I have those all the time too. Viruses that pop up saying "you can't do that, it's too late" and me frantically trying to run different antivirus scans to remove it.
> you can never do that anymore
Fricking Black person micro(penis)soft(dick) and their administrator privileges. should've had the entire operating system at ring0 with network connectivity and be vulnerable to something as novice as a weekend script kiddie.
remove windows defender and all security, it's bloat
How is this even scary? That moron just got himself stuck, there's nowhere for him to hide and now I have the advantage. I know where he is, he doesn't know what I'll do and can't see me because he's hiding. I basically have him in checkmate.
The Mortuary Assistant. It's neat. Part simulator and part Drag Me To Hell.
How much replayability does the game actually have? If the endings are just win/lose/win_different/lose_different and it's otherwise just picking a handful of spooks from a pool, I don't know that I'd bother with the mortuary sim part of it more than once.
it's good for like 3 playthroughs if you want to see most of the mosnters/scares, each taking an hour
It's a RNG game so how scary or tame it is can come down to luck unfortunately
Not much, I saw my friend play this for two runs, he fricked up the first and got all the rituals and doodads right on the second try
It was pretty good spookswise, the kind of show, don’t tell but in horror, not every scare is in your face, you have to kind of squint and notice that there’s something off. Pirate it tbh, I certainly wouldn’t pay money for it
>we try our best but no one’s even playing the hottest drop of the year so far
Come on, Ganker, I know Experience is niche as frick but come on step it up
If I ever get around to development, I intend to be an engine chad. One idea is a raycast rendering method to generate a staticky image with low distant visibility. The closest example I can come up with is the Pitch Black bioraptor vision.
I come to this conclusion again and again but literally just take thief and put it into different settings. It is the perfect mix of vulnerability and capability, monster avoidance but with some options for confrontation.
make a game, moron.
just make a virus that fricks up your pc. That's scary, right?
I've actually had some fricking horrifying nightmares where I get some ridiculous "virus" that's straight out of the boomer writing staff from CSI

game about real life
>look behind you
>get a glimpse of someone stalking you
Nice aesthetic.
Stuff like this is needed in more horror games, would love a horror game with no jump scares and just more dread inducing soft scares like this.
did this one get big? I only know it because I happened upon the dev streaming the development of it.
Had very respectable sales and really positive reviews, but it didn't make huge waves like Paranormal activity and the like did
Phasmophobia, not paranormal activity

What game is this?

one monster
reactive ai
chasing and hiding
tell tale sound design
there, pin it to your blouse.
so Alien Isolation?
yeah, basically. I have other ideas but this dumb threads gets posted all the time, I never get engagement, and it was about to archive this time.
A horror game with ps1 style graphics, a vhs overlay at all times, spikes of headphone destroying screams, and a synth score.
never been done before. it just wouldn't work
Good ideas so far but we need at least 20% more jumpscares
An old meme but it checks out
WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS GAEM, DID IT EBVER COME OUT?
I REMEMBER SEEING THIS SHIT IT AT E3 LIKE 10 FRICKING YEARS AGO AND IT NEVER CAME OUT
Here's a video of it:
It's unlikely this was ever shown at E3.
>we try our best but no one’s even playing the hottest drop of the year so far
Come on, Ganker, I know Experience is niche as frick but come on step it up
I bought these games but never played them
Isn't that just some VN trash?
Suit yourself, it’s less like a dungeon crawler but more like a side scroller this time though
sorry, I'm not really into VNs
>50 euros
man I fricking love those haunted ps1 demo discs
How about non-supernatural themes?
The shambling fent-heads all over downtown Democrat cities is scarier than any Jason or Freddie.
there's condemned and manhunt
Condemned has otherworldly elements even if they're not in your face a lot of the time
this was the final boss in the first game

Make a horror game with a pitbull from the perspective of a kid.
I come to this conclusion again and again but literally just take thief and put it into different settings. It is the perfect mix of vulnerability and capability, monster avoidance but with some options for confrontation.
These threads consistently have the worst advice for making a good horror game that I've ever seen.

I would like to make a horror game set in prehistory. No more guns, no more flashlights. Let's go back to our primordial fears.
