I can't find it, but this reminds me of an old magazine I had which showed a rather gorey picture (surprised they published that) of Crash Bandicoot killing... I think it was Mario? with a mace by cutting him I half with it. I recall him threatening another videogame character that he would kill them if they made another sequel, and a badly-drawn Link was giving him his sword while calling him "master". Anyone have that? I feel it fits the theme of this topic considering what a joke Crash is now when just about every other franchise that image made fun of is still popular to this day.

To be honest, these leaks are starting to lose their sparkle, it's becoming increasingly obvious that most of the time, unused assets are quite literally garbage data or throwaway doodles that the developers didn't consider special enough to be in the final, and probably didn't take a lot of time or dedication to make anyway.
They can be some funny trivia at best. If anyone actually wanted to know how the Sonic CD Round 2 looked like, they should maybe try asking one of the developers now. Going further than that borders on developer gossip.
