligent person in this thread.
...Oh and I forgot. FF7 Rebirth and FF16. Boom. Both game of the year winners. Nintendo doesn't have shit on them. Sony is BASED.
Not that guy, but Nintendo is making so much fricking money right now. They aren't spending money on acquisitions. They have no debt. The have no shareholders that they're legally required to suck off. Their liquid assets are enough to keep them going for 100 years. They're making a mockery of every other publisher and hardware dev. In terms of who is winning and who is untouchable, it is definitely Nintendo. Strictly business speaking.
>Nintendo net worth as of May 07, 2024 is $64.47B >Microsoft: $3 trillion >Sony: $103.32 billion
Microsoft's net worth is based on their entire ecosystem, though, not just gaming. Same for Sony. Nintendo is still the most stable of the 3. When you ask people which of the 3 is most likely to still be around in 50 years, they're going to say Nintendo.
>When you ask people which of the 3 is most likely to still be around in 50 years, they're going to say Nintendo.
I meant gaming divisions, not companies as a whole, btw
look, company's market cap is inflated if they are listed on US stock exchange. I bet Nintendo would be worth a lot more if it's list on a US exchange, at least over 100 billion
>spender goes full moron and spends over 200 billion on acquiring publishers and gamepass deals just in 5 years >pajeet nadella and shareholders finally realized that Xbox exists because of that insane spending >they take away control from Xbox leadership and now nadella aka shareholders call shots
This was bound to happen.
The bigger question is why it took Microsoft this long to properly intervene. They could easily look at any news article and see that their gaming division wanted to acquire a company for nearly $70 billion. They also have tons of data to look back on too before realizing that making that investment back would be very difficult, especially with the increasing demands that comes with making AAA games. Why the frick would they let it go through in the first place.
>rare saved for now because they're all in on picrel >perfect dark sucks >rare closes next
Rare isnt working on the Perfect Dark reboot IIRC. That's down to some "AAAA" studio called "The Initiation", but nobody has heard shit since.
>The bigger question is why it took Microsoft this long to properly intervene.
Because they made Phil president and let him take a whack at Xbox for a while. A lot of what he did seemed good, but now they decided to replace him with some person I've never heard of before who decided to start their career by closing down a few studios and then telling everybody they're going into phones again. >They could easily look at any news article and see that their gaming division wanted to acquire a company for nearly $70 billion.
I'm fairly certain Microwiener's own higher ups approved that deal.
>rare isn't working on pd
point taken but as dumb as microsoft is they probably don't torch rare like they did bungie and kill another franchise. rare is a name they don't want to lose for now even if they have nothing to do with the current game. as long as rare makes nice esg news stories and their IP doesn't flop they can stay. otherwise they've outsourced so much development to india for sea of thieves there's not a reason for them to exist on their main moneymaker
other takes and some are not hot
activision stays. cod replaced army of one as the usmil recruiting game. probably funded by usg directly. recruiters hated new soldiers trying to win by being fast and bunny hopping like quake and ut so arena shooter dead and realistic shooter is the new thing and the army made its own game. cod took over as a more fun version
blizzard gets mass layoffs because it can't make money with esg rules. skins and new heroes don't sell in overwatch. d4 sucks. wow can't keep subscribers for more than a month at a time.
ms buys embracer group for cash sits on them for a couple years and starts a frickton of layoffs
studios like the one that made ori and probably had a decent return on investment get shut down for not making enough to compensate for the moronic acquisitions
blackrock realizes they can't condition people into being morons in just a few years without more trillions and fricks off
>Why the frick would they let it go through in the first place.
Because it's not about Xbox. It's about the Microsoft ecosystem. It's the same thing Google and many others are doing. If someone uses 1 product, they'll be more likely to use another with the same logo. iPhone, Apple watch, MacBook, Apple TV, AirPods, it all snowballs.
>"We're really happy with hifi rush's performance" >Kill tango >"We need to make smaller, quality games"
Guys I'm starting to think businessmen aren't that intelligent
If you create a walled garden, and you feed enough [CENSORED]slop to your customers to make them addicted, then you can abuse them and take all the money you want and they will keep crawling for more.
They are speculating that they will lose some customers but they will keep all the mentally deranged addicts that will throw any money.
Tell me Ganker are they right?
You will keep crawling for more like a slave?
I don't get why Xbox is even a thing anymore. It used to be the case, that it was good for it to be around, because it meant competition, but Xbox haven't been able to compete in more than a decade.
Nobody really knows for certain, but there have been some leaks about Microsoft following Apple, making the move to ARM in the home PC market, and providing OEMs a limited selection of ARM SOCs to choose from for new systems they sell.
Those systems would obviously be incompatible with PC gaming, so they would be merging the platforms essentially 'Xbox' will be ARM Windows.
Basically the move that insiders at Microsoft have been talking about for around a decade, which is actually pretty fast for them.
probably. the trick is getting an ip that people like on mobile because it kills if it's the right formula. i think FEH made more than all the real fire emblem games.
1 year exclusives aren't compelling enough by themselves to get a console. i have a PS5 because it's the cheapest media player / streamer that i know of. don't care about ps6
It's been shifting to this for years. Consoles are no longer consoles. They're just shitty prebuilt PCs. Only Nintendo has a dog in the console game anymore due to their gimmick and robust lineup of exclusives they refuse to make fricking games for.
i'm assuming that there will be a compatibility layer developed for xbox through windows to play xbox games with and the new xbox will be a brand of gaming PC. if they dont take my games i dont give a shit what happens
They'll just be ARM Windows boxes with certain set hardware profiles.
That is how Microsoft will finally realize their dream of the clean break they've wanted to make.
No more Steam, and Microsoft will have total control of gaming through "Microsoft Gaming".
Even if Steam isn't completely blocked, an ARM version of Steam has nothing to run, or would have to emulate everything like it does on MacOS.
Which works so poorly it has been driving Linux adoption among former MacOS users.
>Microsoft Gaming

