how much brown vinegar did you use?
I submerged it in red wine vinegar for about 3 hours. I've seen recipes say it's not necessary to leave it in vinegar that long, but I wanted to play it safe since I'm just getting started with curing, and I'm not using the pink nitrate salt.

Yeah unfortunately. Really depends on how much you take care of your body I guess. We haven't had modern goyslop for long enough for there to have been actual evolution for it, so it'd all be temporary adaptations that you could slowly wane yourself off of if you wanted to. Still, you're right that most couldn't because most people are lard buckets that have been built off of chemicals
