are you angry at walking sims in general or because the style of scorn is "wasted" on a walking sim, i knew of the game but didn't jump on the hype train because thats a moronic thing to do but when it came out i liked it for what it is, also i pirate all my games maybe you felt hurt because you wasted your money ,dummy
>erm no it's you that's dumb!
cool try you moronic narcissist but the game would have been better if it actually was a good game and the style wasn't wasted on it regardless of whether you had any hopes or pirated
i asked you >are you angry at walking sims in general or because the style of scorn is "wasted" on a walking sim
by your answer it seems you hate walking sims, but why would you buy a walking sim and get upset that this stylish walking sim isn't another genre and its genre is wasted on such style which conclude you are upset for no valid reason, you couldve criticized its short length or performance but you chose the moronic Ganker verdicts i played x but x is not y so x is waste because its not y
never mentioned buying anything i clearly said played keep the ad hominem shit to yourself

that was me wondering why he thinks the style is wasted on the game meaning does he hate it because he bought something he didn't like which is very common, you didn't understand anything i was trying to say, frick off back to shitposting on why you hate popular thing #2311 because its popular threads or better yet /r/gaming seems more your style

>that was me wondering
no it wasn't, you outright assumed he bought it and then blamed him for disliking the game and called him a dummy
>moron faced with the unimaginable prospect that the game he like doesn't play that very well >small brain can only translate this idea to being synonymous with saying it's too hard
is this fromslop mindrot in effect or are you just generally low iq? the game is hardly any more difficult than its contemporaries
Far Cry 5. Great music, great opening. Good concept of a story at least, that could have been better served in a TV show. Anyway, then you get to the game and it's just the typical Ubisoft tripe. Not that it's any surprise, I suppose.
>beat the first boss >get to hub city >walk into special arena fight >way too weak, get killed near instantly out of spawn >can't quit the fight >stop playing
should i go back to it? also the fact you move on the isometric plane as opposed to just straight up/down/left/right really annoyed me
The slow-mo unironically ruins this game. Imagine how lame hotline miami would be with a slow-mo button.
The game designers for this game are fricking incompetent, all we're asking them is to write some fricking good ideas and they can't be assed to do a proper job while the artists basically saved this game from being completely forgotten.
>The slow-mo unironically ruins this game. Imagine how lame hotline miami would be with a slow-mo button.
I'm glad you get it, anon. I thought I was the only one.
>get game on release >beat it on Easy, before they nerfed it >nothing worth replaying for >like 10gb of updates in the next two weeks >never find out what they were
>RUINER >Ghostrunner >The Ascent >Observer
All very simple games, yet... The atmosphere, aesthetics and soundtrack alone make them very enjoyable. Then again, I'm a massive cyberpunk gay so there's that.
As I said, it has a very simple gameplay, nothing fancy, just another top down shooter really (though very smooth at that). However, as with all the other games mentioned; all of it's secondary aspects elevate the game by alot. Also you can play the Ascent as a co-op
if you can get it on discount, go for it immediately. it's no exaggeration to call it the best-looking UE4 game, and a very solid alien cyberpunk shooter is attached to that.
The shooting aspect feels good, but the game is very repetitive. The enemy variety never expands after the beginning and the quests suck. You'll also be running between locations a lot with nothing happening (fast travel points are pretty far away from the elevator and you can't fast travel between floors). Gun balance is also quite bad iirc in a way that you'll find this cool unique gun in late game only for it to be outclassed by a generic gun you've been using this whole time. Oh and the final "boss" is really bad if you play solo.
Visually stunning, gameplay is average but the most annoying part was the very long distances you have to travel to do a missions ONLY to walk all the way back ON FOOT, to the quest giver to collect your reward
>massive cyberpunk gay
If you care about cyberpunk style, you should hate ghostrunner. This hackjob is outright mockery. One pf the most tasteless shits out there.
>Gets filtered by the game >Calls other Black folk
not that guy but the only thing that's remotely difficult is the cyberspace mini puzzles, the actual combat is piss easy and the less said about the boss fights the better

Perhaps, but you can't deny that the gameplay loop is extremely smooth and satisfying when you get it right. Though the latter of course is highly subjective.

sure but the game never really gives you the amount of enemies to flex on those moves so you always default to the bread and butter tier moves that work without having the need to use some of the powers you have

I played the demo 10 times, I didn’t buy the game.
Every effort I've made to enjoy myself in Disco Elysium has failed. The game has amazing atmosphere, the voice acting is there, skills literally talking to you is comically awesome and Kim's a great partner but I can't bring myself to finish a campaign. It's not a personal problem either because I've played and enjoyed a number of CRPGs already. Something about it doesn't click even though I want it to.
>Has a track by Susumu Hirasawa in it >Cool character design >Graphics are great despite not being very impressive
Why did the gameplay have to suck so much?
I'm probably exaggerating because I bought the game just because of the soundtrack.
But I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that the gameplay feels so slow and clunky.
I was expecting some Cyberpunk Hotline Miami and instead I had an experience Ruiner.

