Play the Mega Man X series, there's 8 games, most of them are fun and they can be beaten in a few hours. Then you can play Mega Man Zero as you 40th game.
I've tried getting into Mega Man a few times, but I absolutely suck at it, I'm thinking of going for a title from an IP I'm more familiar with, to finish the year off somewhat comfortably, though Mega Man's in my 2024 bucket list for sure, as it seems like a supeb action platformer series.
It depends on what you're playing, but for most it's seeing the credits roll, though I added a couple of football/soccer titles in there, which most don't play to "beat" at all, but I grew up playing lots of them and back then winning the World Cup meant that you had beaten it.
Yes, also June and July, when life gets a bit more tough I end up not playing as much as I'd like, or even at all, for that matter. It really just depends.
Good advice, anons!
I'd say your definition is closer to "completing" it instead of "beating" it, anon, but that's just me.
What counts as "beating" a game? Seeing the credits roll?
completing 100% of the content, like achievements, endings, collectibles etc.
>achievements
I turn those off. I lose I guess.
Yes, getting to the end of the game means you beat it.
Bro you didn't play a single game in November?
just beat some older mainstream games with ~6 hrs playtime easy
Too many to count but definitely over 40. Mostly new games that released this year though. It was a great year for indies Only emulated a few PSX games.

It's an eh list but I enjoyed most games somewhat. I wonder why so many people have "problems" with playing/beating games, like, just play them? Eventually, you're gonna beat them.
I'm at 34 this year. might beat another one or two games before the end of the year, but probably not hitting 40

Seems like I spent most of the year working and playing multiplayer games with friends
How do I finish more games? I start a lot of games and play a lot, but I just lose interest and don't finish. It feels like I have perpetual gaming burnout except for 1-2 months each year when I'm completely addicted and going for 12 hours straight without even trying. What do?
stop checking Ganker every 15 minutes
Those that I remember are:
Soul Blazer
SMRPG remake
Zelda: LA remake
Pikmin 1,3,4 (dropped 2 because it was boring)
Metroid Prime remake
MH Rise Sunbreak
Elden Ring
FF IX
SMB Wonder
SM3DW and Bowser's Fury
Sekiro
I think these are the ones I actually beat. Might have started others but dropped for one reason or another
too lazy to type it all out
https://backloggd.com/u/YoungM/journal/activity/
How do you beat FIFA?
by not playing
I mentioned my thoughts here: (
)
>I added a couple of football/soccer titles in there, which most don't play to "beat" at all, but I grew up playing lots of them and back then winning the World Cup meant that you had beaten it.
I have beaten:
Super Mario World
Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country 2
Chrono Trigger
God of War 1
GTA 3
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
If I were going to start now, assuming I hadn't beaten anything this year, I'd just have to grab a bunch of roms. There's no way that I'd be able to beat 2-3 games a day otherwise.
You haven't beaten a single game the entire year so far?
I did, but only like five, if my top list is anything to go by
So that doesn't really change much, even if it's actually double that
Baroque, mm x5, parasite eve, bof 4, mh world, across the obelisk, shadow tower, kings field, g darius
