can't wait to mod an 9 year old game everyone stopped playing in 2018.
TW3 has twice the amount of players playing the game right now on Steam compared to Dragon's Dogma 2.
W3 is not a modular playground like a bethesda game. All the changes that would make a difference require branching VO dialogue, cinematics and have to take all the other related events into account. A couple new items, a fricking combat overhaul or something else mechanics related aren't going to make the game better. Unless someone finds a way to include all the characters and events that didn't make it into the game no mod will ever be worth installing.
>AI voices
this will absolutely be a thing. They have enough voice data for even side characters like Vesemir, Eskel, etc.
They won't be on par with actual VO, but it will be a very acceptable alternative.
Does nexus allow those? I know voice actors always throw a shit fit over it. Pretty much the only thing there's any apprehension about reusing, which is such a shame because a game that got a ton if it's content trimmed could theorhetically be fixed very convincingly (most generic dialogues in the game are so stiffly va'd you'd never know the difference)

because they already made the witcher three times, people are growing tired of the "all story no gameplay" games and cyberpunk was heading in right direction
People are still uploading mods onto W3Nexus, if anything, we'll likely see additional content, or at least expanded Vizima given enough time, or someone to flesh out post-game activities and interaction (someone even made hunting the last Witch with Ciri mod, fricking nice)
Maybe someday, a motherfricker will be crazy enough to make a territory war between Northern Kingdoms, Nilfg, and Monsters with Villages and Trade Routes as collateral damage, with dynamic goods price depending on which route is being raided the most, it's just a massive expansion on that Royal Wyvern quest.

This is what happens when the gameplay aspect of your game becomes an afterthought. In this case, I guess it's not that big of a deal, because it's an RPG-lite for the masses and it's obvious they put their attention more towards the side quests and the world in general.
It's also why modern Sony exclusives have never brought any innovation or anything interesting at all when it comes to gameplay, because in virtually all of their exclusives, it's all about cutscenes, cinematics, and graphics. In the majority of Sony exclusives, the gameplay takes such a backseat, that they become "games" that are annoying to actually play. Nu-GOW's camera is a perfect example of this. The game is so worried about being cinematic that the game literally has a fricking arrow pointing towards enemies that are off screen, because of the camera placement. In Nu-GOW, the cinematic aspect is more important than the gameplay.
Compare that to, for example, Dark Souls or the majority of From games, and you quickly come to realize that most of the attention has been shifted towards the gameplay. In these games, things are thought out much better than TW3. Thoughtful level design, enemies that are placed carefully throughout a level, items that are useful, weapons that are better in certain scenarios and much more.

like what? It's a story driven RPG. So CRPG's? Because RTWP or turn based is waaay more interesting than whatever the frick the Witcher has been trying to do for like 3 games. And comparing it to fromsoft games or even fricking Skyrim is a joke. I love the Witcher games btw but the combat is just bad.
Please do not compare Witcher 3 to either >Bloodborne >Bethesda slop >RPG Codex fan-favorites >Fallout New Vegas
CD Projekt have consistently more in line with the "hybrid-RPG" approach seen in games like Mass Effect but more closely Mass Effect 3, and Deus Ex (the original), where you have a protagonist but it's not really your character, but it is a story RPG about making a lot of decisions AS the character you've been decided to play, and CDPR themselves have claimed their inspiration is more Rockstar than it is other studios, saying Witcher 3 was actually built with a lot of Red Dead Redemption design philosophy in mind, and I think we all see that Cyberpunk 2077 shifted from initially being a Shadowrun type thing to being a GTA V clone with flying cars and Hollywood celebs legitimizing it for mainstream gooners.
Please do not compare Witcher 3 to games that it isn't even close to, or even attempting to imitate. It's a Deus Ex lite format strapped into a Rockstar type of open world design, and CDPR as a whole is more EA-era BioWare RPG than it's anything else.
Saying the combat sucks is the most brainlet thing you can do. I love Bloodborne, but I don't open TheWitcher3.exe on my pc expecting the combat to hit the same way, because I'm not fricking stupid.

