You're missing the point. The half A press is used in a multiple star run. You're right that he has to press it at some point, but he used the press down for one star, and let go to get another. He used one full a press to get multiple stars. The rolling rocks one specifically just required him to let go so he could enter the level with it already pressed. If he was doing that one star individually then he would obviously need to press it, but he isn't. Do you get it now or are you a highschool dropout?
In the realm of playing a level by itself, yeah, you either pressed the A button or you didn't. However the A button challenge takes into consideration all 120 stars, meaning that the A press used for the stage was held down from a previous A press used at a different point during the entire 120 star run.
It's valid if you contextualise it as a user action, which is the action of pressing then lifting the button, irrespective of how long the button is held between press and lift.
Otherwise, yeah you can't have an in-between of a binary state, said state being pressed or not pressed.
This depends entirely on the game and how it was coded, it's not always a binary state. A game can react:
- The button is currently not pressed
- The button JUST got pressed
- The button is currently being held down
- The button JUST got released
except in m64 there is a somewhat in between state. Holding down the A button performs a jump but it also lets you do a wide variety of shenanigans that arent possible if the button wasn't held.
Because it's an arbitrary lie, you're the one who doesn't understand the term. >run viewed in the context of the whole game
it's 1 A press >exact same run but in the context of a single level where A was pressed and held from outside of it
It's now called a 1/2 press because it's different than if you pressed A within the level. All the stupid bullshit about "there are stages to a button press, but uuuhh we throw out 1 cause it doesn't do anything" is just idiotic semantics to justify the choice of name.
He could have called it "1 A hold" or "1 autistic pen homosexual press" and it would be just as legitimate as calling it a 1/2 press, which is still just 1 A press. TJ "Henry" Yoshi was right.
>>run viewed in the context of the whole game >it's 1 A press
Its 0 extra A presses because it borrows the hold from a previous A press.
same run but in the context of a single level where A was pressed and held from outside of it >It's now called a 1/2 press because it's different than if you pressed A within the level.
Its 1 A press because A still needs to be pressed or held down at some point prior to the beginning of the level
Taking the average of both contexts results in 0.5.
I dont like the ones that rely on 10 hours of set up instead of unique or novel strategy.
It feels like you can do that to get any star its just nobody wants to actually do it.
The buildup is for speed, and not every stage has a place people know about to abuse that speed to gain height. That's really what the A button challenge is all about: gaining height without jumping.
I'd say building up speed to travel to parallel universes on order to avoid an A press is pretty novel.
And its not like he's doing it because he likes wasting the time. If there was a faster method he would be using it, since it's still a speedrun. It's just literally the only way we know how at the moment.
Except I didn't ask you to cook your own food, I asked you to give some examples of food that's not full of literal human shit. And you failed to do so because it's an impossibility.
I think his attention died down enough for him to feel comfortable doing another one. I saw that tweet too, but I absolutely agree with it I should've been the prime target for that but thankfully I became too engrossed in conspiracy theories to see that as anything less than manifesting baphomet's image and I'm also 6'5" and known for my mustache. I would be one of the least convincing "women" to ever exist.
It's so that you can know exactly when a new video is coming out, and not only that, but also experience it at the same time as many other like-minded fans and discuss/react to it together.
I don't know, I kind of like it in some cases.
It's the same thing that happens with every online service. They're just reimplementing features we had for decades without it. Like how TV shows used to air at a specific time. Another example is Amazon physical stores after their online business model killed physical stores.

Is there some reason a million trannies were spamming troony shit in chat or is that just normal behavior in livestreams now?

