With enough time and money, they could probably get DX12 going on XP. That's not the point.
Tell me why Microshaft should port DX12 to 7. Why should they continue to maintain 7 when they have 11 now. Seems like a waste of resources for an OS with such a small user base. Microshaft is in the business of making money

What's stopping car companies from building the same car forever? Competition and money. The only reason a motorcycle like the XR650L has been built the same way for more than 20 years is competition.

No it doesn't, if Ford went to parliment and demanded their old cars be banned they would be laughed out of the room. Legislators have power that corporations do not and should not.

Why would ford do that though? Ford wants to build a better and faster car because the road quality is getting better and their customers demand it. There are some customers that can't afford to update and some that are stuck in their ways, but the vast majority (more than 90%) want newer cars and don't care about the old ones. Maybe they'd like to see one in a museum, but they'd laugh about how bad cars used to be

If they could do it, and not have their name associated with it, they almost certainly would, forcing people to switch cars more often than they do will always drive up profits. Microsoft can, so they do. They also clearly aren't capable of consistently improving their products.

What happens is that you can set it up so DX11 can run DX12 games through a compatibility layer.

You can read the linked documentation and see that it's native DX12, though it is missing some features. It isn't converted to DX11 or any other API, that's moronic and you're moronic for imagining it.
Since you can't think and your world revolves around m-m-muh Elden Ring, I'll also let you know that DX12 was not the primary issue keeping that from working on 7; it tried to use other APIs that weren't in 7 and required hacking the game to replace, while its lack of DX12 Windows 7 support was simply worked around by using VKD3D.

Anonymous
>missing features

The point is that slightly gimping your D3D12 renderer for Windows 7 is drastically less work than making a completely new one with another API. It was barely relevant as there was very little overlap between 7 being supported and D3D12 reaching mainstream use, but it was useful in theory.

Good luck. >frick this broke >frick this other thing broke >frick this software doesn't work
Not doing that, ever.
Linux is amateur hour.
>it's just normal frickin obsolescence
Except it's not. Normal obsolescence is something naturally becoming obsolete. W7 is only becoming obsolete because microshit pays people to force w10+.
Most games that require W10+ are playable on W7. Sometimes with something as simple as deleting one file noone will ever even use. dbghelp.dll is an infamous one. Deleting that one file makes Victoria 3, a game that came out in late 2022 that requires W10+, perfectly playable on W7. Not that it's worth playing though. But if you look through other games that require W10+ and see dbghelp.dll, odds are very high that if you delete that single irrelevant file it's suddenly playable on W7. Some other games only require adding older DX versions to the folder and the game will recognize and use them making it playable on W7.
Devs are actively preventing the games from working on W7 when it doesn't even require more effort for them to allow it to run. Many other software is like that too.
Microshit is actively trying to kill off W7 because they want people to be on the versions where they've taken away user control and added a frick ton of telemetry to gather and sell your data. They benefit immensely from you "upgrading" to W10+ so they are trying to force it as hard as they can.
That's far from the truth, Linux only lost user share since W11 and it always hovered below 2%.
Linux also has updates by the way, and the popular distros like Ubuntu have a shorter LTS lifespan than Windows releases, your kind is not catered to no matter the ecosystem because developers absolutely hate dealing with third worlders that don't understand how outdated the shit they use is.
>miles

Yeah, I'm sure all the people not participating in the hardware survey really make the difference.
I switched platforms upon realizing that I don't truly own any of the games I buy on Steam.
I don't really do multiplayer shit anyways so the only benefit of Steam nowadays is the achievement system, which isn't actually any real benefit.
anon, you don't truly own any of the games you buy no matter the platform. buying a physical copy only gives you a license to use the product, not ownership of it.
Gog gives you offline installers so while you could still argue you don't own anything it's about as close as you're realistically going to get without installing from a disc like a console.
anon, you don't truly own any of the games you buy no matter the platform. buying a physical copy only gives you a license to use the product, not ownership of it.
GOG exists and there are some DRM-free games on Steam, sometimes even literal copies of the GOG releases.
new PCs have 11 installed. Companies for the most part forcefully upgrade to 11. Then you have tech illiterates who click on the shiny button on the upgrade prompt upon startup and then get mad when everything's "switched up". The people who knowingly upgrade are unimportant
Windows 7 is almost retro. People are going to start building period correct Windows 7 machines to play 15 year old games on authentic late 2000s early 2010s hardware soon. Experiencing brown and bloom the way it was meant to be played on 21 inch high latency 720p LCDs with shitty Razer headphones and green LED keyboards and mice.
A subset of people will make Vista machines and pretend Vista is good because it runs well on the best possible hardware that it could run on with all the updates it didn't have at the start.
This is just extrapolating from people building period correct Windows 95-98 machines in the late 2010s and the people building period correct XP machines now. 15-20 years is all it takes.
CRTs at least have visual advantages that go beyond period accuracy or nostalgia. I don't think autism is prevalent enough for more than an extremely tiny niche to care about using dated LCDs.

that's the exact reason they aren't supporting windows 7 dumb fricktard, because the morons like you never do the survey. >Oh the userbase for this platform has dropped below 0.2%, guess we can stop hiring engineers to maintain the obsolete platform nobody uses
I understand that W11 comes pre-installed on laptops and all but how anyone in their mind can use this piece of shit of an OS that looks and feels ten times worse than Windows 10 which at least could be fixed if you get LTSC version and get rid of useless shit? The only regret I have about W10 is that the best edition made by some ruski is outdated because he left the repack scene due to lack of appreciation of his work or something, he did the best W10 repacks with an ability to setup most of the things on your own, you can even enable all the telemetry back if you're moronic, not even W7 was as good as a result, my PC works flawlessly with no slowdowns or anything like that for years to this day and the only game I couldn't run on it was Spider-Man.

