Theres genuinely little to no mechanical problems of the sort, the game is made for casual normal players and first playthroughs first and foremost, and is overall very well designed. Its genuinely the highest quality arcadey FPS campaign i can currently name, even in an unfinished state

a. dev nerfed a movement ability. Its still just as effective and dominant in terms of potential, it just requires skill now, by not letting you facetank every single attack during it. And yet you can still facetank heavily with it if you're remotely skillful

Rocket riding was nerfed in a way that basically only affects the high autismo way in cybergrind gamemodes. Flying around in the normal game for enemy arenas is entirely unchanged in practice, its still stupidly strong for being away from the enemy's reach in any open space. Its still a fun traversal tool and the nerf hasnt affected that at all.
Basically the nerf makes the rocket progressively weaker until it cant fly if you chain a ton in a row without touching the ground, and its a non issue because theres literally nowhere that you cannot reach with 3-4 rockets.

There is a thread right now, there is some content worth discussing but as a fan of the game I feel it should be discussed among other games, these past year has been great for shooters. We got like 4 good releases this summer alone.

There are many fun creative things i've done in that level, like using the idoled hideous mass to protect myself from sentry gun shots and using swordsmachines as meatshields against mindflayers, you dont see that kind of thing in cybergrind >second prime boss

I love open wide maps like 4-2. Theres still a lot of levels with shortcuts and different ways to reach arenas, or even skip the entire level.

Theres genuinely little to no mechanical problems of the sort, the game is made for casual normal players and first playthroughs first and foremost, and is overall very well designed. Its genuinely the highest quality arcadey FPS campaign i can currently name, even in an unfinished state

Rocket riding was nerfed in a way that basically only affects the high autismo way in cybergrind gamemodes. Flying around in the normal game for enemy arenas is entirely unchanged in practice, its still stupidly strong for being away from the enemy's reach in any open space. Its still a fun traversal tool and the nerf hasnt affected that at all.
Basically the nerf makes the rocket progressively weaker until it cant fly if you chain a ton in a row without touching the ground, and its a non issue because theres literally nowhere that you cannot reach with 3-4 rockets.

There is a thread right now, there is some content worth discussing but as a fan of the game I feel it should be discussed among other games, these past year has been great for shooters. We got like 4 good releases this summer alone.
From Boltgun, Trepang2, Slayers X and a bunch of Nightdive updates like System Shock, Quake 2 and ROTT. Doom Eternal cannot carry on itself a discussion unless you want to discuss fan content.
The dev is a allowed his cringiest impulses take over in the development and writing of act 2, which was overall a lot lazier than the first, with 2 of its major bosses being rehashes of bosses from act 1. He implemented a fun new movement technique and then nerfed the shit out of it when the trannies in his discord cried about it being too strong. Apparently continuing that atonement, the act 2 super secret level is literally just autism cybergrind nonsense, followed, by a fat Black person who's just Minos with none of the style or narrative weight and much worse music. In addition to the game's storytelling being much less funny overall, the star VA of the game has become much more of an obnoxious and outspoken homosexual over time, bringing in even more homosexuals to the ultrakill development discord to give the dev even more bad ideas.

There are many fun creative things i've done in that level, like using the idoled hideous mass to protect myself from sentry gun shots and using swordsmachines as meatshields against mindflayers, you dont see that kind of thing in cybergrind

You do realize you're making my argument for me? Yes, new weapons and movement mechancs were added, but not that many enemies, and the maps generally had a lot less going on except the underwater one. A lot more just "here's 20 enemies, kill them how you want".