Yeah sorry, this is your L, Ganker. Fricking idiots
I got no idea what's happening there, he didn't even add text commentary now, and chat is just morons going "whoa omg!!"
Hopefully he'll make an actual watchable vid for room-temp IQ people like me
The route goes like this. First, we enter the red coin room and go to the moving platform. Using the new glitch Mario’s Platform Adventure (MPA), we're able to get the moving platform outside of the room’s bounds. This works because the elevator is able to go 1 frame into a wall before turning around, and by interrupting the elevator’s recoil action with another button press, we can repeatedly move it 1 more frame into the wall until the platform is all the way through. We then move the platform towards the wall while it’s on a tilt, which is done by interrupting its recoil action by pressing a button and then immediately slide kicking off of it, then leaving the platform's 400-unit radius shortly after to freeze its tilt in place. Then using the side of the platform that’s tilted upwards, we clip Mario out via a wall overlap. From there, we ride the platform to the A-Maze-ing Emergency Exit hallway. In there, we raise the swoopers using the elevator, and then clip each of them out using a wall overlap on the elevator’s corner. Note that pausing helps manipulate the swoopers’ movement, since their turning oscillations are dependent on the global timer. Once both swoopers are clipped out, we clip Mario out as well using another wall overlap. Then we move the swoopers to the rolling rocks room, and have them clip back in bounds. After that, we make our way to the rolling rocks room and transport a scuttlebug over to the star. We then raise the scuttlebug to get it onto the star platform. Next we get the swooper in that room to go towards the star as well. Finally, we use vertical speed conservation to bounce on the 4 enemies (the swooper in the rolling rocks room, the two swoopers from earlier, and the scuttlebug) and perform a glitchy ledge grab to get onto the star platform, and collect the star.
So he figured out he could use the two enemies precisely positioned to bump him up to the star, he had to smuggle the platform out of bounds to smuggle the bats in, and then did the old trick with the ball frickers to make one lift itself up high and get into position. Neat
And bat manipulation. You see how the bat vectors kept moving while paused? I believe that's because their cycles depend on the global timer, which keeps ticking during the pause screen. That's why he was pause-buffering

From what I gather the current final plan is a 70 star 0x continuous TAS, which is lacking only some way to skip the pole for N64 and I don't remember what star doesn't work in the remake where the pkatforms are fricked, and if someone happens to find some new shit we check what's done already. WMOTR has probably less than an hour of brainstorming.
70 star 0xA TAS can be done on Wii virtual console, but for 120 stars the original JP N64 release is still the best choice.
They're trying to figure out how to possibly get past the pole on N64, of course, but a 70 star 0x is otherwise possible.

I thought the problem with the VC pole skip was that the quirks of the emulator made tricks for skipping other a presses in the run impossible and thus a net zero gain
That sounds oddly possible all things considered. I mean they are already holding bobomb explosions somehow.

I thnk the game explicitly checks if the object Mario is trying to grab is grabbable (ie. not himself), so I imagine the only way around it would be to somehow corrupt the game. However, at that point, you might straight up find ACE exploits instead.
Anonymous
The entire point of these glitches is to hold something that can't usually be held, like explosions, coin spawners or fire. Getting Mario to hold himself would have to involve somehow loading him into the objects table which I don't think is possible.

Isn't an object just any thing in screen? Mario should be the object that's always loaded by definition.

Anyone know more videos in this genre? "Showing how a video game works by doing absurdly weird thingsin it to push mechanics to the brink."
The only other ones i love are the darkviperau pacifict GTAV playtrought, he spends 12+ on each mission to push npcs around to kill eachother. Nothing on par with mario's parrarel universes though.

Stryder7x and Marcel Vos are the pannenkoek of Paper Mario and Roller Coaster Tycoon respectively. Bismuth does an incredible job of breaking down speed runs step by step for a variety of games because the research he does is often contributed by the people that do those runs. The 5 hour documentary on the A button challenge is a pretty good example of that.

I'm very happy that you posted this, because it perfectly captures everything that's wrong with the average (see: moronic) Ganker poster. You had a completely moronic take about something that didn't even exist, and felt that was a good post to make. Just like everybody else on this board who shoots from the hip without knowing what they are talking about.
If Pannen just showed the comment and ended it there then TJ "Henry" Yoshi wouldn't have been as big a meme. What sells it is that Pannen followed it up with an Austin Powers meme to frame the entire rest of the video as a response to prove half presses exist.
I don't care what you say but he was right by the way
You can't half press a button
You either press it or not
Go ahead, try to half press your left mouse button
>Go ahead, try to half press your left mouse button
You can do that if you press the button before turning on your computer and keeping it pressed while turning it on.

