I've been blasting through the PS2 library and am having trouble finding more games worth playing. Are any of these any good?

If you liked 2, yes.
I don't have much time to play games anymore and want to play the "best" one first. What's the difference between like, Silent Line and Nine Breaker, etc?
>>Aeon Flux
>Good
I was hype when I saw existed, then disappointed when I saw it was based on the movie. But it's still a good game?
So what are some good hidden PS1 gems?
>I was hype when I saw existed, then disappointed when I saw it was based on the movie. But it's still a good game?
It's just loosely based on the movie, like a lot of movie games from that era. The game's characters are based more closely on the cartoon characters, except Aeon still looks like Charlize Theron. The game itself is basically BloodRayne, same developer.
There's at least 300 good games on the PS2. You'd have to be braindead not to be able to find one.

Shit
: Curse of Darkness
Good
Defense Force
Shit
Fight: Streetwise
Haven't played
I know this thread is asking about PS2 games but since Armored Core was brought up how many of the ps1 games are good and worth playing
All of them, you can move your savegame into the next one. If you don't want to do that either play 1 or MoA
3 or Last Raven if you want something more difficult. I can't speak for Silent Line.

If you have an Xbox, I strongly encourage you to play the Xbox version of Aeon Flux instead. Game runs better, looks better, and it doesn't have the game-breaking bug that can brick your memory card.
yeah basically any multiplat was best on xbox back then
Redpill me on the bug, what causes it and how does it brick your shit up?
Basically, the developers pissed away too much money trying to make Aeon Flux in the first place (and that stupid contest that nobody could win, landing them in big trouble with the US government), so the PS2 version was rushed out the gate with little quality control being done. When you get near the end of the game on PS2, you have a very small chance of the game leaking memory during a cutscene. If this happens, it'll try to use the memory card in slot A as a temporary bank to read/write to in order to prevent the game from crashing when it runs out of memory on the PS2 itself. The problem is that the game never clears off the data it wrote on the memory card, so if you get sent back to the cutscene and it keeps leaking data, it'll keep writing more and more junk to the memory card to new space until it eventually begins writing into game saves.
source? Google brings up nothing at all, which makes me doubt your story.
He's confusing Aeon Flux for Advent Rising, contest was a big tipoff for me. Just take everything he said in that post about the memory card bricking bug and apply it to Advent Rising's PS2 version instead.
When I was a kid Aeon Flux used to scare me shitless. I've never watched it as an adult but remember it deliberately fricking my brain back in the days. Frick that cartoon
If you like the cartoon then definitely check the game. otherwise you probably wont enjoy it especially since you won't know who any of the main characters are.
yeah some of the episodes are really weird
My fav PS2 games:
God Hand
Spartan: Total Warrior
Breath of Fire V
Dragon Quest V
MGS3
I'd try Urban Reign over Final Fight
i suggest Area-51,fun game.
Have you played Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy? It's really good.
If you don't play Ratchet And Clank so help me.
My friend went through this whole video for a couple of weeks, and took screenshots of every game that looked interesting to her. She now has 291 titles at the moment, with 39 to go.