It's been a while since I've played it so take this with a grain of salt. I remember the game's combat feeling floaty and completely divorced from the "Witcher fantasy." It's fair to say the game isn't trying to be Bloodborne but the issue is that whatever it's trying to do with its combat just doesn't work. Shooting someone in RDR, GTA, or Mass Effect is satisfying. There is weight behind attacks. When you hit something in the Witcher 3 it feels like a limp noodle. And this is despite the animations being lovingly crafted. There is something just rotten at the core of the game that seriously hurts the experience.
It legitimately feels like you are trying to convince me that no, this game that has SO much of its content behind fighting things doesn't need to make it fun or satisfying.

Holy frick, thank you.
It's all the more bafflung how they tried to have their cake and eat it too in cyberpunk. You have a protag on whom you have as much influence as you do on Geralt, you just pick a 'backstory' that changes nothing.
>Witcher 3's animations are reliable, the contextual attacks just choose wrong 100% of the time because they choose according to the current distance between the player and enemy, whereas a player that is used to tight combat is making decisions based on the future distance between the player and enemy. >If a drowner is lunging at geralt, you want to counter hit. Ideally you will press light attack and he will do the quick upward slash, the drowner will jump into it and get staggered, and then you have a chance for big offense. Of course this never happens, because the drowner is currently out of sword range when telegraphing the lunge, so Geralt will instead choose to twirl 100% of the time and completely lose the exchange 100% of the time. Player is punished, not rewarded, for predicting and reacting to the telegraphed attack. >In the same vein, if an enemy is dodging away, you want to do the twirl to chase and punish their backdash. However, since they are currently within sword range, Geralt will do a quick sword attack and miss 100% of the time. Player identified the enemy's next action and the counterplay, but is thwarted by the game from capitalizing on it. >This is what it means that Witcher's combat is low skill. Any rewards for spacing, timing and anticipation are completely removed.
It is made worse that which way Geralt faces on screen also changes the attack animation
Have you gays never looked for any mod that fixes this? There are like at least 1 independent and 2 mega mods that have this
what the frick happened to modding games in your soul?
>Witcher 3's animations are reliable, the contextual attacks just choose wrong 100% of the time because they choose according to the current distance between the player and enemy, whereas a player that is used to tight combat is making decisions based on the future distance between the player and enemy. >If a drowner is lunging at geralt, you want to counter hit. the latter
new content, new quests, new areas, new models, overhauls, etc.
if someone is up for the task, that is.
Maybe at first people will port Witcher 2 directly into Witcher 3
>Never forget what we lost!
So much content can be restored or remade now. I also want to save and frick Síle De Tansarville, and a Contract where you end up fighting Saskia again. Iorveth showing up as part of restoring the Novigrad Rat Plague subplot and linking it to the many disjointed Scoia'tael encampments in the outskirts, and remaking the dropped plot where Geralt rides with the Wild Hunt.
I think they hated that Patrick Mills guy who wrote all of that or something. They cut so much of his stuff, and some of it was because "It doesn't fit with the rest of the game" or something, or the Director (Konrad something) not liking it. And Konrad eventually quit CDPR after Cyberpunk got in trouble because of old grudges with ppl saying he was a bully. Other CDPR members have said that the Iorveth related content (which was part of Ves's earlier parts) was removed because they wouldn't just do a halfway good job, but needed it to be really good or else they wouldn't do it.
It's possible it wasn't enough but I'll always feel short-changed because other than the Kingslayer questline, Roche and Ves feel so unimportant in the game, and the quest about their little encampment is so shallow. It disappoints me every time I replay the game, that there's just nothing to it.
>Kingslayer questline, Roche and Ves feel so unimportant in the game, and the quest about their little encampment is so shallow.
Doesn't need to be deeper than any of that tbh. Temeria has fallen. Millions must die.
W3 is about finding Ciri, that's it.
But then again the Wild Hunt also feels half-assed so idk kek
Would be cool to have some big battle mods around the pontar, something like territory control shit
was playing recently. everything started getting blurry, like I was looking through the heat waves above a fire, and then when I went to a new zone this happened. Does the game have a memory leak or some shit? Never happened in my first 150 hr playthrough
finally. i hope its enough to get similar stuff like elder scrolls. ill even take quest mods. if it gets stuff like thief 1/2 FMs in a few years then it would be a total game changer
Besides, the game is too restricted to be viable for modding. You are a boring fleshed out cringe b***her and you are on your boring shitty preset quest. Immersion doesn't exist. It's basically a sloppy AssCreed/AAA product that gets beat and uninstalled.
They were better off giving us source code for troonypunk and some actual modding tools for it.
>who cares about this nine year old turd that made them the biggest dev in europe, they should pay more attention to the much less successful four year old turd
I'm just hoping someone might go through the W3 source leak and port shit over from it, there were prototype maps for CP2077 and other stuff in there, leakers even mentioned it had E3 stuff too
I hope someone can make a mod that removes all the bloat (repetitive side quests and the hundreds of pointless icons on the map). The quests are still going to revolve around gamer vision so I'm not sure the game can be completely fixed, but hopefully at least someone tries.
>I hope someone can make a mod that removes all the bloat (repetitive side quests and the hundreds of pointless icons on the map)
anon you can just.. ignore them, you know that?
For example, you can completely ignore quests like the self-appointed Knight in front of Baron's Keep, or the pan quest, or the burning hut quest, or Bastien quest, or any contract quest, or haunted well quest, and more. They are all optional.
>non you can just.. ignore them
No, you can't. Some of the ?s are places of power and some of the ?s are useless chests, some ?s are cool little mini-dungeons with nice unique loot. Someone just needs to remove the ?s for garbage like the monster nests and generic loot.
Game is less fun for me tbh
But seriously, can you not ignore them? Are they mandatory?