There is an immense SOUL flowing from this cringe and nerdy school project BTW, I feel like trannies will never replicate this
No, just an acquaintance. Scott and his friends were all in basically the highest math classes possible, too smart for me.
I found his pannenkoek channel through Cosmo Wright many years ago, didn't even realize it was him for a while.
This is an amazing find, someone needs to show this to him
Also it's oddly nostalgic for me, I was in a bunch of AP classes in highschool and one kid in my classes similarly ended up becoming a somewhat popular Mario speedrunning autist, it really is a small world

Sometimes you must bite the bullet to get your goals fulfilled. There has been a sudden rise of furries and trannies helping him out with new strats and tools so as a leader you have to abide by their rules (aka pronouns), otherwise if you frick up they'll cancel you and drop out thus lower odds of finding new discoveries. Shit sucks but this is what advanced autism does to people.
>HIghly intelligent nerdy dorky STRAIGHT white man
You know those men come in heavy deep conflict with leftists and trannies right? Leftists are low test and unintelligent. Pannenkoek is definitely low test but also smart.
High IQ men are no longer democrat. Pannen is only respecting xersheizeno pronouns to throw a bone, otherwise he's based.
I'll be honest, its not exactly worth ruining your reputation because you have to use some different words
you're not Prometheus for telling some mentally ill person to kill themselves
>because you have to
Have to? Who the frick do you think you are? Trying to redefine an entire language based on the delusional fantasies of gay morons?
Pretty straightforward, they lunge at you if you enter a certain radius around their home, unless you do it from another room, in which case they lunge forward. Repeatedly entering and exiting the radius lets you reset their lunges and make them happen at the apex of a previous one thus raising the scuttlebug.
One of the very first "sand box" style games where you could just frick around in a 3d space + kids game so a lot of people formed a strong connection with it.
If you haven't noticed most autism magnents are usually targeted as kids, like sonic, pokemon, and mario.
people like Henry Yoshi and Let Me Solo Her are the most cringe shit in any fanbase
I don't know the term for this type of organic related side character joke gay shit but it makes me seethe
People like you are the exact reason why soul has been stripped away from websites like Ganker and the internet in general.
You need your normalgay dose of irony, stability and lack of fun. Sure. But don't impose it on everyone because you can't enjoy thing Black person
>or is it just that based autists have decided to push the limits of that game much more than other games?
It's this. Also the overwhelming majority of these tricks are TAS only. A normal human is not going to back into a ramp for 9 hours and then release on exactly the correct frame.
It's like G1 Pokeymanz. Broken in ways that are extremely abusable if you know what you are doing but otherwise unnoticeable to the average joe.
Many strats are just possible because there is a 1 unit missalignment between 2 walls for example. Noone will notice but these dudes know that with that they can do some trick.
I think it's the latter moreso than particular bugginess, but don't forget that popularity + age are a huge factor. Given enough time for a game to transcend cult status, plus for the audience to get old enough to come up with some pretty clever solutions, plus for everyone to get bored of simple speedrunning and come up with novel goals, this could reasonably happen with any game.
But I wouldn't expect this to happen with anything except for "the classics"
man, i remember when tj """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""henry"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" yoshi posting was considered cringe newbie cancer. where does the time go?
>Autistic people are being underutilized by society.
Nah, most all tech infrastructure you interact with daily is being held up by autistic people and furries.
>No building up speed for 24 hours >No parallel universes or QPUs
Surprising that he gets a much faster result with fewer A presses that is far less complicated.
Don't know about any of this speedtroony lore but you cannot turn a binary 1 and 0 action into a 0.5. I can only assume that most of you should end yourselves
There is technically an speedrunning element since time imporvements are as important as new saves. They don't want the eventual 70 stars (frick you pole) in 0 A presses TAS to be 1000 hours long.
>A-pressers still coping after getting exposed by TJ CHADry that they spend years developing methods to do exactly what Henry told them to do from the start
He won.
No, it's always been there. It's just one of the lesser known parts of the game because you only "need" them for the Red coin star and the 100 coin star of Hazy Maze Cave, but even then Speedrunners have pretty much always skipped them entirely in favor of skilled jumps. It's one of those things like the little arrow blocks in Wet-Dry town or the Snifits in Metal Cavern, Mario 64 has a lot of weird little things that tend to be forgotten.
You probably just forgot it since it's something that only appears once in the game, as a comparatively minor part in a large stage. I bet you also forgot that there's a shark enemy in the game.
>Because this improvement reduces the star from 0.5xA to 0xA, this doesn’t save an A press on the 120 star run, whose A press count remains unchanged at 13.
Does 70 star 0x Wii Virtual console work, since Wii VC has that glitch in Bowser and the fire sea where that one platform just keeps slowly crawling upward? Or is it at the expanse of a different A press?
>This video is an improvement from the previous video in which this star was collected in 0.5 A presses (https://youtu.be/kpk2tdsPh0A). >Since then, Thadortin discovered the glitch Mario’s Platform Adventure and used it to come up with a 0xA route.
Have you ever taken apart an N64 controller? The little plastic bits that lock the buttons in place have completely different shapes, it's impossible to do that
Mario 64 really is just a special game, isn't it? Does any other game share the same level of playground rumors, technical autism, speedrunning autism, worldbuilding obsession, and zoomer repellent?
Depends.
JRB should be the free-est star to get at the moment since its just a few pixels out of reach. I know hes been trying for years and hes brainstormed so many ideas, but hes also gotten a lot of outside autism support trying new ideas.
TTC has been broken over the last few years and its wheres hes made the biggest breakthrough. I think the majority of the A presses are from entering the level. There is a set of stairs leading to the clock room, and directly in line with the clock itself. Eventually a BLJ trick will be discovered that shoots Mario from the bottom of the stairs into the clock
The absolute mad lad actually did it. 0xA Watch For Rolling Rocks.
>not even up yet
OP it's been twenty years and you're still gay.
That's cool and all.
But there's still no such thing as half of an A press.
TJ """"Henry"""" Yoshi admitted he was wrong when it was explained to him.

