CS was aiming for arcade realism back when it was 1.6, but now the game is a cartoon. Why is it a cartoon? Honestly, the players die way to easily due to the increase in damage in a lot of weapons and the size of hitboxes. Geared up infantry with light arms usually don't fall over instantly after being tagged once, most people don't even realize they've been hit due to adrenaline unless it hits you somewhere very obvious or important. There are rarely any actual gunfights anymore, it's just 1 taps and angles.
Remember when players used to actually burst and strafe-dance during fights? Now it's just preaim, stop, click. I personally think if they brought back paper walls again the game would be way better off.

Shit like that makes taking any form of damage have a larger impact on the player than it should. Scouts to the stomach can do 91 damage. in 1.6 it would cap out at 55. It's really bad. AWP shots used to do less leg damage too.

I should also mention that crouch-walk spraying is really fricking gay and needs to be fixed. Any movement at all should make your aim shit, all I see are crouch ADADA spam spraying and crouch walk awping.
