I can't get myself to play more than an hour into the game. The world is just bland and drab. I get that it's supposed to be that way but what little I played of fallout 3 felt like it had more soul despite also being a similar theme.
Man despite its green caca filter F3 had atomosphere that NV's pee pee filter or 4's could not capture, it really felt like some fricked bleak post apocalyptic world
this is true >NV felt like the creatures/enemies were more plentiful AND dangerous >3 feels like the wasteland is dangerous and bleak >4 you have to mod to get both aspects
4 is still better than both tho
mods are like plugins with most games now >you want to change something >5 mins or less
doesn't make the game worse...
with AI, in 10 years I'm sure we'll see customizable content the likes the world could never imagine...

what content is better than content made by and for the players who want it the most?
game devs will always be the entire development cycle behind "the curve" >mods can make great games legendary >and bad games good >and mediocre games better

how about games that aren't shit >but FO3 and NV mods
they were okay games when they were released, mods add to them, they weren't a steaming pile of shit without them like FO4
Do you get paid for this?

hindsight bias >we remember these retro OMG GRAET GAYMES better than they actually were >modern times have shaped entertainment quickly and with high levels of bespoke >modding capacity like it is today wasn't even an option to fix the rose-tinted glasses we used to wear
it's like the flintlock rifle, microwave oven and the washing machine of entertainment
we didn't know how awesome it was because there wasn't something so awesome before it existed

NV was my first FO game 3 months after it dropped on 360..
It changed my perspective on video games for sure >3 was atmospheric and fun IMO >NV was like 3 with tons of mods
Both games are severely outdated, clunky and well past their shelf-life
don't even get me started on isometric/turn-based RPGs
You know what's funny? Todd made a bet prior to the release of TES III with one of his programmers that the Xbox version of Morrowind would outsell the PC version, and guess how the bet turned out.
By far. Settlements lend a lot to the game. Too bad bethesda hardly makes games so a half implemented good idea never truly gets capitalized on in a timely sequel. Settlements are probably a one and done thing.
You are a MORON
If you were just a random vault dweller and the main quest didnt exist, it would be the highest rated in the series.
Why does this game have a 255 mod limit? I LITERALLY can't deal with this struggle...
does fo4 not have esl files or whatever it is that overcomes the limit

Mod it into a zombie survival game
5x ballistic damage (incoming/outgoing)
5x radiation damage
>oh frick
see
scratch that, it's 15x radiation damage
>if you don't shelter-in-place during a radstorm or take rad-x every few minutes
>game over
actual fallout

only problem was that it was set 2 centuries after WW3 while looking like the bombs just dropped yesterday
yes we get it boomer youre still not over your lore being raped 18 years after its subsequent release & retcon who cares.
>it doesn't have to make sense
Yeah bleak atmosphere blah blah blah IT WAS BORING
this is true
>NV felt like the creatures/enemies were more plentiful AND dangerous

4 is still better than both tho
>4 needs mods to get the good aspects of earlier games but it's better than them
Bethesda games require mods to be remotely playable. So the modded result is all that matters.

fallout 3 has the greatest atmosphere of any video game, it's unmatched
If you can’t get a single hour into the game you don’t get to comment on the open world.
It's garbage, cope
all right
go back to playing genshin impact then
uh sure? GI has the most beautifully and masterfully crafted open world of any game.
the best part are the ASSaultrons
fallout 76 is
It's he gayest game in the series
>It's he gayest game in the series
And that's just one of the positives
Aids is still the worst thing in a post apocalyptic world
No thats 76.
Just got back from the true pleb filter. Rescuing smiley from the Toxic Caves. That's a true skill curve.
3>76>4>>>NV>>>>>BoS>>2>Tactics>1
new vagas shills are coming
