I've always felt Yakuza's 'popularity' was mainly carried by the forced memes and "wacky" moments from the game like that shitty dame dane song or the diaper wearing middle aged men clip. The games themselves were never very good, specially now that they're pozzed.

Does Ganker agree with me?

What is it with chartgays not understand that people play a singleplayer game and move on with their life?

Not an argument. Why do you think Sega drops these games to like $8 just a few months after they release? Nobody fricking buys them.

You don't have an argument. You're implying the game is bad because of player count numbers, yet it sits at 97% overwhelmingly positive on Steam. So the vast majority of people who bought the game seemed to have enjoyed their time with it, regardless of whether or not they are playing it right now.

    Nope.
They're honestly damn good games. And feel like early 00s' VIDEO GAMES, rather than 2020's cinematic goyslop.

Why do steamies think they are a relevant market when their platform is for third world poorgays to play F2P skinnerbox games

half of these companies sell their games on Steam, and Apple and Google aren't game companies

            >half of these companies sell their games on Steam
Then that shows steam is irrelevant if other companies games STILL have Valve at the lowest

How so? The producers themselves have admitted to it.

Yakuza is and always has been a man-soap opera. It's popularity is based on two grown men pulling their shirts off and bare knuckle fighting in the rain while screaming each other's name and this somehow decides the fate of an orphanage or the lost 200 million dollar property deed.

Gamedevs nowadays are trash but Japanese devs are the absolute worse when it comes to optimizing games. These Yakuza games don't even look current gen to begin with

        >These Yakuza games don't even look current gen to begin with
Then what the frick is a current gen look? I don't know if you've noticed this, but the tech jump between this and last gen isn't big enough to warrant massive spike in graphical quality. And the Yakuza games are optimized just fine. Gaiden runs perfectly fine on a Deck, and 8 has good performance.

Gaiden is that big because the Y8 demo is like 20GB and then they have the shit ton of video files for the hostess videos.

      because it's not 8

Because 8 has the highest player count out of any Yakuza game at launch, so it would destroy OP's bullshit narrative.
