I recently played through NxC, PxZ and PxZ2 and I really want a new one. All of them besides PxZ were fantastic.
The only problem with the games is that the maps start to frickin DRAG in the latter halves of the games. Also the "have every character in the party come in to make a one line comment on everything that happens" kinda drags a bit too.
PxZ went completely overboard with it, and its one reason why I really dislike this game. PxZ2 has way less enemies on the screen and therefore is much more enjoyable to play. I always skipped the one-liners tbh. Just not worth it unless you're a hardcore xzy fanboy.
You liked Namco X Capcom better than Project X Zone? How come?
Not him but the OCs they made for PxZ fricking suck ass. Not really a reason to dislike the whole game (having to kill 50+ enemies on the later maps is a much bigger problme) but still.
A better battle system imo, since everything felt way meatier to land, and comboing certain moves felt way more rewarding.
The game was way more soulful than PxZ, since PxZ for me, felt like a really cheaply fan-made crossover game.
The art style was better. The music was better. The maps were better.
The only thing PxZ did better was the faster gameplay loop.

I'd like to see a new rhythm heaven, or a wario platformer. Every few months I just get really into rhythm games. I've had a lot of fun with those on previous consoles. Some new joy con styles might be nice, I've had my current pair a couple years now and a new color scheme would be fun. I'd like to see Persona 3 Reload confirmed for switch. I could get the xbox version but portable jrpgs are nice. Along with that, bring the Persona Q games to 3DS would be nice. I've been meaning to try playing Q again but don't carry my 3ds around much at the moment. Everyone itt is saying 2d mario, but I'd still like something new for Odyssey because I really enjoyed the movement mechanics. 3D World and Bowser's Fury both were fun, but I miss doing some of the weird jump tricks. Bringing over Twilight Princess and Wind Waker would be nice and one less reason to keep looking for a Wii U in good shape, but a lower priority for me. I actually don't want to see any kind of DS virtual console. Implementing the touch screen would likely be lacking before you even consider the microphone used for many games. It'd still be nice to have Galaxy 2 on the switch, but it would be lame to buy it on it's own. Maybe as some kind of add on to 3D all-stars. I'd love a remake or something of mario rpg if they don't redesign everything and homogenize the charm away.
Any time I do that I search "nintendo direct 6/21/2023" or similar and just have a billion shitty click farm results that show everything in the thumbnail instead of finding the direct itself.
I just don't know what they could possibly have up their sleeves. One last Pikmin 4 trailer and announcements for some DLC for TotK and Mario Kart? We know Metroid Prime 4 is at least another year or so out. We know Silksong will be a no show again. Maybe they'll have something for the Daemon x Machina sequel to ride the Armored Core hype, but that's it. Of course there will be the sizzle reel of ports, indies, and who-gives-a-frick JRPGs, but that's a given.

They know that turd isn't selling more than 5 copies, the only reason they're even releasing it is to fill space while they wait for the next console.
I believe 1-2 Switch seriously didn't take more $200,000 to develop and more than a couple of weeks. I'm convinced it was just probably just a development proof of concept for the joycons someone went and said "let's monetize this bullshit".

Probably not until the end of 2025, more like. TotK just got a lot of people to either upgrade to the OLED or buy a Switch for the first time, they'll want to take advantage of that as much as they can. Hopefully they won't do so for too long, the Switch is not nearly good enough of a console for them to try to recreate the PS2's lifespan.

New consoles are such a volatile time for Nintendo. They tend to be on a hot and cold cycle so I'm sure they're nervous. Remember many people expected Switch to be a catastrophic failure after the Wii U. With the economy being uncertain for the foreseeable future I'd be sweating bullets if I were Nintendo. how are they going to get people to buy what will likely wind up being an even more expensive Switch if the upgrade is just minor graphics stuff?

There's definitely big games being prepared behind the scenes that we likely won't hear about until next year at the earliest. Always the case with Nintendo but I think some of their big studios have some bangers coming. Launching with a new Zelda seems kind of farfetched if 2024 is when the new game releases though.
Zelda won't be at launch. It'll be within the first year though I'd wager. I also suspect at this point Prime 4 has been quietly pushed back to Switch 2, if it doesn't show up at this Direct that'll be the final nail in the coffin for that in my opinion. 3D Mario is pretty much guaranteed for launch though I'd say, as well as Mario Kart 9 being in the launch window.
They're talking about how they want to continue the BotW formula going so if they reuse the engine and create a NEW world then I can see people getting excited about it. But if they reuse this same world a 3rd time people won't be happy with it

At the current time it's 11:00PM in Japan. Any later and it would be really late. Any earlier and it would be way too early for everyone else. Europe gets like 3PM which is a solid time. 10:00am isn't bad either. Only west coast gays get fricked but if you get up early anyway you could hypothetically watch it before you go to work or whatever.

I remember when Superstars released, it was kind of HYPED for a few days on Ganker. I remember anons making threads and setting up rooms, I joined some of them. It was kind of comfy/fun to play with people on Ganker but I got bored pretty fast with it. There were very few boards, and only like 2 of them were actually fun. The games weren't all that great either.

If Nintendo doesn't get at least one home run otu of this, all this stupid pseudo-E3 splayed out all over late May through June will have amounted to a middling Ubisoft conference where they announced that their popular IPs still exist and another one of Xbox's "this game will never come out but it looks cool, right?" presentations guest starring Starfield.

Please... Bring chibi-robo back... Just make it a normal one. No platforming, no photo gimmicks, no minigames, just one like the original and Clean Sweep. Don't make a single bizarre decision like making it a walmart exclusive or giving it no advertising. Just treat it like any other game. It doesn't even need the humans and toys from the first two, just have interesting characters and a massive house to explore.

Hi. Actual gamedev here. Here's what I know from talking to a Stacy at work who talks to some of her prostitutes in the industry.
1. Nu-Mario game is NOT in the "New" artstyle, and actually is the official 2D artstyle they use for stickers and promo art.
2. Final Fantasy 7 Integrade (Cloud Version) will be shadowdropped today as the direct finishes up. It'll be $70-90 and no one will give a shit about it.
3. New Pikmin multiplayer is actually in depth, and they were trying to get the whole campain to be playable in co-op. The japs on the team are mostly new too, so idk if they were able to accomplish that feat.
4. (SPECULATION ON MY PART) Toby Fox may announce a release date for Deltarune today. Chapter 5 is still unfinished but 3&4 are basically ready to ship. We're probably gonna get a December release date and a price.

New 2D Mario, particularly a non-NSMB one. Though really, any main-series Mario game wold be good. Though to be honest, I don't know how likely it really is. Unlike Mario and Zelda, Nintendo have never released a main-series Mario game at the tail-end of a console. The closest was SMG2 in 2010.
