Which happens to you, the "set up modded skyrim, cum to sex mods, feel ashamed and don't do it for a year" part, or "spend weeks setting up mods only to never actually play the game" post?
The former is because of simply post nut clarity. It dawns on you just how much time and effort you've just put into fapping to an unbelievably odd and degenerate situation all just to have 1 orgasm that you could have just as easily had in a normal 5 minute fap session, and you leave the game in shame (until the horniess slowly comes back over the course of a year and you do it all over again)
The latter happens because getting mods to work is almost like a game in itself. It's a puzzle, and once you solve the puzzle you get bored and don't care about it any more.

Starfield is such an egregious offender here. For the life of my I can not understand what it is doing to be so demanding. RDR2 online looks at LEAST as good, imo much better, RUNS far better, and it does all of that with dynamic grass/trees, and multiplayer, in an actually seamless world. SF still struggles to sustain 60 on the same system, even at lowest quality settings (half of which are indiscernible from high/ultra, and don't even affect performance one way or another). Every time I walk through grass or a bush in SF I remember that Skyrim just recently got dynamic grass mods.
Console trash has always been bad, but we're in a situation where the 'luxury' of specified hardware still turns out trash like Jedi whatever that not only upscaled sub 720 resolutions, but framerates still fell through the already embarrassing low 30fps target into the teens. It's like all mastery and competency has evaporated from the industry. We're still gaming at resolutions and WORSE framerates as if the lowest common denominator were PS360s.

It's using more than 2000 mods, so you are combining thousands of hours of work of hundreds of people that do that with passion and without a time limit.
No one is gonna spend weeks making super realistic cheese 2k in the bethesda office since that is time that could be used to more important things.
For example there is a mod being developed for monster hunter world that customizes every single weapon so they aren't ugly like in the base game, the devs didn't have time and put those resources into the gameplay and monsters but since this man has all the time in the world he can do it even if it takes 3 years.

At least I'll be able to make Vault Meat. Haven't found a hair style for New Vegas that resembles hers, nor any preset. Plus, I never played the DLC, only the base game on PS4 when it released in 2015.
The 3D pubes addon for SOS works wonders for that kinda stuff, shame the colours always come out a bit wonky with it

The other pubes mods seem to work fine as long as you mess with the alpha a bit to make the colour a bit less flashy
It's mostly mods that rely on the MCM to set colours rather than Racemenu that seem to run into this issue
I had the same issue with Slavetats (back when I was using it for blushing) and a few other similar ones, where they just give you a moronic colour table with 10 picks and that's it

I got addicted to modding, making an elin cause I'm not a big fan of ATF e-girl mods. Bodyslide makes it easy though I will say elins look more out of place compared to ATF e-girls which fit more in the world. I'm still working on it and not the best at character creation, you can make them more humanlike, bigger breasts, thighs, etc, elin remastered if you care.
I'm still modding so I'll have to fix that stuff later. I basically installed some random enb just to test mods and I don't have the best computer.

Are you saying this in 2023? Because back in 2017 when I played someone uploaded picrel and I spent months trying to figure out all the stuff required just to make this face. In the end I made a character that looked far superior due to this frustration so I say it worked out. Modding in general has been like this though, especially FFXIV. Too many people with actual skill/do 3D modelling for a living love to lord it over people, refuse to share presets, or share the preset but don't give their load order and act like you're the problem. But like with Ganker's no spoonfeeding policy, it does help you in the end.
Don't get me wrong, I ended up figuring a lot out myself.

Yes and no, you have to get a sync code from their discord auth to start using it
Then you exchange codes with people you want to pair with to automatically install their mods and show them to you.
Theres also syncshells where you can pair with multiple at once, and Balmung has a few big public ones that anybody can just join and get bombarded with horrors beyond comprehension.

Legally it's a pretty grey area because it depends on what is being used. If you're ripping models from a game to then sell, then yeah you may get in trouble. Like how big companies randomly take certain mods / romhacks down that use all copyrighted assets. But if you model clothes and shit on your own to use in the game and sell that mod to other people? I doubt they'd have much of a legal case against you. They could still ban you from the game because they can ban you for literally anything they want based off most EULA's. But legality? Eh.

I was there at its infancy and left around 2022 so I don't know how it is now but I'll give you an example. A modder in FFXIV would post something on discord like picrel as a mod release. People would see it thinking it was a new outfit/hair mod yet they'd be advertising a weapon glam or summon glam or some tiny israeliteelry piece. Then when people ask if they will release their outfit they refuse. Far too many professionals used it as a forum to show off their work and never actually wanted to meaningfully contribute to the community. Skyrim was like this x5 but that was also years ago so I can only imagine it's gotten much much worse.

you can make the game into anything you want, so yes even if you dont like the concept of vanilla Skyrim. the combat is the hardest to fix since vanilla skyrim combat is fricking godawful, but everything else is fantastic or can be modded to become fantastic.

these were from some mod called Fort Knox which, while visually cool, didnt actually have any content in it, so I got rid of it.
I guess its just some fancy backdrop and excuse to have modern clothes, but they did add a shitton of stuff in the mod so it was kind of impressive.

