Anything above 1080p for games is a meme. 4k is only for workspace or watching movies. The greatest games of all time are not designed with 4k in mind.

They literally don't make games like they used to. Halo Infinite looks worse than Battlefront 2017, and both games force TAA. Goes to show how, although TAA is blurry, the bigger problem is awful developers.

Literally any of these "anti-aliasing" or "volumetric lighting" BS terms that have come into use since like 2014 are literally just memes that nobody cares about. More like the resolution to use if you want more than 40FPS on a 4090/7800X3D in new games.
DLSS from more than 1440p and it's just fine.
At 1440p if I turn on DLSS I'm getting more than 120FPS in the same game the 4K gay is now playing at 80FPS, plus I'd rather have a 1440P OLED than a regular 4k monitor which is what was available last year a the top end(1440p/240HZ/OLED). I also don't need a 5 series graphics card upgrade next year like the 4K gay.

FPS matters far more than resolution for this. More FPS = more recent sample frames = less TAA blur and ghosting. Higher render resolution is more beneficial for MSAA and FX/SMAA because the edges will be more accurately detected and blurred.
I can max out settings on Battlefront 2017 at 165Hz and it's still not ideal (1440p too). I'd say it's the bare minimum of what I would call playable once you've been playing for 20 minutes and your brain can ignore it. It's completely disconnected from reality to expect people to get 165Hz+ on release day in these newer unoptimized games.
Just turn on dlss and framegen (that is only supported on our latest generation - upgrade now!) bro.

A meme until you're watching 1080p movies on a 1440p screen because movies aren't released in 1440p so looks worse, and 4k scales nicely with 1080p media, not as good as a native 1080p monitor but better than a 1440p one.
