When you see a well thought out argument then you know someone actually hates a game.
Controls turned at near 45 degree angles and riding a horse felt like I was prop-surfing through an alleyway in gmod with 150 ping. Combat boiled down to spamming a button fast enough, to cheesing "magic" attacks. The way you interact with npcs feels stiff and unnatural. Whatever good writing there is in side quest chars, it's completely made obsolete by the stupid dialogue design which makes it feels like I'm being jumpcut between characters. The start is a fricking slog to get through, even when you're set on the right track it's just a complete bore going from one town to the next. No events that happen between cities, just scripted tracks on the ground that you track using a cliché game mechanic that gets stale after the second or third time you use it. And it's not that it's slow, it's just boring. I fricking loved RDR2, that shit nailed open world gaming. It had different aspects, movements and animations were just top notch. The Witcher 3 is a fricking abomination.

The map/city design is unrivalled. It is the most detailed of any open world game ever, with possibly the best graphics out there too.
The problem is with the open world's systems. The limited reactions of npcs, the floaty physics, the lack of any kind of faction or noterity system despite you gunning down thousands of one gang and then doing work for their top figures, the lack of mechanical depth when it comes to cop chases, the repeating npcs with repeating animations. When you compare it to any open world rockstar game it gets completely rekd in comparison.
If you stand in one space in a busy area in gtav it feels like the world is alive. The npcs go about their business and the world continues around you. If you do the same thing the game's seams begin to show and everything has a sheen of artifice to it. The npcs walk in sync. They are all silent, there are only like 10 character models. If you shoot a gun off they all do the exact same thing and run in the same direction.
Cyberpunk needs more detailed systems to match its incredibly detailed map.

The perks work way better now, you can use sandevistan and kerensikov in cars, daggers as they are now are a muc hbetter addition.
Everything else is the same.
I much prefer leveling my stuff through killing and stuff instead of dodging around like a headless chicken just to raise my athletics, this isn't TES.

weapon damage scales off your level (not the weapon itself) and enemy health scales off your level and all weapon types deal the same dps within their tech class
leveling is for all intents and purposes a cosmetic change now that makes your numbers look bigger but don't actually change the TTK ever
the whole new skill tree and healing system is built around this to provide you as little power progression as possible so that all fights pan out the same
yes you'll have some power progression but it's miniscule in comparison. this is why the whole skill tree is now about being able to do more stuff, than being able to do stuff better, with some skills as crutches

The old skill tree was worthless as frick, full of 5% damage increase bullshit with even less actually worthwhile skills, and god forbid I mention how all the skills were just isolated shit you could throw points into willy nilly, go frick yourself with a rake.
I'm trying really hard to like Cyberpunk but it's just tedious to play. You get contracts, far cry camps and GTA like quests but without R* touch. The two things I actually remember from this game are Idriss Elba and Keanu Reeves. Fricking actors. Gameplay is trash and it's glitchy as frick overall. Lore is cool though, the city is pretty and dense but there isn't anything else to do apart from killing npcs
Been playing 1.6 on ps4 and it’s great. Been good for a while.
Bought it on FITGIRL. Game is a complete snoozefest until "The Heist", after that is gets way better. Also, unironnically, there's a hot girl that is not that bad (Panam I think). I expected way too many troon/leftist shit in this game but it's not that bad (yet). Johnny Silverhand seems based as well. The only problem so far are some annoying bugs and ads like these.

The problem never was the skill trees or no police chases, it goes so much deeper, but the morons that hated on the game because others hated on it just repeated the most braindead criticisms and CDPR just "fixed" those and pretended like the game isn't still just average, like it was at release.

The game was built on like 80% lies. I imagine at some point that shit would've been playable and the actual prologue/act 1
