it has directstorage support which lets textures load faster, however standard loading from nvme is not exactly slow and it's probable that unity will update its pc version to support directstorage at some point.

I did a bunch of research on nvme drives when I got a new PC that had slots for them. apparently they are exponentially faster than SSDs but the problem is that 99% of games don't utilize that speed yet. someone compared it to having a ferrari in bumper to bumper traffic.

NVME's are fast, yes, but those huge speeds are typically not used for gaming because games rely more on RANDOM speeds not sequential and those huge speeds are from sequential. That's why if you compare a SATA SSD and a NVME SSD on most PC games, the difference will be minor to nonexistent because the random speeds between the two are pretty much in the same ballpark. The difference in load times between PC and PS5 is entirely because of a feature called DirectStorage (if you don't know what that is just watch a video on it). The PC version doesn't support this feature yet so the PS5 does in fact have faster loads.
