If it had bikinis that is. >Armor and shield give flat AC, but put a hard limit on the AC you gain from DEX bonus. >Several classes have passives that give even more AC from other stats like INT, WIS or CHA that stack with DEX bonus - and specifically require you to forgo armor and shields in order to work. >Meanwhile there's spells and bracelets that give armor and shield AC bonuses but aren't actually considered to be ones for the purpose of getting the aforementioned bonuses - and they explicitly do not stack with AC you'd gain from wearing actual armor and shields. >Additionally you have better Touch AC than heavily armored tanks due to your defenses being based on dodging rather than taking hits.