>used wine back in the days to run my gold games - just to see if it works >now over 10 years later openSUSE is still a thing just like before - i can still play all the old games - now even easier than before due to wine being better and things like Lutris or Steam/Proton existing >Windows meanwhile is absolute dogshit when it comes to legacy media >constantly needed to switch locals through addons and system settings in order to play japanese games - only Linux that bullshit just doesn't exist >old games barely work on Windows 10 or above and you constantly have to check the pcgamingwiki to see which registry needs to get edited or which old drivers have to get installed while Lutris on Linux just does this thing for you >sometimes not even that works and you are forced to run old Windows software in a VM - Which again: Is not required on Linux at all
MS just wants you to buy and play the latest and newest stuff. As long as you are limiting yourself to that its perfectly fine. Otherwise you have to hope that GOG picks your game up and patches it i guess. Some games like Gothic on Steam run better through proton than they do on Windows.
you guys realize your steam will just get set to offline mode if you refuse to update, right? you won't lose access to your shit, you just won't be able to make use of the online services.
Yes, as long as the browsers support your OS and the store accepts it. There's also a small can of worms in regards to web encryption standards that unmaintained OS simply won't get.

Valve has a business interest in supporting Linux to avoid getting fricked over by Microsoft via Windows Store gatekeeping. Windows 7 can't help Valve with that.
>avoid getting fricked over by Microsoft >but locks people out of older Windows versions + software, which means they do exactly what Microsoft wants
so which one is it?
I assume that Valve basically doesn't care about what Microsoft wants, except if what Microsoft wants would affect them. So Microsoft's push for newer versions, they don't care about in itself because that doesn't inherently affect them. But Microsoft angling for control over desktop apps was/is a big concern for Valve, so they propped up an alternative to avoid getting raped.

Yeah, it's a general rule of thumb. It not about valve. This is about you and your life choices. >My web browser will keep on working
Yeah I would hope you weren't using a chromium based browser after all that unhinged shit you said about it. >The "steam app", you fricking moron, has that shit built in, so it's part of the "app"
Thanks for repeating what I'd already said, but in different words. Quality post. >You do not even understand that you can call the operating system and say "please open this URL in the *system*'s web browser" and it will open it in whatever browser is installed.
Only coherent, solid point you've made this entire time.

Me: no, you fricking incompetent daft moron. The web browser is PART of the *app*. It doesn't "use" a web browser, the web browser is part of Steam, as you zoomer calls it "the app", which is moronic.
No one else does it this way, because it's just stupid.

>arguing
you mean spouting nonsense and lying >do a hardware survey >Valve won't do anything >this is a life choice!!! >it's your fault that you don't do hardware surveys
Valve can't drop literally everything they have going right now and migrate their entire client to an entirely foreign backend.
Hell they barely managed to luck out in the first place since most of the fricking LEGACY IE stuff was forwards compatible.
>they can create "SteamOS" and work on Windows games sort of working on mentally ill OS >but they can't make a light weight DRM client, which would primarily be strip shit out of their DRM client
???
>so which one is it?
The one that doesn't lose chromium support next year. >And why would Valve be so moronic and think their optional ahrdware survey would show the full install base
Why would you be so moronic as to think you're still owed hardware support even though you won't complete a harmless survey? >like shills do?
Yeah, I'm a shill because you have to reap the consequences of not completing the survey.
Mental illness.
>owed hardware support
lmao
now you pretend they would do something
Valve doesn't give a frick, you stupid cattle
they could have chosen to not have a fricking web browser inside their shitty DRM client, but they don't give a shitter. >Yeah, I'm a shill because
you pretend that the people doing the hardware survey would be "the install base", which is a lie.
>now you pretend they would do something
ESL? If not, try reading again. I never said valve would do anything, the lazy bums. All I implied was that it's simple matter of fact that if you want hardware support you should engage in hardware surveys. That's what they're for. >they could have chosen to not have a fricking web browser inside their shitty DRM client, but they don't give a shitter.
Of course, they're a fricking business, they want you to buy shit on their storefront. Why on earth would they give you an option to never interface with their storefront ever again? No one with half a brain stem would waste company resources on that. >you pretend that the people doing the hardware survey would be "the install base"
You're the only one who's saying that.
>I never said valve would do anything >if you want hardware support
So you are indeed moronic. >Why on earth would they give you an option to never interface with their storefront ever again?
You make zero sense.
First of all, web browsers still work on 7.
But let's pretend they don't.
*I* could still buy at work, or via tablet or whatever and download old game at home.
But they don't want that. They are anti-customer, as always.
That's also what I would like for Nintendo's eShop, or Snoy's store or Microsoft's store.
They could do exactly that, but they also don't.
Microsoft even removes games all the time.
Nintendo just changes it to download only, which makes even less sense, because now it's really download only. They don't sell a single game, despite that being possible.
Are you new to computers or the internet as a concept?
>you're the only one who's saying that

obviously theyd cater to the install base that has operating systems with actual support
cater to the 0.9% Linux install base
yeah, and the number of linux users is growing pretty damn steadily
>operating systems with actual support
you understand how short your latest Shitix distro support is? >and the number of linux users is growing pretty damn steadily
lmao, yeah since 20 years now.
Year of the Linux distro desktop any year now
lmao
did window 7 users really think this wasn't going to happen eventually, its like a console user being shocked services for said console are being dropped despite it being several gens behind
Speaking of W7 do the newer 12-14 core processors work on it? I only need 4 cores to work on W7 so I can dual boot to play older games at 144fps.
I remember seeing videos of people showing that even the 8 core's still worked on XP.
yes 7 will work with up to 64 cores, it doesn't know the difference between p and e cores, but puts them to use regardless. however, new isn't always better. the input output hub in the CPU has been moved off the high quality silicon post 11th gen. so those CPUs are actually feel slower.

They frick you over and over, and you are acting like a fricking slave.
How does GOG support older OS, but Valve can't?
It's a miracle.
They also don't "support" anything. The installers they ship are "modified" InnoSetup. They're at the whims of some other company! IS does not list support for anything prior to Vista.