Some of the sidequests are good, though. I do not want to skip them all there is no way to know which ones are actually good and which ones are there just to pad the game out
It's servicable, but if you compare it to 2's you'd think it's god tier. It's much to easy, CDprojekt doesn't know how to do difficulty beyond having enemies cheaply one shot you.
I played the newest cyberpunk DLC first as a glass cannon hacker (this build got gimped super hard but still) and it was fricking awful. It was a breeze playing as a tanky melee build since I didn't get killed by enemies making eyecontact with me for a nanosecond.
Yes! Cyberpunk has a whole weapon class that has the ability to shoot through walls, there's also hackers who don't care about walls either. Playing cyberpunk as a low health build on a high difficulty is a test in patience.
Doesn't help that the BIG EPIC SETPIECE BASED STORYMODE WITH KEANU REEVES AND IDRIS ELBA doesn't give a frick about your playstyle and will always assume you're some kind of close contact build. Gigs are better than main story missions for this reason.
You're allright.
Cyberpunk is kind of a different beast since it allows for many different playstyles, but some are very obviously superior to others. You can try being a sign-only Geralt, but it'd make you want to have a nice day after 1 minute of waiting for your stamina to regenerate.
the flag fiasco already proved modding is a dangerous tool only a few should be allowed to use, the modding kit should be distributed through discord and only to verified trustworthy members

