Peak tank controls and up there with peak prerendered backgrounds. It pushed the tank controls to the extreme, it doesnt get snappier and faster than RE3.
Considering its development and what the game went through, the end result is very impressive.
Pistoling is actually the best weapon against him. And then when you get the handgun from parts it becomes the second best weapon. Shotgun has too lengthy animations. Maintain distance (but not too much because he will start running at you), fire two shots, three is pushing it. Run diagonally past his non-dominant arm so that he doesnt grab you. Two shots. Repeat. ~50-55 rounds is enough to kill him. Keep firing at him when he is down, it counts too. That first encounter is honestly the worst.
For the second one at the dark room in the RPD you can lure him into the next room where the safe is. He will get stuck in front of the shelf and you can get free 20-30 rounds into him. Then with the new handgun it gets significantly easier onward because the rate of fire is stupidly fast.
Thanks for posting this, didnt know about it. I also didnt know (I presume) that going into inventory sort of "resets" Nemesis from unfricking from the glitch. Neato
It's funny how this is the "rehashed cashgrab spinoff" but it's so much more fun to play than CV
Well, it has better gameplay than CV but CV is a truer RE in terms of level design and pacing. If you consider RE1 the pure RE, CV is a lot similar and has more in common with it than RE3. I love all equally tbh
You dont need to cheese it. But when you played the game 10 times over the years its kind of fun to see what alternatives there are. Its a very legitimate boss fight on its own.
And then if you are that much of a scrub the game literally gives you the option of not fighting and running into the police station. In fact you can avoid most encounters but then dont get the cool drops
>And then when you get the handgun from parts it becomes the second best weapon.
The Eagle is worse than the regular Handgun against Nemesis. With the regular handgun you can safely fire a few shots from mid distance, reposition yourself, and so on.
The Eagle though will randomly crit, which in turns makes Nemesis run and rush at the player, completely breaking what is an otherwise safe pattern.
The best weapon against Nemesis is the GL with freeze rounds however
Good read, I guess I was wrong that. I never noticed that he rushes more often with Eagle, I just figure that RoF is a good tradeoff over everything. The actual downside of Eagle is that it cant fire enhanced/explosive ammo but its still my favorite weapon in the game (alongside very underrated mine launcher)

How did they just casually pump out a ton of games with such deep gameplay in such a short time, and why can nobody do it properly anymore.
>Also, i doubt Dreamcast loads slower than ps1, Dreamcast had a faster disk drive.
Dreamcast ports of RE2/3 do load slower than the og PSX version. It's not the "console"s fault, it's the way the games were programmed. They ported the windows version using wine so the performance is awful.
and you still get the bad background colours emulated, so I have no idea why you would do that when you could be playing the PC versions. Which are literally the same versions but better.

He emulated an emulation for save states.

It has better models. Never noticed any difference in background color. Also, Dreamcast version can be Upscaled to 1080p. Also also, i like the vmu.

>bad story
>bad gameplay
>bad graphics

You can cheese him using this method (hope the timestamp works):

how about an actual fun encounter

the thing is, you dont have to fight him....... so really these tips only for those who already played the game a billions times

The upgraded mine thrower is tons of fun

It's better on dreamcast
No, that is the worst version of the game
but enojy your loading times and your fricked up colours
I emulated it. Derp
>I played it with save states and guides and a different input time.
Okay, but we don't sign our posts around here.
I didnt say that you dumb Black person. I had zero load times. Also, i doubt Dreamcast loads slower than ps1, Dreamcast had a faster disk drive.