Of course they do.
I can download their installer and it works.

hahahaha
Our first notable interaction with open source software was when a number of IBM engineers began contributing to Linux (yes, the Linux on which Red Hat Enterprise Linux is built). In the late 1990s, IBM supported Linux with patent pledges, a $1 billion investment of technical and other resources, and helped to establish the Linux Foundation in 2000.
In 1999, we helped to create the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), contributing thousands of line of code and dedicated resources to support the Apache Web Server projects

>Zoomer finally learns that things get old
Tale as old as time. I remember how many people refused to let go of XP
Oh wow, you actually think data works like the human body and needs to be replaced
Go on, prove that DX12 can't work on windows 7, I'll wait
With enough time and money, they could probably get DX12 going on XP. That's not the point.
Tell me why Microshaft should port DX12 to 7. Why should they continue to maintain 7 when they have 11 now. Seems like a waste of resources for an OS with such a small user base. Microshaft is in the business of making money
Wrong answer, they already did port DX12 to 7
>Why should they continue to maintain 7 when they have 11 now.
>Microshaft is in the business of making money
Thank you for admitting that you actually do support manipulative business practices and that this is the basis for your argument
I don't use windows, I'm just thinking from their perspective, something that autistic people struggle with.
What's stopping car companies from building the same car forever? Competition and money. The only reason a motorcycle like the XR650L has been built the same way for more than 20 years is competition.
The difference is that when they make new cars they don't intentionally start reworking all the roads to not let your car drive on them
Terrible example as older cars still have to comply with modern regulations to be road legal
Regulations are not updated to make cars from the last decade illegal, and those that are can simply be modified to keep up without needing to buy a new car
>and those that are can simply be modified to keep up without needing to buy a new car
Like updating your OS on a PC?
No, very much not like that.
Regulations aren't made by the car manufacturers
Not in countries with a modicum of freedom, Yurogay.
That's false equivalence, but also England bans old cars from the cities because of emissions
And that is moronic
I didn't say it wasn't, but it makes your analogy fall apart
The analogy exists to show that the idea is moronic
Now read the second line you fricking illiterate gorilla Black person
No, that roads are more analogous to the internet. Steam not supporting windows 7 is more like ford not making new parts compatible with old cars
Except with steam, even the old parts that previously worked on the old cars will suddenly not work with the old cars
Steam is a continuously changing part. Ford stops supplying the old part because they can't process the warranty claims.
If the analogy is moronic then the idea it was trying to present is also moronic.
>Steam is a continuously changing part
The games aren't
>use ipod nano
>Ipod touch comes out
>then the Iphone

>Wrong answer, they already did port DX12 to 7
Since when?
Back when ER came out, they hadn't done it.
Since like 2019
The thing is that devs actually have to choose to allow it, and that's mildly inconvenient so they just don't care
>since like 2019
ER came out in 2022 so you're lying, or you're twisting the truth.
It was done in 2019 when Elden Ring was still cum in GRRM's balls, Elden Ring just doesn't include the extra libraries needed for it to work natively on 7.
World of Warcraft and Halo MCC do...or did? I don't know if their current versions still run on 7 given they're games-as-a-service slop.
>still lying
I actually searched it up
What happens is that you can set it up so DX11 can run DX12 games through a compatibility layer.
Except it's literally just a band aid fix. It doesn't actually allow for proper DX12 support. You can't install DX12 on Win7, so stop lying out your ass to support a dead fricking OS.
https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/porting-directx-12-games-to-windows-7/
Please cease and desist posting on this website until you're at least 18 years old per the rules. I've contacted your special ed teacher, who has agreed to block Ganker on your elementary school's network, and to withhold your daily juice boxes until your behavior improves.
>To better support game developers at larger scales, we are publishing the following resources to allow game developers to run their DirectX 12 games on Windows 7
Again, that's not the same has having DX12 on Win7.
Install DX12 on your Win7 machine now. Post pics of it. Otherwise, you're full of shit and all you have is a compatibility patch to allow DX11 to run DX12 games on some level because homosexuals like you refused to update. Except eventually you became such a minority devs no longer need to give a single fricking shit about you.
Again, your OS is dead. Just fricking cope.
You can read the linked documentation and see that it's native DX12, though it is missing some features. It isn't converted to DX11 or any other API, that's moronic and you're moronic for imagining it.
Since you can't think and your world revolves around m-m-muh Elden Ring, I'll also let you know that DX12 was not the primary issue keeping that from working on 7; it tried to use other APIs that weren't in 7 and required hacking the game to replace, while its lack of DX12 Windows 7 support was simply worked around by using VKD3D.
>missing features
What's the point then?
The point is that slightly gimping your D3D12 renderer for Windows 7 is drastically less work than making a completely new one with another API. It was barely relevant as there was very little overlap between 7 being supported and D3D12 reaching mainstream use, but it was useful in theory.
>missing features
And there we have it. I accept your concession
Again, install DX12 on your Win7 right now and post pics, or you're absolutely 100% full of fricking shit.
>DX12
No one needs cinematic goyslop games
Valve blames Google for not supporting it.

No it isn't. My windows 95 box could never have even hoped to have run windows 7.
So be happy your garbage 7 system can run 11 fine
because its planned obsolescence.
How is it obsolescence if your PC isn't obsolete?
I don't believe the premise that you are this dumb, try again.
Glad to see we're on the same page
I don't think we are, you are conflating obsolescence and planned obsolescence because you are a shill and a liar.
How many years should Valve continue to pay engineers to support ancient operating systems? Indefinitely? Just keep cobbling together jury-rigged bullshit into eternity?
How about just let them use the current version?
Companies are literally stealing games that have not updated since 2009
Linux came out in the 90's and it still works...
linux has trouble running software from last year, never mind last decade
So why can't MS do the same and make software work if a poor OS like Linux can do it?
either you've never used linux or have no idea how to use linux
it's Ganker so it's safe to assume both and then some
try to install Steam on your Linux released in 1995, lmao
Or I could just update Linux and install Steam... a billion dollar company like MS for some reason doesn't release updates for their OS while a free OS like Linux does.
>update
Go on, try to do that with your 1995 installation.
Good luck.
>frick this broke
>frick this other thing broke
>frick this software doesn't work
Not doing that, ever.
Most Windows 7 users are switching to Linux rather than moving the the absolutely unacceptable mess that is Windows 10, or, god forbid, 11.
>Most Windows 7 users are switching to Linux
You would rather use windows?
I did that years ago when I rebooted my machine and it suddenly turned into win10 without asking me. Never going back either, frick them
That's far from the truth, Linux only lost user share since W11 and it always hovered below 2%.
Linux also has updates by the way, and the popular distros like Ubuntu have a shorter LTS lifespan than Windows releases, your kind is not catered to no matter the ecosystem because developers absolutely hate dealing with third worlders that don't understand how outdated the shit they use is.
Just like how XP users were gonna switch to Linux anon. Pajeet Nadella always wins.
Troonix gays are so delusional holy shit, nobody is gonna use your shitty OS just get over it, it's been 25 years already grandpa.