In the realm of playing a level by itself, yeah, you either pressed the A button or you didn't. However the A button challenge takes into consideration all 120 stars, meaning that the A press used for the stage was held down from a previous A press used at a different point during the entire 120 star run.
This. The jump is code is triggered when you press the A button. Therefore, it's a full A press.
It's valid if you contextualise it as a user action, which is the action of pressing then lifting the button, irrespective of how long the button is held between press and lift.

THE MADLAD HAS MOVED ON TO RAISING BATS!

Yeah sorry, this is your L, Ganker. Fricking idiots
YWNBAW
Bullshit. I know which stream you are talking about and the troony flag spam was happening before any mention of any girls.
frick off troony Black person
this is an actual example of the rent-free gaslight
It's only them every single time
I got no idea what's happening there, he didn't even add text commentary now, and chat is just morons going "whoa omg!!"
Hopefully he'll make an actual watchable vid for room-temp IQ people like me
He made a whole essay on why he won't be commentating anymore lol. It was like 9 or 10 pages
He made a new commentary like 5 months ago.
HOO hoho
hoo hoo hoo. hoo hooo hooo
HOO HOO HOO
Wait will we have to wait 12 fricking hours for this?
Wtf? H-how many hours is this one going to last for?

if you've watched his other videos you should know how this stuff works
Finally, we use vertical speed conservation to bounce on the 4 enemies (the swooper in the rolling rocks room, the two swoopers from earlier, and the scuttlebug) and perform a glitchy ledge grab to get onto the star platform, and collect the star.
>we
It's from the video description you dunce. You do know that pannen doesn't come up with all of this himself right?
Kek at how simple it ended up being, doesn't even need commentary.
So he figured out he could use the two enemies precisely positioned to bump him up to the star, he had to smuggle the platform out of bounds to smuggle the bats in, and then did the old trick with the ball frickers to make one lift itself up high and get into position. Neat
THE MAD c**t DID IT IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES
wow that was really fast and the scuttlebug raising was still there, 10/10
HE DOES IT AGAIN
jesus fricking christ
Ummm.. TJ "Henry" Yoshisisters????? Our response???????????
He was right all along, a half press is meaningless and was just a distraction until this real version was ready.
>half-press copers astroturfing as henrysisters, as if he wouldn't agree that a no press is a no press
You lost.
He made a bat jamboree
No building up speed? No AU's? Just OoB frickery?
And bat manipulation. You see how the bat vectors kept moving while paused? I believe that's because their cycles depend on the global timer, which keeps ticking during the pause screen. That's why he was pause-buffering
That’s it?
well that was nice

