The vast majority of new evos for old Pokémon in the last few gens have just been modified versions of their prevos, this laziness shouldn't be surprising anymore

No one is complaining about the evos they introduced in base SV Annihilape in particular is fantastic because it changes just enough to be distinct but not to be an abomination like most of the gen 4 evos. But this shit is just trash.