>miles
Eh, that's a bit of an overstatement. The only QoL update it brought was windowscrolling using mouseover instead of focus. Everything else is side- or downgrades.
Are you kidding? The moment you install the OS you're bombarded with constant ads and notifications for cloud integration. Not to mention the forced updates.
You can turn updates off in Pro, Enterprise and LTSC.

you should just switch to linux now theres no reason not to
I'm making a game in GameMaker Studio 1.4, which doesn't work on Wine and supposedly has issues on W11
ngl theres probably a way to get around that but i get it
There's no reason that windows 7 can't still be used passed not wanting to use an old OS. It's 64 bit, it has every modern software standard that are needed for everything today. Not supporting windows 7 is a deliberate choice, it isn't because of "limitations if Windows 7"
>There's no reason that windows 7 can't still be used
What the frick are you talking about? You're using a proprietary, commercial product you daft c**t, do you know what that entails? Go complaint to MS about how its still "technically usable". What has this to do with anything?
'scuse me but why do they need to update the launcher? this is like windows updates
They put themselves (and your games) at google's mercy.
Valve's launcher is actually a web browser in disguise, because they are too moronic to use the system's web browser, like literally all other software.
>the system's web browser, like literally all other software.
You mean the thing that's DEFINITELY not getting routine updates on 7?
So?
That's the user's problem. Not Valve's problem.
Right now Valve's web browser is over a YEAR OLD. Imagine that.
You didn't know that, don't cha.
The user's problem becomes Valve's problem.
>Right now Valve's web browser is over a YEAR OLD. Imagine that.

I did. And guess what's happening in January?
So like Valve is literally doing.

But Steam is still working on Windows 7.
Hmmmm, what does it mean?
It means 7 gets the rope as announced come January.
Steam gets the rope.