>CD Projekt have consistently more in line with the "hybrid-RPG" approach
>add e-girls and cute gfs
if everyone did that then there would be no hate anymore
they have consistently made a-rpg hybrid things. cyberpunk is a better game than ever now.
This post wasn't even a value judgement, you moron.
Holy frick, thank you.
It's all the more bafflung how they tried to have their cake and eat it too in cyberpunk. You have a protag on whom you have as much influence as you do on Geralt, you just pick a 'backstory' that changes nothing.
The combat is fricked by the auto targeting, and the serious lack of manual attack controls (too much context sensitive attack animations)
It is made worse that which way Geralt faces on screen also changes the attack animation
Have you gays never looked for any mod that fixes this? There are like at least 1 independent and 2 mega mods that have this
what the frick happened to modding games in your soul?
No mod fixes the combat. Just makes it even more clunky.
The only people who says the combat is fine are the ones who didn't play on the highest difficulty, where you are forced to spam shield
>Overleveled
Turn on upscaling
there are already some overhaul mods, I've seen stuff that remove targeting and make moveset consistent which are two good fixes
I finished my 2nd replay a few months and even i think this shit is way too late.
also i really dont need any mods beside some qol stuff
too late
it is never too late, it is dependent on you being lazy or not.
Even the source code leaked already and no one gave a frick. No one is gonna bother making mods more complex than the stuff we already have.
I'll give it a chance. you're sound so pessimistic. at least this one is not illegal
Is it just creating missions and swapping skins or are we getting "The Witcher SexLab"?
the latter
new content, new quests, new areas, new models, overhauls, etc.
if someone is up for the task, that is.
Maybe at first people will port Witcher 2 directly into Witcher 3
Garbage series
>verification not required
>LETS FRICKING GOOOOOO
shut the frick up reddit zoomer.
kino!
I'm no expert but the tools look relatively intuitive to use which is promising.
First person + playable combat when?
What are the implications for porn mods?
Oh wow a nothingburger.
>Never forget what we lost!
So much content can be restored or remade now. I also want to save and frick Síle De Tansarville, and a Contract where you end up fighting Saskia again. Iorveth showing up as part of restoring the Novigrad Rat Plague subplot and linking it to the many disjointed Scoia'tael encampments in the outskirts, and remaking the dropped plot where Geralt rides with the Wild Hunt.
they could've simply restored/finished it after the game dropped since it was selling like hot cakes and the expansions did extremely well
I think they hated that Patrick Mills guy who wrote all of that or something.
This is with RT on, right? Update your Windows.
No I had already turned off RT. Maybe its still related to it though, some bug, just being in the shader code
>dude I'm going to play so many the witcher 3 mods in heckin' 2024
t. nobody ever
finally. i hope its enough to get similar stuff like elder scrolls. ill even take quest mods. if it gets stuff like thief 1/2 FMs in a few years then it would be a total game changer
that's a nice pic
dude I'm going to play so many the witcher 3 mods in 2024
Imagine if something like Oblivion didn't get mods until 2015. What's the fricking point of this?
>mfw people are actually talking about video games
>decade old crusty turd
lol who cares?
Besides, the game is too restricted to be viable for modding. You are a boring fleshed out cringe b***her and you are on your boring shitty preset quest. Immersion doesn't exist. It's basically a sloppy AssCreed/AAA product that gets beat and uninstalled.
They were better off giving us source code for troonypunk and some actual modding tools for it.
me when the militech milf calls me from the no tell motel again
eww
not liking domme gillian anderson, what are you gay?
not a hagfricker simp, no
>who cares about this nine year old turd that made them the biggest dev in europe, they should pay more attention to the much less successful four year old turd
why are you so moronic?
Why the hell did it take so long
coomer mods?
What are some combat mods compatible with the newest version?
On demand long attack
Attack bending
Enhanced Targeting
Many more, but these should act as the base for others
literally who
I'm just hoping someone might go through the W3 source leak and port shit over from it, there were prototype maps for CP2077 and other stuff in there, leakers even mentioned it had E3 stuff too
I hope someone can make a mod that removes all the bloat (repetitive side quests and the hundreds of pointless icons on the map).
Can't you just Shift on Roach to your next important destination and ignore those?
what if they just stop padding 40 hour games with 80 extra hours of garbage for no reason
Game is less fun for me tbh
But seriously, can you not ignore them? Are they mandatory?
Some of the sidequests are good, though. I do not want to skip them all there is no way to know which ones are actually good and which ones are there just to pad the game out
>all those shills defending TW3 dogshit combat
Even TW3 fans admit TW3 combat is bad, you must be utterly moronic to think otherwise.
It was a breeze playing as a tanky melee build since I didn't get killed by enemies making eyecontact with me for a nanosecond.
>difficulty beyond having enemies cheaply one shot you.
Are they cheap because they are completely avoidable and predictable yet you still get hit?
Oh I haven't played CP77 so I wouldn't know. I thought you were talking about W3, sorry for the confusion, anon.
Why would I want to play more of that garbage
Can they give 3-some ending instead of choose one ending
Polygamy is cringe
Also a must have mod:
you are cringe fundamentalist cuckozoid
