It’s literally known everywhere from Ganker to reddit to twitter
Just get a job and save some money to the point that not being able to refund a game isn't a major financial loss? I've been a neet all my life and even I managed to get a decent job recently.

People who can’t pirate because low iq do this so they’ll resort to pirating. It’s a 0 loss anyway

XCOM Enemy Within's digital version on PS3 had a game breaking, impassable bug about 10 hours in, something about it freaking out over some particular save data.
the sony rep i requested a refund from was a brick wall, said I had already done my "one refund" back when I had another nonfunctional digital game. I asked if I should be pirating to make sure these games function before buying them and he threatened to report me to the authorities for it.
It's not about getting your money back, it's about punishing shit devs for making shit products. Refunds should be allowed for any product for any reason for like 3 years, and if the company just has to throw it out then too damn bad. And that 3 year timer refreshes when they make a major change like GAAS shit love to do.
>Refunds should be allowed for any product for any reason for like 3 years
Yes anon, Steam is definitely going to let you buy a game, play it for 3 years and then refund because "lmao cause i wanna". Are you moronic?
it's not, YOU FRICKING IMBECILE

>before you could take a chance with an EA game, now it's not worth buying till release
This isn't for EA games. This is for games that do the whole "Pre-Order to play 3 days early!" thing.
Reminder for my fellow EUanons. You have the right to refund any game for up-to two years after purchase if it turns out to be faulty, not as advertised (i.e. retroactively added denuvo or some other shit) or not working as expected.
we don't have flash sales anymore because people grew to expect them and would just wait instead of ever buying at a higher price which became unsustainable for publishers
They have the best refund policy for games. Try buying something at gamestop, opening it up and playing it for an hour, then going back the next day for a full refund.
mating press
how will poorgays ever recover

let me guess: you're one of the idiots that thought it was a flat 2 hours no matter the circumstances.
How many games on steam even had pre-release access for pre-ordering
it's too late
people already bought shartfield, dumped 70 hours into it and then got a full refund for that israeli move
Not my problem, I only buy finished games, meaning I barely buy anything nowdays.

You can have a job and still get mad at wasting 70 bucks on a shit game you thought would be good, that's why refunds EXIST
If you buy a game and you don't like it you refund it quick, not after 13 hours.
>Buy game
>Beat it in one hour
>Was shit, didn't like
>Refund

tl;dr: shut the frick up moron
publishers that attempt to go for early access if you pay a premium when the base game is already $70 deserve to go robbed
t. publisher

Anon. A refund is all about the message, not the money.
How about don't make shitty fricking games
Shalom
No I will rather pirate your gales thank you
>lending 100 dollars to playtest a shitty game for a week
Wow I'm so sad I missed out.
I have never refunded a game
That is fricking moronic. Darktide did a launch day patch that bricked the game for me. I proceeded to refund it of course.
>titles purchased prior to release date
Well, how about people stop being moronic and preordering games?
It for early access, moron.

Refunds should be 10% of the game length.
Who decides what the game length is?
Howlongtobeat
>speedrunner website
>make a 1 minute game
>people exceed the refund window before they get out of the main menu
I'm gonna be rich
This is a bad idea, before you could take a chance with an EA game, now it's not worth buying till release
>now it's not worth buying till release
So nothing changed?

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EARLY ACCESS GAMES
THIS IS LITERALLY FOR FULL RELEASE TITLES

Good, get fricked refundhomosexuals. It's because of you that we don't have flash sales during major sales anymore.
Make good games and maybe people won't refund anymore.

it has literally nothing to do with refunds
PoorBlack folk can cope. Stop buying early access.

I'll buy that used game back from you for 73 cents