I'm running 7 and my web browser is actually UP-TO-DATE.
Last update was a week ago or so.
COPE, you incompetent moron.
Which FOTM browser is it this time?
figure it out yourself, incompetent pseudo-techie
It also lacks telemetry btw.
another moron who doesn't understand how these stats are created
>more people
FALSE
>figure it out yourself
Given that you seem to not know either I'd have to guess some, again FOTM, Chrome or Firefox fork. There's not much else.
Unfortunately I don't keep up with literal-who maintained literal-who browsers so that's the best guess I can muster.
>FOTM
I have no idea what that even is.
An example of FOTM would be Windows 7.
what
Yeah, I'm sure all the people not participating in the hardware survey really make the difference.
that's not at all what's happening
I switched platforms upon realizing that I don't truly own any of the games I buy on Steam.
I don't really do multiplayer shit anyways so the only benefit of Steam nowadays is the achievement system, which isn't actually any real benefit.
it's weird how many people on Ganker use steam despite not having any friends, there is nothing for them on steam lol
anon, you don't truly own any of the games you buy no matter the platform. buying a physical copy only gives you a license to use the product, not ownership of it.
Gog gives you offline installers so while you could still argue you don't own anything it's about as close as you're realistically going to get without installing from a disc like a console.
GOG exists and there are some DRM-free games on Steam, sometimes even literal copies of the GOG releases.
>The majority of your friends
i don't know anyone that uses windows 7 anymore
I'm not even worried about Win7 losing support
I'm worried about the fact there's almost 40% Win11 users already.
new PCs have 11 installed. Companies for the most part forcefully upgrade to 11. Then you have tech illiterates who click on the shiny button on the upgrade prompt upon startup and then get mad when everything's "switched up". The people who knowingly upgrade are unimportant
Isn't fair 7bros!
A russian stole my account so i pirated most of the games i had
Windows 7 is almost retro. People are going to start building period correct Windows 7 machines to play 15 year old games on authentic late 2000s early 2010s hardware soon. Experiencing brown and bloom the way it was meant to be played on 21 inch high latency 720p LCDs with shitty Razer headphones and green LED keyboards and mice.
A subset of people will make Vista machines and pretend Vista is good because it runs well on the best possible hardware that it could run on with all the updates it didn't have at the start.
This is like the inverse of those people who project their modern morality onto historical figures
This is just extrapolating from people building period correct Windows 95-98 machines in the late 2010s and the people building period correct XP machines now. 15-20 years is all it takes.
The difference in tech is less distinct now, monitors are a great example
I'm unironically thinking of doing this with an AMD FX and GTX670.
CRTs at least have visual advantages that go beyond period accuracy or nostalgia. I don't think autism is prevalent enough for more than an extremely tiny niche to care about using dated LCDs.
aaaAAAHHH
don't remind me
i am still not ready to let go
Time to let go of Steam
when Win10 becomes so deprecated and has such little support it's functionally impossible to use (in like 2035) I'll just go to fricking linux
Actually no they won't.
More people run steam on Linux than windows 7
>majority
Why are W7 cultists so delusional?
International criminal law should declare this a genocide. All the criteria apply.
>all the morons that took the survey are on 10 and 11
Colour me shocked.
>survey
More like they checked which computers connected to the internet are running what.
What, do you think Microsoft only started spying on you from Windows 10 onwards?
Your CPU is backdoored by the feds, and your OS is feeding info to the the feds.
Telling you right now, four gens into the new Chinese CPU to give them time to iron out any Spontaneous Liveleak Events inherent in all Chinese goods, and I'll be switching to that. It's definitely backed by the CCP, but they're more concerned that I say the pledge of aXigance every morning rather than whether or not I thought negative about America's Gods and its Greatest Allies.
Maybe if you had taken the survey, valve could've seen that there were actually more W7 users and not pulled support for it.
Sucks for you, I guess.
that's the exact reason they aren't supporting windows 7 dumb fricktard, because the morons like you never do the survey.
The only regret I have about W10 is that the best edition made by some ruski is outdated because he left the repack scene due to lack of appreciation of his work or something, he did the best W10 repacks with an ability to setup most of the things on your own, you can even enable all the telemetry back if you're moronic, not even W7 was as good as a result, my PC works flawlessly with no slowdowns or anything like that for years to this day and the only game I couldn't run on it was Spider-Man.
too attached to the past ig
Buy Windows 10/11 for your friends, then, if you're so worried.
Imagine not being part of the 1%.
whatever it takes
Linux chads stay winning
Win7 trannies that haven't moved on to Linux should just kill themselves.
surely valve will keep their promise to let you keep your games if steam ever stops working, right?
There's no such promise but it's trivial to bypass steam's dll anyway
Windows 10 is my last OS. After that, I'm jumping ship over to Linux.
Ubuntu and SteamOS look like serviceable options
>SteamOS
meme os
I haven't used Steam since they kicked off XP users
no way are you still on xp
based
frick Steam
frick Linux
frick trannies and jannies
i can smell you from here
I can smell trannies from here.
They smell like shit.
>entirely foreign backend
What?
Are you dumb?
Their store already works in web browsers.
Drop the shitty web browser inside their shitty client.
Call the system's web browser.
They you go.
It would make it way easier to maintain and it would be light weight and wouldn't be bloated and slow.
are you moronic? w7 chromium support is being dropped
>muh every browser is Google
Lie and false, moron.
steam runs on chromiumw
yeah, I don't care.
No one forces Valve to do that.
It was their choice and they are to blame.
They had the same shit with Windows XP and didn't do anything, despite having the time and money for it.
They simply do not give a frick, and they are untrustworthy.
They will change to a streaming model when they want to, and there is nothing you will be able to do about it.
>frick trannies and jannies
no need to be redundant
You upgraded from 2000. You don't matter.
*downgraded
Rise up 3.11 bros!
>3.11
>telnet
yup, its MUD'n time
I got suspended because I used telnet on the school computers to play a MUD and someone fondled my character randomly as I was passing through an area and the screen capture software they had picked it up.
They thought I was in some dark web chat room being groomed.
>wtf Steam is fricking us over
>i guess i'll install Linux so i can keep using steam
Cattle.
What's wrong with 10? I've literally never had a problem
Is it just schizos being obstinate as per?
Tech illiterate zoomers consider it an unsurmountable ordeal to install an OS, just note how literally no one of them ever talk about actually using an alternative and instead they only speak in hypotheticals.
I mean even a moron could do it if you just do a clean reset of your PC, you'll only change OS once every 10 years if that so it's no big deal
moron here, I don't want to do it because I don't have the extra drives to back up all my shit, and also I'm not sure how well my R9 290 would hold up, so I'm waiting to switch to 10 until I get a new PC because all that's a pain in the ass
>your OS still works just fine?
>your old computer still plays all your games?
WELL TOUGH SHIT
less people use windows 7 than OSX
Shame that.
I changed from windows to linux when w11 dropped because it was so dogshit and I knew they would force it on you sooner or later.
Good thing I buy games from a place that hands me the games' installer to store on my hard drive for eternity, no strings attached.
>Pretty much every game that says it's win 10/11 only works on win 7 out of the box except for niche cases or AAA slop
>If it weren't for google somehow being in charge of maintaining the fricking steam launcher you'd be able to use win 7 forever
Why did it have to be like this bros
Despite Gabe's alleged opinion that piracy is something solved through offering quality service, he twists the knife in the consumers' back whenever it's convenient for him
>1% of users
>relevant
They are pushing out a Linux machine in their store.
>1 percent Linux
You say that like manifest v3 isn't going to IMMEDIATELY explode back on google and kill their current domination via forks
Thank goodness I’m running xubuntu
Steam OS is free. They could dual boot to it.
Windows != PC
Your PC can still play your games but you might have to *gasp* update the software.
Sorry, play was the wrong word. Access your games.
Ameliorated has been serviceable for me at least
Switching to Linux years ago made me realize how trash of a company Microsoft is
>used wine back in the days to run my gold games - just to see if it works
>now over 10 years later openSUSE is still a thing just like before - i can still play all the old games - now even easier than before due to wine being better and things like Lutris or Steam/Proton existing
>Windows meanwhile is absolute dogshit when it comes to legacy media
>constantly needed to switch locals through addons and system settings in order to play japanese games - only Linux that bullshit just doesn't exist
>old games barely work on Windows 10 or above and you constantly have to check the pcgamingwiki to see which registry needs to get edited or which old drivers have to get installed while Lutris on Linux just does this thing for you
>sometimes not even that works and you are forced to run old Windows software in a VM - Which again: Is not required on Linux at all
MS just wants you to buy and play the latest and newest stuff. As long as you are limiting yourself to that its perfectly fine. Otherwise you have to hope that GOG picks your game up and patches it i guess. Some games like Gothic on Steam run better through proton than they do on Windows.
It isn't just that
Just even shit like basic driver support.
Imagine being less relevant than Linux.
Apple is sweating
you guys realize your steam will just get set to offline mode if you refuse to update, right? you won't lose access to your shit, you just won't be able to make use of the online services.
online services such as logging in, buying, and downloading games?
Can you buy games through the browser version of steam?
Yes, as long as the browsers support your OS and the store accepts it. There's also a small can of worms in regards to web encryption standards that unmaintained OS simply won't get.
So why are people mad at valve for not supporting something Microsoft don't?
Black person if you are going to use shit like Q7 better to just use Linux because no program works on your machine anymore
The hardware and software not being tied together is the biggest advantage PCs have.
>Why doesn't Valve let their moronic users shoot themselves in the foot so they can complain later?
How is being able to play 90% of video games shooting yourself in the foot
The client not the OS.
?
Corporations hate their customers
Remind me again why people want to use 7?
Runs better on shitty hard drives is the only legitimate reason but it's your fault for not owning an SSD when they're so fricking cheap these days
boomers booming boomeously
if its new its bad
they will cope with things like saying new windows is spyware while at the same time owning a phone, an internet connection provided by a multi billion company and really just being a registered citizen
every generation has luddites, this is a small portion of them
they're fun to laugh at if nothing else
Because I have been and see no reason why I should be forced to change just to play old video games
Some people is lazy and doesn't change their OS as long as "it works". Guess some people also have Steam installed in old laptops or something.
we are not Microsoft's b***h, like you are.
>frick the 1+% install base
>meanwhile cater to the 0.9% Linux install base
so which one is it?
And why would Valve be so moronic and think their optional ahrdware survey would show the full install base, like shills do?
linux users actually send bug reports and contribute to the FOSS projects, plus they are more technically literate than win7 boomers who can't tell they're still being spied upon in win7 because they can't open wireshark
>bug reports
So Linux is buggy?
>win7
you understand that you can turn services off, dumb frick?
You actually still have control, no automatic updates that break all sorts of shit, also common on Linux
you can turn everything off on win 10-11 too but go off, open wireshark and show how firewalled your win 7 is
you are literally a Black person
you have never worked in a corporate environment
you have no fricking clue how licences work
we can't use old versions of windows in our labs at work because of "security vulnerabilities"
valve is a corporation, they can't use old versions of shit and hold Google liable for whatever exploits their old chromium version has
you as a user have a choice, since you aren't profiting off of the use of their programs
it's useless to try and explain this to a moronic Black person like you
>you can turn everything off
False
Also as soon as you install any update, it's ether enabled again, or some new shit gets added, or some other shit gets broken.
STOP SHILLING THIS GARBAGE, got it?
>liable for whatever exploits their old chromium version has
they literally install outdated web browsers on your windows 11, and you are too moronic to even know it.
But to top that off, you pretend to be "in the know", meanwhile you are showing that you know frick all.
Do you even understand that Valve could have built a simple small DRM client that only does downloading and DRM, and everything else is done in a browser window?
That way even if the web browser doesn't work anymore, you could still download and play games on older PCs.
You know that all sorts of games do not work on Windows 10 or 11 on top of the telemetry shit?
>corporate environment
I actually do and we have a moronic IT department that acts literally like you, the moron.
hey we need to test this
>no, we need to install Office 2021 everywhere
hey if we don't test this, you may break shit
>no, we just install it everywhere
a few hours later
>oops, stuff is broken
>not my problem anymore lmao
The difference between your IT department and the moron is that the moron is a (You)farming twat doing it on purpose. It's fricking obvious too, because he's overplaying the role of the angry sperg just to make sure you get annoyed enough to respond.
Yes, there are indeed people here who are so socially crippled, shitposting for (You)s is the closest they can ever hope to get to something vaguely resembling human interaction.
No way, they're definitely actually this autistic.
If there was ever a place to encounter a mega sperg who actually believes in these delusions, this is it.
you are literally a Microsoft's b***h, since you are using win7
impotent man child that you are will continue to moan and groan while being left behind in dust
no
you see Microsoft says "update" and I refuse to obey
you hear Valve and obey without even a thought.
same for Linux-morons.
>yes, must install updates, more updates, more updates means more secure hurr
cater to the 0.9% Linux install base
