Only played the demo, and wasn't feeling what I saw, but I can't imagine the retreads capture the same essence or producing something equal to or greater.
I enjoyed it. The parts where you play with Cloud and Aerith only really sticks out to me. Great music, fun combat, and nice to look at once you get out of Sector 7.

Party Swap is antithetical to turn based gameplay. Even if it theoretically wasn't, X' version of it is just Simon Says and falls far away from that possibility.
I enjoyed it. They nailed the characters, atmosphere, music, locations and boss fights. The biggest issue is the numerous filler chapters and soulless sidequests.
I enjoyed parts of it, and loathed parts of it too. Wasn't a big fan of them removing the silliness of the original, but Rebirth seems to be remedying this.
