The quest was changed, I believe, so that we ensure she escapes instead of ensuring she continues to be raped until such time it is no longer necessary.

Not really. Because it doesn't matter either way the timeline is endangered. If Alex escapes too early, or too late, either way the timeline will be damaged. With the latter option of ensuring that players ensure that Alextrasza can break free from the mind control when she is supposed to, it ensures the timeline is as it should be and players are instead the ones rescuing her from rape instead of ensuring she is going to be raped until she needs to escape.

I actually like the aesthetic that WoW has developed for characters and environments over the years. I just wish the game was actually fun beyond its moronic raiding scene, trying to grind for cool transmogs and mounts wasn't turbo-AIDS, and the travel system wasn't a relic from the early 2000s.

I tried playing Mage during the Shadowlands prepatch because a buddy badgered me in to trying the game and holy shit the difference between all the Mage specs and BLM is astronomical. It felt like I was playing Level 50 BLM at max level. Plus 99% of cloth armor sets looked horrendous.

the environmental art has always been good, but the models are fricked, they look like some dreamwork shit. the updated player models feel really cartoony and uncanny compared to the old ones, which to this day have really satisfying animations. and monster design etc has gone down the drain too, look at the dracthyr compared to old drakonid models. looks like a completely different franchise.

I retired my fem UD priest when they added the new models. She used to have this really melancholy look to her face, I would get random comments about how sad she looked during queues etc.,
Now, she looks like another generic undeadface with no particular emotional expression to it at all.
I would say the same goes for most the other models, even just the facial expressions on the older models are better than the facial expressions on the much higher poly newer models, with maybe some exceptions for the human males or whatever, and even then all the expressions all the models make now are silly.

I know you can set it back to old models if you want to see that or whatever, but I don't wanna live in a fantasy world where only I can see it, I think that's crazy.

The quest involved the Demon Soul that was controlling her and the other dragons would be found, which means the players are responsible for Alex staying mind controlled and raped because it wasn't time for her to escape yet.
The quest was changed, I believe, so that we ensure she escapes instead of ensuring she continues to be raped until such time it is no longer necessary.

Not really. Because it doesn't matter either way the timeline is endangered. If Alex escapes too early, or too late, either way the timeline will be damaged. With the latter option of ensuring that players ensure that Alextrasza can break free from the mind control when she is supposed to, it ensures the timeline is as it should be and players are instead the ones rescuing her from rape instead of ensuring she is going to be raped until she needs to escape.

No, it's not. Faction choices does not matter anymore you can group up cross faction in all relevant content, which is to say you can engage in the rampant RMT and GDKP runs on either Alliance or Horde. The game is more pay to win than most gacha games are at this point. As a result, you have to be brain dead to still want to play WoW in any way shape or form.