Valve has a business interest in supporting Linux to avoid getting fricked over by Microsoft via Windows Store gatekeeping. Windows 7 can't help Valve with that.
>avoid getting fricked over by Microsoft
>but locks people out of older Windows versions + software, which means they do exactly what Microsoft wants
so which one is it?
I assume that Valve basically doesn't care about what Microsoft wants, except if what Microsoft wants would affect them. So Microsoft's push for newer versions, they don't care about in itself because that doesn't inherently affect them. But Microsoft angling for control over desktop apps was/is a big concern for Valve, so they propped up an alternative to avoid getting raped.
>alternative
>to avoid getting raped
they are raping their own customers over and over again, lmao
they don't give a shit, because most of their customers are brain dead morons.
subscribers indeed.
Alternative to Valve getting raped, not Valve's customers. Valve's actions are driven by Valve's interests, not (inherently) by the interests of their customers.
If Steamis weren't brain fricked, Valve wouldn't dare to pull any of that.
But they are brain dead and brain fricked, so nothing matters.
The only move is to get off that train.
Yeah. I got off the Windows train long ago and went with Loonix, so my interests and Valve's are aligned for the time being (setting aside their frick frick games with paid mods).
>Loonix
perfect for a looney like you.
I don't desire anything. I desire to take a shit on Steam.
You idiot also already said they wouldn't do anything anyway, which means you are a full moron even suggesting that a hardware survey would change anything.
>>web browser still work on 7
>Until jan 15 when google ends chromium support for W7.
Lie and false
Not every web browser is Google garbage.
Anyone using Google garbage should get shot anyway.
>Prove it
t. ESL too stupid to read a simple post
>even suggesting that a hardware survey would change anything.
Jesus christ you dense fricking idiot. My point is you want hardware support, do hardware surveys. They're there to help. They are not a israeli scheme to steal your pc's soul.
>Lie and false
It literally ends on the 15th on january. Cope harder.
>Not every web browser is Google garbage.
The web browser the steam app uses is. Maybe send gaben an email (in your first language) about why he should switch to firefox, or whatever queermo browser you use is.
>t. ESL too stupid to read a simple post
Sorry I saw a jumble of greentext taken from a post that wasn't mine, so I just figured you botched it.
>My point is you want hardware support, do hardware surveys.
>I never said valve would do anything
schizo
>It literally ends on the 15th on january. Cope harder.
My web browser will keep on working, dilate + cope
>The web browser the steam app uses is.
The "steam app", you fricking moron, has that shit built in, so it's part of the "app", zoomer.
>Maybe send gaben an email
I don't give a shit about Steam or Valve.
I hope they die.
I will only help with a class aiction lawsuit.
Frick them.
>why he should switch to firefox
You do not even understand that you can call the operating system and say "please open this URL in the *system*'s web browser" and it will open it in whatever browser is installed.
Are you daft?
do you just call people you dont like zoomers or do you actually have a point that isnt moronic bullshit
I call incompetent morons zoomers.
And anyone who is moronic enough to call a program an "app" and also spouting nonsense and having no clue about any of that. Not even knowing about the system's web browser.
>My point is you want hardware support, do hardware surveys.
>It not about valve. This is about you and your life choices.
Are you fricking dense?
>I would hope you weren't using a chromium based browser
What kind of Engrish is that?
And no, I don't.
>what I already said
~~*you*~~: "The web browser the steam app uses is. "
Me: no, you fricking incompetent daft moron. The web browser is PART of the *app*. It doesn't "use" a web browser, the web browser is part of Steam, as you zoomer calls it "the app", which is moronic.
No one else does it this way, because it's just stupid.
arguing with a w7 user is like arguing with a brick wall id just give up if i were you
>arguing
you mean spouting nonsense and lying
>do a hardware survey
>Valve won't do anything
>this is a life choice!!!
>it's your fault that you don't do hardware surveys
Valve can't drop literally everything they have going right now and migrate their entire client to an entirely foreign backend.
Hell they barely managed to luck out in the first place since most of the fricking LEGACY IE stuff was forwards compatible.
>they can create "SteamOS" and work on Windows games sort of working on mentally ill OS
>but they can't make a light weight DRM client, which would primarily be strip shit out of their DRM client
???
>so which one is it?
>I never said valve would do anything
>if you want hardware support
Are you new to computers or the internet as a concept?
>you're the only one who's saying that
Stop lying, freak.
>>Why are W7 cultists so delusional?
>>hurr the survey says whatever percent
Imagine being so schizophrenic as to think
>if you want hardware support
means anything other than "if you desire hardware support".
Mental illness.
>First of all, web browsers still work on 7.
Until jan 15 when google ends chromium support for W7.
>Stop lying, freak.
Prove it, Black person.
obviously theyd cater to the install base that has operating systems with actual support
cater to the 0.9% Linux install base
yeah, and the number of linux users is growing pretty damn steadily
>operating systems with actual support
you understand how short your latest Shitix distro support is?
>and the number of linux users is growing pretty damn steadily
lmao, yeah since 20 years now.
Year of the Linux distro desktop any year now
lmao
Literally just Aero. Bros... I miss it so much it's unreal (GNOME 4x seems to be a good replacement, but it lacks SOVL).
https://gitgud.io/wackyideas/aerothemeplasma
>WARNING: THIS PROJECT IS NOT ACTIVE
>super low dpi
*yawn*
*didn't ask*
Vista did it better
>SOVL
I'm fricking sick of you homosexuals
>pepe the reddit
My fellow tourist! Good to see you.
did window 7 users really think this wasn't going to happen eventually, its like a console user being shocked services for said console are being dropped despite it being several gens behind
GOG games still work fine.
Cope
>just buy a new SSD every few years, because they break so fast
no
>because they break so fast
source?
my own experience.
I got a physical drive in my notebook, and despite ages old it works fine.
SSD already broke and had to be replaced.
Too bad my experience is the opposite.
He bought one of those Samsung SSDs that had the defective nand. Either that or he overwrites his 8tb of e-girl porn daily.
Tick tock morons
Any third party solutions to just download and play, if any?
Debian
Win7 autists are basically linux vegans.
Nah Linux users are atleast tech literate.
That's my point. Win7 gays are basically admitting that they're too fricking moronic for Linux.
No, we don't want to use anything that trannies and mentally ill people like Linus wrote, because you can't trust mentally ill people.
Why are you not using temple os then?
I want to play my Windows games.
Friends don't let friends use windows.
>majority of your friends and loved ones
who? jokes aside I don't know anyone still running windows 7
There are more Linux users on Steam than there are Windows 7 users at this point.
Fricking IMAGINE.
I smell a lawsuit coming from the EU.
>most
There are more people on Linux than W7.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
oh my god, who the hell cares?!
I hope they make it so Ganker won't let people on windows 7 post so I can stop seeing these fricking threads.
Imagine actually using a launcher.
it's a web browser, an outdated web browser that they install on your system, while claiming it would be just a launcher.
As always Valve are lying.
>get MitM'd by Valve's simple small DRM client that only does downloading and DRM
thanks Gabe
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
What's this character from? No reverse image search results.
It's not really worth discussing because the 7tards will be irrelevant by January.
They will b***h, they will moan, they will leave. Let them.
update update update
but don't come screaming
>I couldn't know they would drop support for my Steam Deck
>that's something different!!!!
>uh well, I iwll buy Deck 2, but only this one time
They frick you over and over, and you are acting like a fricking slave.
Meanwhile GOG even sells Windows XP only games.
There's one now!
No, Valve will support the Steam Deck forever.
I'm sure of it.
Valve loves me.
Steam Link and Steam Controller still get updates
>Meanwhile the storefront initially called Good Old Games created with the sole intent of selling ancient titles sells old games.
*gasp*
How does GOG support older OS, but Valve can't?
It's a miracle.
Valve is forward thinking and supports Linux instead.
GOG doesn't support older OS's because they don't need to. Dosbox is a thing.
They also don't "support" anything. The installers they ship are "modified" InnoSetup. They're at the whims of some other company! IS does not list support for anything prior to Vista.
>They also don't "support" anything.
Of course they do.
I can download their installer and it works.
That's the definition of support, brain dead monkey.
Meanwhile w/ Steam I can'tdownload anything, I can't install anything, I'm locked out.
At best I can download on another system and then copy everything over like a moron and hope for the best.
Frick Valve
Frick you
and frick Gabe
They support what their upstream installer packager supports.
They haven't dropped Windows XP games or Windows XP support.
Point 1 for GOG
Zero points for Steam
Probably shipping with the same installer it originally got uploaded with. But surely you're not limiting yourself to XP-era games?
they are actually updating games all the time, fricking idiot.
>they can't pack a new version of the game, because that's just impossible
I hate zoomers.
Packing it with a new version of the game would be packing it with a new version of InnoSetup which does not support XP.
Then again, it's boomer-core so they probably use obsolete software all the same.
Also this is supposedly already happening https://www.gog.com/forum/general/does_gogcom_platform_work_in_old_computers_like_windows_xp_old/post27
>would be packing it with a new version of InnoSetup which does not support XP.
I hate fricking zoomers
no clue how computers work.
just repeating nonsense they watched on youtube
but enough about yourself and failing to read my entire post.
you have no clue
>but but i need to use latest installer to built latest installer bundle
>doing anything else would be a "security risk"
I'm sure you were wearing a mask during the last 3 years.
You're just proving you did not read my entire post. You stopped reading the second you found something to latch onto.
And while we're here, the first reply to that post with the GOG forum link was also me.
and Steam shills always say that Steam would have DRM free software.
Yeah, why can't I download that directly huh?
Via web browser, huh?
Like GOG.
Why isn't that marked accordingly in the Steam store, huh?
Valve is so customer-friendly, huh?
Can't even show you which software is fricked and which is not?
you're stupid for using steam in the first place piracy exists you know
>just steal it
>like me
>the Black person
alright fricker have fun giving your hard earned money to corpos who couldnt give less of a shit about you
GOG tests games.
They care at least more than Valve, Black person.
cracker standard english truly is incredible
>GOG tests games.
lol ok pussy are you scared of getting a virus? cant find the good sites?
>tests games
>virus
Are you fully moronic?
Look up what the word "test" means, it doesn't mean "scan for viruses".
Are you drunk?
okay so if it doesnt mean scan for viruses then what the frick does test mean and whats the fricking point? because i frankly have no idea what the moronic bullshit youre spouting means
>I don't understand what the word "test" means
Go away ESL
just looked it up. are gog users so moronic that they actually need someone else to check if the shit works?? i guess piracy is too difficult for them
>I don't want to know on what Operating Systems the game works
>I just buy and then check it out myself
>I also don't need fixes, I will fix it myself, by using .exes that I downloaded from random sites off the internet
>btw. it's weird my credit card was stolen last month
>>I don't want to know on what Operating Systems the game works
i could like. look it up. are you perhaps stupid?
>>I just buy and then check it out myself
as if i would ever fricking buy anything
>btw. it's weird my credit card was stolen last month
omfg if youre moronic to the point you get your credit card stolen from piracy you deserved to have your credit card stolen
not downloading malicious software is literally so fricking easy if you have any kind of common sense
>i could like. look it up
On gog.com?
no on the fricking general internet you moron
is this too high concept for you?
>I trust some random troony website that claims the game would run on Windows 10
>frick, it doesn't
They fire up the period-correct virtual machine and slap a good boy status on it
they do.
I can download GOG Windows XP game and run it on Windows XP and install it and it works.
Meanwhile I can't do that w/ Steam, because Steam locks you out.
>Still using W7.
>Friends and family.
A lot of assumptions here. Anyone using a third world operating system is neither my family or my friend.
Good that Linux isn't used by many people.
If your OS doesn't have a mascot drawn by Eric Schwartz then I'm not going to use it.
Post said mascot. It might be relevant to my interests.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days
>friends and loved ones
Literally who? Your deranged tinfoil hat uncle? He's more likely to use templeos than winblows.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
What the frick is your problem you fricking Black person?
>morons will use outdated software that requires workarounds rather than just fricking installing linux
you deserve everything that happens to you
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days
Valve is sure raping me, as a piratechad, by improving the gaming on Linux experience for free (without tip).
Thanks Valve.
All I want is an OS that just fricking does its job without telling me what I can and cant do on my computer while releasing steady updates to close exploits and other bullshit that always pops up. Something I can pay for and that's it, no ads, no monitoring, no monthly fee done.
Why is this too much to ask for? Windows was fricking fine that way it was but then they had to go and copy apple for no god damn reason.
you have to understand: tablet market.
So frick the good UI, and here comes the morono UI.
What web browser forks are people using on 7?
Where was all this discussion when XP was dropped? I remember some but maybe I was blind.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
sus
just upgrade to win11 already moron
>majority
>1.6%
is op moronic?
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days
Windows is not synonymous with PC.
Software support and Hardware support are different.
Might as well be if you're an ignorant, lazy, tech-illiterate dimwit which constitutes the majority of gamers.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
WHAT BROWSER DO YOU USE ON WINDOWS 7?
none of your business, search it yourself, incompetent techie
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
What can Windows 7 do that Linux can't?
work
either you have no idea how to use linux or have never used linux
play all Windows games
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days

