Let's say if that wasn't the case, would you really think pro-gamers would move to it?

i was reading the "pro-gamer platform" as in "in favor of gamers" not explicitly pro play

Are the Intel GPUs any good? I would be happy to break the Nvidia/AMD duopoly.

Intel is basically getting their feet wet in the gpu market. They are ok. But not better than amd or nvidia.

If you're broke and need the cheaper option.... then Intel is fine.

        >Intel is basically getting their feet wet in the gpu market
Intel have been shipping more gpus than Nvidia and AMD combined for a decade. Their gpu on their cpus is bigger than the actual cpu part. They aren't just getting started.

            >dgpu =/= igpus
The undelrying design principles (and to a degree, design itself) remains the same. For a company with the talent pool, experience and manufacturing capability of intel building a standalone gpu (again it should be noted) should not be as difficult as they are making it. Intel is some small company plz understand they are a behemoth with 10 years of gpu design under their belt.

Intel gpus are only good if you run linux.
Running them with windows is a joke.

I know its boring take but at the moment it is legitimately your best opinion.
AMD CPU, Nvidia GPU. considering that Intel has had integrated graphics for longer than anybody you'd think their graphics drivers would actually not suck yet. oh well, one day they'll figure it out.

I was going to wait on the Nvidia 5000 series but I might buy a 4080 super specifically for Dragon's Dogma 2. I'll buy Intel if they ever start making really competitive high end cards. I'll never buy an AMD product.

Most performance for least amount of money AMD.
For the most performance no matter the cost Nvidia.
For frankenstein build and novelty Intel.

When you think about it there's really no reason to ever pick Intel's Arc for anything. They are not that cheap, they are weak, have issues with emulation and older games in general... So what is the point? A weak card to play modern games that it can't even handle? Makes no sense.

      Anonymous

      >no reason

literally the only one competing at value, sure perf sucks on older games but the raw power of it makes it playable since you can lose 200 frames from a 400 frame game from 15 years ago or whaever.

That being said you need re-bar to make intel worth

Don't care, I only care for price/performance ratio.

Actually I have 6700XT. Although, I must say never had any problems with Nvidia cards and only few minor with AMD ones (no hard crashes).
I still have problem with my card or my monitor, dunno.
When I'm on some mostly white webpage or screen and I highlight (like image preview) some dark content, it creates like artificial scan lines which is very distracting. Dunno how to deal with it other than boosting my contrast/brightness and I fricking like my monitors more on a dim side