A lot of the combat animation stuff is aggressively paywalled. The amount of dependencies makes Sexlab stuff look plug-and-play in comparison.
I don’t know what exactly causes it, but OSA animations start almost seamless and SL ones very obviously don’t. It’s a bit annoying but well worth the other upsides for me.
Mod?
Babodialogue, can’t recommend it enough. Main features are making the people react to your type of clothing (loose, bikini armor, transparent, latex, etc.) and adding about a dozen very extensive, dialogue-heavy sex events.

OStim is fine, but its core strength is the flexibility of animations. I can easily go from giving a handjob to doggy style within the same scene. That makes it great for creating good individual scenes.
However, it has next to no gameplay integration and it really only supports 1-on-1 vanilla sex.
Sexlab has worse animation flexibility, but makes up for it by having more animations, more variety of animations, and much, much better gameplay integration.
Even when I use OStim, I still have SexLab installed because it does so much more than OStim that it's unreal.

How so? If you use OPrivacy, it integrates seamlessly with Skyrim's relationship system. There's OAroused, ONPCs and Acheron/Yamete Kudasai too.

Lots of shit is AE compatible, but not AE integrated. For example, Bone Dogs introduced in AE aren’t compatible with Creatures Framework, but I don’t believe it causes a CTD as it’s skeleton is just reused from SE.
I think .net script framework and whatever requires it is the only major SE holdout. Even improved camera was ported, tons of people were waiting on that
AE. I started modding recently and every mod I want has been updated to 1.6.640. some of them still offer versions for SE but the general concensus seems to be shifting towards AE.
I never had any problems getting events to fire. The radiant ones are especially simple, just fast travel to any roadside tower/fort/camp, walk 5 seconds and you’ll run into a road event. Tweak the percentages in the options if you feel like it’s not happening enough. The only real problem I ever encountered, aside from a bit of jank when it came to triggering the later stages of the orc events, was getting the markath guards to molest me because I had accumulated so much fame, when I told them “no I may dress like a prostitute but I’m really the Dragonborn”, they actually believed me. But a little fame reset in the options and that was it.

I didn't install sex mods and have been playing it for a good three weeks. Sex mods ruin it because you essentially end up defiling the world of Skyrim and it's not even pleasurable. Sex mods are all janky with zero weight, just animations that are obviously completely alien to the rest of the game. You just creampied Lydia, she resets back to standing next to you and goes back to her old "Yes Thane?" script as if that incredibly intimate experience didn't happen because it didn't really, it's just a janky animation.

It won't be better than Starfield in that regard, that game have everything you will need for exquisite porn mods with sole exception of ability to take prisoners, you can already build a jail in your ship or disable active combatants, it just miss the "capture" trigger that will move them to your ship.

Starfield is such an egregious offender here. For the life of my I can not understand what it is doing to be so demanding. RDR2 online looks at LEAST as good, imo much better, RUNS far better, and it does all of that with dynamic grass/trees, and multiplayer, in an actually seamless world. SF still struggles to sustain 60 on the same system, even at lowest quality settings (half of which are indiscernible from high/ultra, and don't even affect performance one way or another). Every time I walk through grass or a bush in SF I remember that Skyrim just recently got dynamic grass mods.
Console trash has always been bad, but we're in a situation where the 'luxury' of specified hardware still turns out trash like Jedi whatever that not only upscaled sub 720 resolutions, but framerates still fell through the already embarrassing low 30fps target into the teens. It's like all mastery and competency has evaporated from the industry. We're still gaming at resolutions and WORSE framerates as if the lowest common denominator were PS360s.

It's using more than 2000 mods, so you are combining thousands of hours of work of hundreds of people that do that with passion and without a time limit.
No one is gonna spend weeks making super realistic cheese 2k in the bethesda office since that is time that could be used to more important things.
For example there is a mod being developed for monster hunter world that customizes every single weapon so they aren't ugly like in the base game, the devs didn't have time and put those resources into the gameplay and monsters but since this man has all the time in the world he can do it even if it takes 3 years.

Lots of hair mods have weird colors due to the fact that the textures have some built-in color. That's why, if you try to shoot for albino-style white hair, some hair textures (notably, the salt and wind ones) make it so the hair is at best a light blonde.