>this is TAS
Did you forget what non-TAS Pannen is capable of?
Zoomers weren't here for Pannen's 15 minutes of unwanted fame.
What the FRICK, how did I manage to miss that
I thought I watched everything on his channel, I learned binary counting because of his coin limit video
I'm starting to think all 120 stars are obtainable without pressing A
>Wing Mario Over the Rainbow has entered the chat
I'm starting to think 119 stars can be grabbed without pressing A
A couple are definitely impossible. the one across from rainbow ride at least
Rainbow ride is the least of his worries
What is he going to do about the 8 coins in the secret sky level?
that's the one I mean, that one is totally impossible and so i don't think he even bothers trying to figure it out
Unless he finds some groundbreaking cannon glitch , yeah this star's gonna be dead in the water for a really long time
From what I gather the current final plan is a 70 star 0x continuous TAS, which is lacking only some way to skip the pole for N64 and I don't remember what star doesn't work in the remake where the pkatforms are fricked, and if someone happens to find some new shit we check what's done already.
There has to be a way to teleport Marior to the HOLP.
That would require Mario to somehow hold himself
That sounds oddly possible all things considered. I mean they are already holding bobomb explosions somehow.
I thnk the game explicitly checks if the object Mario is trying to grab is grabbable (ie. not himself), so I imagine the only way around it would be to somehow corrupt the game. However, at that point, you might straight up find ACE exploits instead.
>ACE exploits
Me imagine ACE with a button restriction is pretty useless.
Mario somehow holding himself sounds saner than 3/4 of the shit the ABC dudes found
this vid explains it the best

Mario 64 is the most powerful Mario brother
To think the simplest answer was breaking the elevator out.
Legit feel bad for henry, that guy can't comment anywhere with everyone memeing on him. such a cruel fate for one misguided comment years ago..
He's a good sport about it
I mean to be fair he built an entire fricking career off of that one comment
homie how is virtual bullying real? Literally just turn off your monitor
I don't think he actually gives a shit
He's an attention prostitute so it's cool.
If he was actually bothered by it he would have just changed his username
He got popular because of it and was able to develop a small channel that he would otherwise not be able to.
he already got over it

Anyone know more videos in this genre? "Showing how a video game works by doing absurdly weird thingsin it to push mechanics to the brink."
The only other ones i love are the darkviperau pacifict GTAV playtrought, he spends 12+ on each mission to push npcs around to kill eachother. Nothing on par with mario's parrarel universes though.
>The only other ones i love are the darkviperau pacifict GTAV playtrought, he spends 12+ on each mission to push npcs around to kill eachother.
Eyezayar has a pacifist playthrough for RDR2 he's working on in much the same vein.
There was a guy who did similar content for paper mario. Stryder7x. But he has seemingly vanished.
IIRC he got Twitter-cancelled by his ex GF and hasn't been on the internet since.
Offff course.
Happens way too often to channels I enjoy.
Well goddammit, story?

How fitting that Mario gets awesome breakdowns for his respective 3D and 2D masterpieces. All is well with the world.

There was the paper mario guy but he got cancelled by his crazy ex.
I miss him, bros.
Yeah, he was my favorite autist. Shame because he seemed more socially aware than most the other frickers doing this.
Stryder? What happened with him exactly?
I don't have the notes but the usual:
>"Guy breaks up with crazy ex"
>"Crazy ex cries wolf on social media because she is crazy and butthurt"
>"Guy gets dogpiled by white knights and sjws so he recedes from the internet"
He's in the video, and still required to get the star.

there's a bunch more but I forgor

his foid stirred shit up so he jumped ship, probably for the best
There's a pretty good one about finishing twilight princess with as few items as possible
Oh god I forgot how long this video takes to get to the fricking point
this guy does good roller coaster tycoon vids
Stryder7x and Marcel Vos are the pannenkoek of Paper Mario and Roller Coaster Tycoon respectively. Bismuth does an incredible job of breaking down speed runs step by step for a variety of games because the research he does is often contributed by the people that do those runs. The 5 hour documentary on the A button challenge is a pretty good example of that.
>there are rollercoaster tycoon icebergs
well goodbye real world, i have some youtube to watch
>stryder
i checked his channel last week and seems dead, then checked his twitter and his last post was about some allegation drama i did not care to read
Crazy ex made up bullshit and cancelled him. Was posted earlier in the thread if you care at all but he still has good videos if you like that style of video.
https://www.youtube.com/@SpiritOfTheLaw
This guy's videos are usually a little more practical, but still delve into the "pointlessly detailed information" territory. Also I'm pretty sure he's some financial genius or something because he gets extremely detailed about economic stuff
https://www.youtube.com/@T-West
And this guy's videos tend to have more impractical information, but are also more detailed.

Still, that's almost possible to watch straight through.

