Zidane's mindset is much closer to an incel with how sexually assertive he is. Cloud and Squall seem to hide intimate feelings due to it being a soft, weak side which is not how an incel thinks.
I can give Cloud a pass, he tried talking to girls on his own an tried to be a success even if he failed. Squall was a genuine fricking loser who sits in the corner while everyone is having fun hoping a girl will talk to him, then fall head over heals for the first girl who does. Zidane was a chad.
FF9 had a deep story and great characters. It even had secrets that people didn't discover until 14 years later after the game was released. I would say it's the best FF, even better that the overrated slop that FFVII was.

Going back to straight up fantasy after 7 & 8's modern/futuristic style was a breath of fresh air.
