The last of Us truly is a mediocre game and the tv series could have been great but was ruined by wokism and bad pacing.
Well this is actually the norm here but when I drop these opinions in front of my normalgay friends it really hurts their feelings.
I think the entire foundation of Souls games is stupid. It's like the opposite of rhythm games, where the objective is for the player to get as into the flow state as possible, maximizing engagement. In Souls games instead there's like a wall between me and the character; I never, ever get into a flow state, because every action is a zero sum choice. It's like they tried to make an anti-fun game. I just don't get it.

I dunno about Monster Hunter because I don't play that shit but I agree on Souls. The music is cliché and loud, there is no subtlety to it. People hype it up as being legitimately good music, I don't think it is. It isn't bad and it works for the games but it isn't really good either.

The Super Nintendo is far and away Nintendo's best console, the N64 was complete garbage and only had like 5 good games at most.

Souls games outside of Bloodborne and Sekiro suck.
FF13 trilogy was generally great.
Persona 3 even if it had flaws was a unique experience.

It's more arcadey and less simlike. The story is mostly funny bullshit. The second game is slower and focusses way more on immersion, and the story is a lot more than le funny rockstar satire from the very beginning.
It pisses me off when people can only praise RDR1 by dragging down the sequel that tries to be something very different. I don't mind people liking 1 more, I can understand it because I played both games, most of the people on this board can sadly only express this opinion while being a dishonest homosexual about it.
I agree with everything you said anon. They're so different it's like comparing Gran Turismo to Need For Speed. I enjoy both rdr1 and 2. I think I enjoyed my first playthrough of rdr2 more than my first playthrough of rdr1, but I enjoy replaying 1 more than 2. I think they're both Rockstar at its best

Souls series as a whole has like 4 memorable tracks total ( Ornstein & Smough, Sif, Gwyn and Iron Golem themes ) the rest is just generic orchestra that absolutely nobody remembers. I honestly can't remember a single track from Dark Souls 2 and 3. Same with Elden Ring, not a single song that had discernable melody that you could hum to yourself, Godfrey's theme is memorable, but you only remember the second part of it when he fuses with the dragon, and even that song, you remember exactly 10 seconds of, the beginning chant, afterwards the rest just becomes a blur. They even admitted that the lyrics for their songs were AI generated, meaning there's nothing tying the elements together, it's just soulless chanting with no theme.
Monster Hunter doesn't have a SINGLE track you can remember. A game can have good gameplay, but the ones where you remember the soundtrack, you tend to remember more fondly. Age of Empires Online has one of the best soundtracks ever made, Octogeddon has an incredible soundtrack, Sea of Thieves has incredible music and shanties, The Sims has incredible music, GTA Vice City has the best and most memorable radio stations out of all the other games in the series, Battleforge has the best orchestral music out of any game out there, ever, Ganbare Goemon has incredible music, Maplestory has incredible music, 3D fallout games have incredible music in their radio stations, LISA has incredible soundtrack, Stardew Valley has incredible music, Tekken series has incredible music, Castlevania games have incredible music, Rock of Ages has incredible music, Witcher 3 has incredible music, Slap City has incredible music
There is so much crazy good music within video games, Monster Hunter and Fromsoft games objectively have some of the blandest music ever as you can't even remember the melodies, the gameplay is enjoyable though.
You forgot the Firelink Shrine track in 1. Bloodborne also has numerous great, memorable tracks and melodies.

I never thought I would agree with someone so much before. Souls games have the most boring OSTs I have ever heard while for some reason Bloodborne has some tracks I can listen to independent of the game.

I think the souls games, elden ring are maybe C+ tier gameplay and music C- tier story if any story there actually is. Bloodbourne too. Ill give a B- for taking a big risk with the lovecraftian setting. Otherwise everything FROM software does is below average and akin to a gambling simulator or Metal Slug/ designed to kill you not so you get good but to waste as much time as possible till you figure out how to cheese it.

Mainline Pokemon music is always (always) amateurish at best.
It shouldn't be unpopular to say that Modern Paper Mario(Specifically Origami King) has gotten a lot of positives that improve on the originals, and that the ideal scenario for the future would be RPG mechanics and creativity from the originals built on top of the Modern upgrades.
But PM fans are not normal people and froth from the mouth if you even suggest anything positive about the modern games.