I'm very happy that you posted this, because it perfectly captures everything that's wrong with the average (see: moronic) Ganker poster. You had a completely moronic take about something that didn't even exist, and felt that was a good post to make. Is there any other person who had a single comment make them so famous?
Me.
I guess there are cases like the red shirt guy from that one blizzcon event
If Pannen just showed the comment and ended it there then TJ "Henry" Yoshi wouldn't have been as big a meme. What sells it is that Pannen followed it up with an Austin Powers meme to frame the entire rest of the video as a response to prove half presses exist.
cash me outside

You can do that if you press the button before turning on your computer and keeping it pressed while turning it on.
SOUL: building up immense speed to access QPUs, delicately exploiting syncing speed to gracefully land at the star
SOULESS: repositioning bats with a shameless nostalgia bait at the end with scuttlebug home shifting
SUPERSOVL: Breaking a platform out of bounds and smuggling based swoopers into position.
Lmao this moron doesn't even know hot to jump imagine doing all that shit when he could've just jumped to the star
I went to high school with Scott. Had a few classes with him, from what I remember he was a genius autist and all around friendly guy. Glad people still like his videos. Here, have some kino: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKxHB-HMuKo
Are you the asian guy? Holy based.
Cosmo Wright? What the frick is wrong with you you heckin bigot? Deadnaming is not welcome here. You. Are. Not. Welcome. Here.
>he doesn't know
Cosmo actually de-transitioned recently.

It's real, shockingly.

homie what the frick are you on about
SOVL before Black folk ruined it
This is an amazing find, someone needs to show this to him
Also it's oddly nostalgic for me, I was in a bunch of AP classes in highschool and one kid in my classes similarly ended up becoming a somewhat popular Mario speedrunning autist, it really is a small world
And man I wish I tried harder in school because I was one of the laziest students in those advanced classes, it really is only the people who get straight As in them who end up going places in life. I wonder where all those old friends are now
They live in the days of promises we’ve forgotten

he sounds based and redpilled if you ask me
>cuck

trannies are stuck in a 2015 - 2018 loop forever lmao
He probably just doesn't want to get Stryder7x-ified, if you know what I mean.
Shit sucks but this is what advanced autism does to people.
where?
Trying to redefine an entire language based on the delusional fantasies of gay morons?
should have phrased that better
"asked to" was more what I was trying to get across
Meh, I can differentiate between Pannen the TASer and Pannen the Alphabet Person. And I don't give a rat ass to the latter.
lol cuck chud
>waaahhh he didn't completely destroy himself
yes the situation sucks but most people can't afford to ruin themselves trying to fight it.
fricking scuttlebugs, how do they work
Pretty straightforward, they lunge at you if you enter a certain radius around their home, unless you do it from another room, in which case they lunge forward. Repeatedly entering and exiting the radius lets you reset their lunges and make them happen at the apex of a previous one thus raising the scuttlebug.
i was so confused but when the bats came back into play man that was cool
>Zero PU bullshit used
What a plot twist
It took almost 8 years. I kneel ABC crew and pannenkoek
Man, imagine the day when some sweaty nerd finally manages to do a 0 jumps run of Mario 64, that'll be something
what is it about mario 64 that attracts autism?
Let Me Reddit Her was soulless
TJ """"henry"""" Yoshi was thrust into unfortunate circumstances and turned into a joke
There's no such thing as a half keypress, so this trick saves nothing.
dang
He's jumping. To jump you have to press A. No whatever autistic reasoning he has for it not being a press doesn't count. A press is a press.
>Building up speed for twelve hours and traveling through PUs is now completely obsolete
It will forever live on the heart of everyone who saw that video before today.
That technique is still used for other stars.
IT JUST ISN'T THE SAME
It may have applications our pea brains have yet to consider.
>he doesn't know
PUs are relevant to the WR any% TAS but doesn't need that much speed
Is Mario 64 particularly buggy, or is it just that based autists have decided to push the limits of that game much more than other games?
>or is it just that based autists have decided to push the limits of that game much more than other games?
But I wouldn't expect this to happen with anything except for "the classics"
man, i remember when tj """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""henry"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" yoshi posting was considered cringe newbie cancer. where does the time go?
>troony shitposter or newbie attempting to make revisionist claims for no reason
You love to see it.
oh frick you, don't pretend this wasn't considered "e-celeb shit" you lying fricking c**t
i hate autistic people so much
Autistic people are being underutilized by society. We need to tap into this power
>Autistic people are being underutilized by society.
Nah, most all tech infrastructure you interact with daily is being held up by autistic people and furries.
Not for long
They are all being traded out for cheaper H1B pajeets
>Implying the pajeets aren't furries as well
have a nice day
someday i will but you'll still be autistic
You should learn to love yourself.
Reminder any "man" under 5'7 should transition
every wyt boi should transition and serve black gods
Good thing I'm like 171 cm
So that's another A press down. Did he ever figure out how to get into TTC?
>No building up speed for 24 hours
>No parallel universes or QPUs
Surprising that he gets a much faster result with fewer A presses that is far less complicated.
that's what happens when someone finds a new exploit
Yeah, I just feel a little sad now that the old video is completely invalidated.
Don't be sad it's half-over, be glad if half-happened.
>bat AND scuttlebug jamboree
It was there all along... we just....... didn't understand it at the time.....
more like half an a suck amirite
Don't know about any of this speedtroony lore but you cannot turn a binary 1 and 0 action into a 0.5. I can only assume that most of you should end yourselves
Dingus
>I'm completely uninformed on the subject but I care enough to announce it to everyone