No thanks bro.
>only download software from TRUSTED REPOSITORIES
>with tons of telemetry
you didn't pay for 7 either get your garbage bait out of here
I actually did.
In fact I bought a 2nd copy.
>dude trust me
also you're using the proprietary-mental-illness definition of free. again, garbage bait.
>noooo, Linux is independent
>totally trustworthy corporations are working on it
>like IBM
kys
>and use Firefox without hardware acceleration
telemetry, onlya fool would use that shit
>schizo rambling

Try the IBM LinuxONE Community Cloud, a no-charge, 24 x 7, enterprise-grade, open access, shared public cloud environment on IBM's LinuxONE platform.
>nooo, you are free from corporations!!!
>for sure
https://www.ibm.com/opensource/story/
IBM’s long history and strong commitment to open source is the best kept secret in open source. While open source communities have long appreciated IBM’s role in the movement, until our recent acquisition of Red Hat, not many people outside of those communities would have associated IBM with open source.
>gaahhhhh
rambleramble...
https://www.ibm.com/opensource/story/
IBM’s long history and strong commitment to open source
>but but corporations free from corporations
>IBM good now
IBM literally worked with Nazis.
bump
In 1999, we helped to create the Apache Software Foundation (ASF), contributing thousands of line of code and dedicated resources to support the Apache Web Server projects
hahahaha
>open source good
>corporations bad
>except when corporations inject code into open source
>must be trustworthy