Only Sony and Nintendo remain

Yamato gods, I KNEEL.
I did my part. Turns out I'm only one of about ten people.
It's not your fault, it at least partially failed due to zero marketing. I'm convicted the "shadow dropped" sugar coating wasn't organic at all.
hi fi rush would still be an obnoxious piece of shit with a disgusting westernized anime style.
>disgusting westernized anime style
Is defiantly leagues ahead of anything they have coming now so I might as well be giving it credit.

Sony is Japanese but PlayStation is American. Nintendo is the Japanese console
sony does what microdoes. soon they will quit consoles too

good riddance

No, we only close studios that make games.
See: Hi-Fi Rush, Prey, etc.
we need a plan of action to remove playstation HQ from troonyfornia, how do we proceed Gankerros?
Follow Project Wingman's example and bomb the whole state.
Is Microsoft schizo enough to cause the crash while gaslighting gamers that it's all their fault for making them do it? I hope so.
?si=4vOyw5AT6fjG_TrT
Entertainment in general is about to crash and MS has money to mitigate it.
Also, {{{they}}} want streaming ASAP and the death of old media and piracy

This. They'll finally be worth a whole 3% of microsoft by the end of the year, I can just feel it!

I will now subscribe to Game Pass

So Pajeetsoft hakai-ing my Minecraft account out of existence was just the beginning. This show is going to be good.
All that changed over the years with Shitbox is that they improved the design of their controllers. Their platform is a waste of electricity.
the next console is going to be called Microsoft X for sure
not with Elon renaming Twitter.
Microsoft Box.
Mbox.
MicroBox.
Box.
SoftBox.
The option is endless, and it's all laughable.
Windows Gaming. Here, I solved your naming BS, microwiener
It'll be called the "Microsoft Xbox"
XtraSoft
Microsoft is already named after Gates' dick. zing!

If only. Microsoft used to publish some cool games before Xbox. This clearly isn't a return to that.
Hi Fi Rush is better than anything MS published in their fricking lives before.

I like Hi-Fi Rush but please endeavor not to be this ignorant.
I'm fricking serious. Not even AoE 2 is as GOTY material as HFB outside nostalgia glasses.
Which is sad because that's a pretty low bar.

Well, yeah. MS has bigger ambitions than Transbox's rotting corpse. That's why they announced the mobile store.

steamos will perform much better than windows in the future. who knows, the insufferable linux gays might see an increase in adoption.
>source: dude trust me I totally work there and definitely talked to some execs and they said IT IS LE OVER
Im glad i have the same outlook as the founders.
I’ve been saying it for years, but in a decade (closer to half a decade now I guess) video games will be centered on a PC/Nintendo/Mobile axis.
