No, because you can't cancel out one of the purple stars in this one. They have to always be in pairs.

What do you mean? If you do it the same way then there will be 2 purple stars in one shape and 2 in the other.
I don't remember what the white symbol in the bottom left means though and I don't quite remember the exact rules for the orange blocks, do the shapes they're inside need to be exactly made up of those blocks and no extra tiles or do they just need to contain them somewhere in the shape?
The white symbol cancels out one other symbol, and you're required to use it in order to solve the puzzle. The yellow blocks have to add up to the area inside the line with no extra spaces, and with the same orientation.
Isn't this the solution then? Am I missing something?

White symbol can only cancel out 1 other symbol, but it can be a symbol of any type. Anyways good luck, especially on the mountain puzzles when you get to those
try to think logically. talk yourself through what the constraints are and how you can narrow down the possibilities. it’s not an easy puzzle, but if you’ve gotten that far you can do it.

I know the one you're talking about, I only had to look up guides for two puzzles in the entire game and that was one of them. I just couldn't take it any more

the sun environment puzzle at the beginning, I didn't realize you could reactivate the gate and thought I had locked myself out of getting it by not getting it at the start
The ship thing isn't even a puzzle. If you've done the sound area its obvious you're supposed to listen to the sounds, but it's fricking trash. I'm not gonna sit there and try to figure out when the sounds start and end. All of the sounds puzzles after the first 3-4 are terrible. The one with the broken speakers in the town is good, though.
I don't think I even completed that. I had to look it up and didn't understand the solution.
Also didn't bother with the stupid movies, or at least the 40 mins long one.
i shut it off and refunded it when there were invisible clones opposite each other and i had to remember all of it, if i failed i had to redo the previous one. frick off