>CODE OF CONDUCT
>CODE OF CONDUCT
>ahhhhhhh
>FREE
You pay for it by selling your data, privacy, and control over your operating system.
The cost is significantly higher than any other paid OS. Just because you're too moronic to see it since it doesn't come out of your bank account doesn't mean it's not there.
Feels good to be an euro. If they ever try to use the harvested data in any way that matters, they'll open themselves to a GDPR sized fine.
AIDS is also free. Go get it, champ
to be fair AIDS is better than Linux.
At least AIDS works, and isn't a brain dead marxist manlet, who is pro baby killing aka fricked up in the head.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days
>elinor
And bzeh, if I'm not wrong. Commendable taste.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
Win10 werks on my machine.
Except for that one time the news and interests and weather widget sprung a memory leak but I just turned them off ever since.
>People complain about owning anything
>They didn't make their own graphics cards, cpus, motherboards, etc.
>They didn't make their own OS
>They didn't make their own coding language
>They didn't make their own games to play
This is the end argument of "owning" something.
Yep, that's what it boils down to.
>free software, this means secure!!! source!!!
So did you write all the firmware too for all the hardware?
>uhh noooo
what about the microcode running on your CPU
>uhhhhh
what about the CPU itself? Did you build your own so that it's trustworthy without any backdoors
>uhhhhhh
What about UEFI bios?
>uhhhhhh
>What about network card firmwares?
>uhhhhhhh
this breaks the mentally ill OS user.
Why are Windows 10 users furries?
they upgraded from 7
You should be using linux anyway, so it's good to either be cucked by 10 or 11, or be forced into using it.
Every single chrome program will stop running on win7.
After that every 7 user stops running permanently.
good
Bye bye Googlews
Bye Bye
Unironically excited for it.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.

Anyway, I'm glad that Windows 7 is finally going away.
>The majority of your friends and loved ones will forever lose access to their Steam accounts in 105 days.
I customize my Windows updates like I customize my body.
I just welcome whatever slop is put on my plate.
Same. That's how I got from XP to 7.