Sekiro
SSBB, they were so busy making it look gritty that they forgot to make it a fun game.
every game made by platinum games
shitty, floaty, piss easy combat that gets a pass because 1 it's japshit and 2 it (usually) has a nice coat of paint
The style is so wasted on this piece of shit
Their new game might do it justice
Uh oh, looks like you have terrible taste.
well you're buttfrick ugly so what you have to say doesn't really matter now does it
>n-n-no u!
not him but he WON and your troony ass LOST
herbed btw
I can't find anything that looks like a new game on the devs' twitter.
Its called final form or some shit
Fps coop game
Thanks I found it, as expected it looks very cool but we'll have to wait to see how the actual gameplay is.
>2 years hold video
> nothing else since then
Anyyytime now
Scorn is a great example. So much time put into making a really cool setting for what's basically just a fricking walking sim. Terrible.
Can't believe I waited in years of anticipation for that crap
Same I bought a series x for it. Glad I did though as playing the re games at 120hz is really good.
are you angry at walking sims in general or because the style of scorn is "wasted" on a walking sim, i knew of the game but didn't jump on the hype train because thats a moronic thing to do but when it came out i liked it for what it is, also i pirate all my games maybe you felt hurt because you wasted your money ,dummy

im not that guy anon, it's clear as day that you greatly overestimate your own intelligence
>but why would you buy
didn't
the point is the style is wasted on the genre it ended up being, no one spoke a word about buying anything except for you
never mentioned buying anything i clearly said played keep the ad hominem shit to yourself

Idk, I think Ruiner's style is part of its substance.
it's the only thing the game has going for it, but since the gameplay sucks there's nothing enjoyable being enhanced by the cool style and music
The gameplay was fun for me, maybe you need to get good.
>moron faced with the unimaginable prospect that the game he like doesn't play that very well

the gameplay is great Black person RUINER is literally one of the best cyberpunk games ever made
Dragon Quest
Fez
Blasphemous
Little Inferno
Children of Morta
Hollow Knight
Viewfinder
Doom Eternal
Why the hate on Hollow Knight and DE? both of those games were pretty fricking sick.
Nudooms are ugliest shits possible art-wise, they have no style whatsoever.
Blasphemous' art and music are phenomenal, the gameplay is alright but nothing to write home about
Far Cry 5. Great music, great opening. Good concept of a story at least, that could have been better served in a TV show. Anyway, then you get to the game and it's just the typical Ubisoft tripe. Not that it's any surprise, I suppose.
No More Heroes as a whole.
Love the games to death, but they are carried hard by their art direction
actually make every single suda game that isn't a visual novel
you couldn't tell me you like killer7's gameplay with a straight face
YOU'RE FRICKED
Most of Ruiners artworks are traced or mashed together from Persona or Overwatch.
>beat the first boss
>get to hub city
>walk into special arena fight

ruiner is way more violent and frantic than hotline miami ever was and slomo in general is cool as frick, shit taste i bet you hate max payne too
you're a fricking moron missing the point entirely, go look at a stroboscope and drool
you are a Black person but worst of all you dislike slomo and slomo is really fricking sick so frick you
hurr durr slomo is so cool and hp bars are so cool and marvel superpowers are so cool and slowing down gameplay is so cool man I'm so fricking cool
>rambles about zoomers suddenly
cool, like slomo
Ruiner has become irrelevant unlike Hotline Miami which is now considered a classic, your opinion is wrong and your tastes are shit.
i don't care about popularity, mcdonalds is popular and hotline miami is fun
>get game on release
>beat it on Easy, before they nerfed it
>nothing worth replaying for
>like 10gb of updates in the next two weeks

what a stylish waste of money it was

I would definitely ruin her if you see what I mean.
I want to ruin (my orgasm) for her...
Pure, distilled SEXO

Why?
moronic game mechanics, bad level design, only cliche and superflucious elements of cyberpunk genre on display.
Sounds to me you got pretty filtered there, chief.
filtered by what Black person?

I'd love to play more of that game but it for whatever reason never played nice with my CPU. Bricked to blue screen every damn time
Any other games where a cut girl calls you puppy?
What's a game that's max style AND substance?
Furi is the definition of this
But the style is bad, though.
style over substance games are incredibly based
unless they really play like shit or are so lackluster they can't even style well
?si=236BJxfT3xmTFuCv
the soundtrack is really good in this game. cant say the same for the gameplay
I forgot that there are tracks not made by Zamilska in here.
>substance
it has substance it's just a fun arcadey top down shooter
>based on anime where music is one of the main appeal of it
>95% of the music fricking sucks
cmon
suda worked on it btw
KILLER 7
You Black folk hyped this shit up to be the second coming of Christ but it's just a dumbed down Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
>Has a track by Susumu Hirasawa in it

it didn't

polish game dev in a nutshell
did they fix the micro-stutters when you use charged spin attack? i remember if you dashed into a boss while spinning you deal giga damage but each hit would stutter the game and all the "smoothness" completely evaporates. and it was the strongest move in the game when i played it, so it sucked even more
>but each hit would stutter the game
If it's each hit, it seems to be intentional frame-stop meme.
>charged spin attack?
there are no charged spin attacks in ghostrunner
killing enemies is instant and fits very well into the games pacing
yeah my bad I failed at reading
maybe, but it feels pretty bad. I had to respec to ranged combat and call in guns all the time cause I couldn't stand it
>call in guns all the time
wait which game is this about?
i was talking about ruiner, theres a skill that allows you to summon a crate that has a gun of your choice
ah
It could've been better but I definitely liked it enough to beat it several times.
I fricking love brutalism boys
i wish brutalism lovers could have all the brutalism to themselves
no need to save any for the rest of us
plain grey cubes my man that's how I like 'em (in my test levels I don't intend to release as a game)
simple as
I’m sorry but you know it to be true
Yes, at least gameplay-wise
Could it perhaps be that your expectations were too high? They are a small indie studio and it was their first project, what did you expect?