Bodyslide makes it easy though I will say elins look more out of place compared to ATF e-girls which fit more in the world. Are you saying this in 2023? Because back in 2017 when I played someone uploaded picrel and I spent months trying to figure out all the stuff required just to make this face. In the end I made a character that looked far superior due to this frustration so I say it worked out. Modding in general has been like this though, especially FFXIV. Too many people with actual skill/do 3D modelling for a living love to lord it over people, refuse to share presets, or share the preset but don't give their load order and act like you're the problem. But like with Ganker's no spoonfeeding policy, it does help you in the end.

Legally it's a pretty grey area because it depends on what is being used. If you're ripping models from a game to then sell, then yeah you may get in trouble. Like how big companies randomly take certain mods / romhacks down that use all copyrighted assets. But if you model clothes and shit on your own to use in the game and sell that mod to other people? I doubt they'd have much of a legal case against you. They could still ban you from the game because they can ban you for literally anything they want based off most EULA's. But legality? Eh.

I was there at its infancy and left around 2022 so I don't know how it is now but I'll give you an example. A modder in FFXIV would post something on discord like picrel as a mod release. People would see it thinking it was a new outfit/hair mod yet they'd be advertising a weapon glam or summon glam or some tiny israeliteelry piece. Then when people ask if they will release their outfit they refuse. Far too many professionals used it as a forum to show off their work and never actually wanted to meaningfully contribute to the community. Skyrim was like this x5 but that was also years ago so I can only imagine it's gotten much much worse.

It carries some jank from being the original one, but it still has at least quantity if not quality over OSA. Also a monopoly on animal stuff. My biggest complaint about it would be the comparatively long start-up time for animations, but old problems like stability or collision are fixed.

A lot of the combat animation stuff is aggressively paywalled. The amount of dependencies makes Sexlab stuff look plug-and-play in comparison.
I don’t know what exactly causes it, but OSA animations start almost seamless and SL ones very obviously don’t. It’s a bit annoying but well worth the other upsides for me.
Babodialogue, can’t recommend it enough. Main features are making the people react to your type of clothing (loose, bikini armor, transparent, latex, etc.) and adding about a dozen very extensive, dialogue-heavy sex events.
Still jank, but unless I'm mistaken OSA is still dogshit at anything more than 1 on 1 pairing. So if you want threesomes or whatever, SL is still better
OSA was always for vanilla 1 on 1. If you wanted anything more interesting you had to get sexlab and some of those animations were actually pretty good. Maybe in 2023 it might seem janky but at the time it was 10/10.
OStim is fine, but its core strength is the flexibility of animations. I can easily go from giving a handjob to doggy style within the same scene. That makes it great for creating good individual scenes.
However, it has next to no gameplay integration and it really only supports 1-on-1 vanilla sex.
Sexlab has worse animation flexibility, but makes up for it by having more animations, more variety of animations, and much, much better gameplay integration.
Even when I use OStim, I still have SexLab installed because it does so much more than OStim that it's unreal.

How so? If you use OPrivacy, it integrates seamlessly with Skyrim's relationship system. There's OAroused, ONPCs and Acheron/Yamete Kudasai too.

Lots of shit is AE compatible, but not AE integrated. For example, Bone Dogs introduced in AE aren’t compatible with Creatures Framework, but I don’t believe it causes a CTD as it’s skeleton is just reused from SE.
I think .net script framework and whatever requires it is the only major SE holdout. Even improved camera was ported, tons of people were waiting on that
AE. I started modding recently and every mod I want has been updated to 1.6.640. some of them still offer versions for SE but the general concensus seems to be shifting towards AE.

I never had any problems getting events to fire. The radiant ones are especially simple, just fast travel to any roadside tower/fort/camp, walk 5 seconds and you’ll run into a road event. Tweak the percentages in the options if you feel like it’s not happening enough. The only real problem I ever encountered, aside from a bit of jank when it came to triggering the later stages of the orc events, was getting the markath guards to molest me because I had accumulated so much fame, when I told them “no I may dress like a prostitute but I’m really the Dragonborn”, they actually believed me. But a little fame reset in the options and that was it.
And you actually made me read the manual for the precise orc event triggers:

my game doesn't really crash but its a bunch of mods mish mashed and poorly organized together. I have a general idea of what is overwriting what but it was put together with the mentality of "if it doesn't crash it should be fine"

modded conan exiles is beginning to be a good modded skyrim replacement.
4x as much gameplay of the best modded gameplay skyrim setup, but 1/4th as much character design depth. it even has a poser mod and sexlab equivalent. plus it has multiplayer that Just Works.

any good tutorials on bodyslide and nemesis? those are really getting on my nerves.
what's the issue with bodyslide? it's braindead unless you're fricking with outfit studio. nemesis required me to put it in windows 7 compatibility mode, but it always gave an error code I could google when I had issues.
