Making a Pokémon game and I am planning to add zirca verse content.
In a nutshell, you fight clones of zircaverse characters in the reborn based area. Their teams are nerfed to mini-boss tier, which by the late game is not much access to legendaries, shill mons, and the new power source (overdrive). Also the zirca clones still follow the game rules so no having more than 6 mons or multiple megas.
it can alternatively have a Dark terastalization to become Pure Dark, tho
The equivalent to Thanatos is Tyrantiar-Mega-Overdrive.
Overdrive is an boss exclusive mechanic like a second mega. Non Mega’s do have overdrives as well. They gain an improved bst and a new exclusive ability
The lore behind this is the evil organization you are tasked with dealing with have some mad scientist working for them, who creates all the overdrives. The Thanatos you fight is a clone and not on the real grim. Overdrives are dangerous and really hard to control, so only the higher ups on the organization can handle them.
Thanatos in this game has a stat spread of Tyranitar with more bulk and power, but slower. Its ability combines Sand Force and solid rock. It also removed your team’s dark type weaknesses (This is an all doubles game so that is very relevant).
One other thing is “Grim” will have special dialouge when you use Breloom. Although a lot of Grim’s other mons deal with Breloom pretty well. I’d rather use Banded Haxorus with Mold breaker CC (it actually learns this in SwShit) as it bypasses solid rock and the true dark aura.
The other zirca elite 4 will show up as late game mini-bosses, although they are not as noteworthy. The only other noteworthy addition is Xos who is a secret boss in the post game areas.

Making a fangame probably requires around a year of dedicated efforts. In addition RPG Maker XP is really old, ugly, and annoying to develop with.

Drawing is hard, it's a skill I wish I had. But yeah if we were going to make our own edgy fangame making fun of other edgy fangames everything would have to be done from scratch. Problem with doing it as a team is if one person left, then production would be halted instantly.

I can draw half decently with reference pictures. However, I’ve stagnated because I’m entirely too lazy to learn anatomy and other crucial art skills. We do post the zirca stuff every general but it feels more obligatory than anything. Any of the zirca ocs people made (i.e. Anna) can also be adapted to any region.
I agree, the game taking place in Zirca would miss the point entirely. Maybe at most include remote locations and characters, but that's it.

Actually I believed that the creator states that Zirca 2036 is a closed AU between them and their friends where they dump scenarios just for the fun of it. If they're that serious, they could've made it an long running shonen comic similar to Pokemon Adventures/Special (but with far darker tone, insane human power ups, and gorey rapes). It's like with Pokémon Reborn online league, or with Pokémon Clover as a whole; the only difference is that the creator have no plans to go beyond what they and their friends did on Twitter.
We realize it's easier making fanfics mocking the very concept as opposed to be serious about it. The whole point of edgeverse was to poke fun at all of the other edgy creations within the Pokemon Fandom and nothing else; going beyond that pretty much stoop us to their level

Making a Pokémon game and I am planning to add zirca verse content.
In a nutshell, you fight clones of zircaverse characters in the reborn based area. Their teams are nerfed to mini-boss tier, which by the late game is not much access to legendaries, shill mons, and the new power source (overdrive). Also the zirca clones still follow the game rules so no having more than 6 mons or multiple megas.
add a tyranitarite c that turns your tyranitar into a corrupted version, just like Thanatos
warning: warranty void if a fun guy sweeps your team
it can alternatively have a Dark terastalization to become Pure Dark, tho
The equivalent to Thanatos is Tyrantiar-Mega-Overdrive.
Overdrive is an boss exclusive mechanic like a second mega. Non Mega’s do have overdrives as well. They gain an improved bst and a new exclusive ability
The lore behind this is the evil organization you are tasked with dealing with have some mad scientist working for them, who creates all the overdrives. The Thanatos you fight is a clone and not on the real grim. Overdrives are dangerous and really hard to control, so only the higher ups on the organization can handle them.
Thanatos in this game has a stat spread of Tyranitar with more bulk and power, but slower. Its ability combines Sand Force and solid rock. It also removed your team’s dark type weaknesses (This is an all doubles game so that is very relevant).

One other thing is “Grim” will have special dialouge when you use Breloom. Although a lot of Grim’s other mons deal with Breloom pretty well. I’d rather use Banded Haxorus with Mold breaker CC (it actually learns this in SwShit) as it bypasses solid rock and the true dark aura.
The other zirca elite 4 will show up as late game mini-bosses, although they are not as noteworthy. The only other noteworthy addition is Xos who is a secret boss in the post game areas.

Drawing is hard, it's a skill I wish I had. But yeah if we were going to make our own edgy fangame making fun of other edgy fangames everything would have to be done from scratch. Problem with doing it as a team is if one person left, then production would be halted instantly.

I don’t even post said ai art for various reasons, I just hoard it all for my personal viewing pleasure.

Plus some people just like making fun of the cringe, and that come up with our own OC donut steels was also cringy and they weren’t into the fan region discussion. We do post the zirca stuff every general but it feels more obligatory than anything. Any of the zirca ocs people made (i.e. Anna) can also be adapted to any region.

Actually I believed that the creator states that Zirca 2036 is a closed AU between them and their friends where they dump scenarios just for the fun of it. If they're that serious, they could've made it an long running shonen comic similar to Pokemon Adventures/Special (but with far darker tone, insane human power ups, and gorey rapes). It's like with Pokémon Reborn online league, or with Pokémon Clover as a whole; the only difference is that the creator have no plans to go beyond what they and their friends did on Twitter.
