Yup. It did get a slight stat buff in later gens, but that bonus to Def really didn't do much for it compared to the absurdly good moves it eventually got while still remaining completely irrelevant.

Yanmega was not a bad guess actually, but it is Duraludon.
I am happy :).
Trivia is that with introduction of its evolution, Duraludon has become pokemon with the highest base stat total of all pokemon that are not fully evolved, surpassing Type: Null by just one point.
That one point of difference almost makes me think it was main reason to create Archaludon, because why otherwise give evolution to decently strong pokemon that was introduced quite recently in previous generation.