hes literally world champion speedrunner of watch for rolling rocks 0 A press runs
do it faster, b***h
There is technically an speedrunning element since time imporvements are as important as new saves. They don't want the eventual 70 stars (frick you pole) in 0 A presses TAS to be 1000 hours long.
There is literally no reason someone would dedicate so much time to this other than autism. This is pure, genuine concentrated autism, and I love it

although wasn't this one already labeled as "outdated" a little while ago with a faster 0.5x solution?
>using the new glitch Mario's Platform Adventure
I love the names they give to this shit
I don't follow wherever the ABC talks about strats and developments, is there anything new about the fabled pole skip?
For the JRB treasure chest star, could they use a grabbable shell to clone something useful?
They already solved it
Last I saw it was at 0.5x.
>A-pressers still coping after getting exposed by TJ CHADry that they spend years developing methods to do exactly what Henry told them to do from the start
He won.
I never thought I'd see the day
I don't even remember the moving platform with 4 buttons in mario 64. DId they remove it for the ds version or something?
No, it's in the DS version as well.
> I bet you also forgot that there's a shark enemy in the game
yup
HOW MANY REMAIN?!
>Because this improvement reduces the star from 0.5xA to 0xA, this doesn’t save an A press on the 120 star run, whose A press count remains unchanged at 13.
>13 - 0.5 = 13
Henry was right
Is there any hope of reducing the count further?
TTC entry 0xA is on the way
All focus is on the pole in BOTFS IIRC. With that 70 star 0x N64 is possible. I think they were trying to make the bully thing work there as well.
Does 70 star 0x Wii Virtual console work, since Wii VC has that glitch in Bowser and the fire sea where that one platform just keeps slowly crawling upward? Or is it at the expanse of a different A press?
the latter.
Damn. I've been watching Pannen on youtube since his days of the Mystery Goomba
Wii VC does kindof suck though, if it's not that beautiful gray cartridge does it really count?
70 star is possible in WiiVC. Noone likes it.
Anybody know what ever happened to Siglemic
The most forced Gankereddit meme to exist.
>t. Henry
Sorry you will be forgotten now, but the ABC is forever.
>This video is an improvement from the previous video in which this star was collected in 0.5 A presses (https://youtu.be/kpk2tdsPh0A).
>Since then, Thadortin discovered the glitch Mario’s Platform Adventure and used it to come up with a 0xA route.
Apologize.
Nice
Parallel universes aren't real it's literally just overflow
Why doesn't Mario take squash damage from that?
Probably magnets
Holy fricking shit
That's a literal game changer
nice
>Remove A button
>Replace with second B button
Is Pannen moronic why doesn't he just do this?
Have you ever taken apart an N64 controller? The little plastic bits that lock the buttons in place have completely different shapes, it's impossible to do that
>Scratch the A off with a file or whatever is lying around
>Now its just blank button
There that should work
Mario 64 really is just a special game, isn't it? Does any other game share the same level of playground rumors, technical autism, speedrunning autism, worldbuilding obsession, and zoomer repellent?
Pokemon Red/Blue.
F
TJ Henry Yoshi... you can finally rest now....
Good job everybody, this is autism to the max level
TTC, BitFS and JRB will crumble soon.
How soon is "soon"? End of year?
But you need to press the A button to do backwards long jump....
This is a TAS right??
you read the description right??
immediately checked Ganker as soon as i saw it in my subscription box
