this is the worst part. I love the game to death, but it's just not the same playing solo and it's practically impossible (ie, incredibly tedious and buggy) to play the original with friends these days via emulation. So much hope went into the remaster and they fricked it all to hell. We'll never get a good way to play this game in multiplayer
Didn't like that some spells were outright accessible with a single player. My brother and I had bought two GBA cables just for this game and Four Swords Adventures. We also had a friend with his own so we did have access to 3 players. I think my friend left his at my brothers because I was organizing stuff from old boxes and found 3 of them all with GBAs attached. The upfront cost for this is just crazy though.

Yeah go figure. SE is by far one of the worst companies for shitting out low effort remasters, the pixel remasters were somewhat of a step in the right direction but the previous garbage mobile ports were such a joke (I don't remember if those were just on PC). The original game would have greatly benefited from online play but that was almost non-existent on the GCN. I still feel like they could have made it work somehow without the GBA menu system, I almost wonder if Nintendo gave them some money to try and push GBA cable sales.

They definitely could have figured it out in the GC days, but yeah I bet big N pushed the GBA cables. And then when they had the chance to fix it in the remaster, they messed it up even more by 1) not giving local multiplayer and 2) making online multiplayer dungeon-only. Can't ever trust SE to do things right, and I don't think there are advanced enough modding tools to fix the GC version into something easier to emulate for multiplayer

Incredible atmosphere, but who has 3 buddies with GBAs?

First reply and we already have hipster zoomers trying to be different. Surely a new record.
If it was the last bible then why are there 3 of them?
Nu new testament.
I'm guessing you watched Marsh's video, because before he released that I had seen literally zero people talking about Last Bible
Who?
I don't care about some eceleb, I just really like SMT, and wanted to play all the games, good or not.
How'd you know he was an eceleb? Looks like you outted yourself.
Functioning adults know how to use context clues to gain information.
Just admit you're gay for YouTuber, you fricking twink.
It's still an auto battle Sim like 1 and 2 until the final boss, yes the story is better though
The cell phone games sounds fricking awesome too
Last Bible 2 was better
Sonic 1 on the Master System
Phantasy Star IV
valis 1 remake on pc engine
probably the only game in the series that even approaches B-tier
Underworld Forest.
