I never went to college, nor I have a job.
Instead I decided to read books and courses about every gamedev skill.
After almost 19 years of practice, I finally can make a game alone, imitating baroque art, of a quality I hope will be similar to Castlevania SOTN.
Hopefully It all pays off in 2-3 months.
Tip Your Landlord Shirt $21.68 |
nice, but in 2023 any jeet can drag and drop shit into unity and make millions because the game is so shitty it turns viral
my goal is not making AI slop showelware.
dunno.
Wont be showelware.
You should make a Uni game where he's on a quest to become the strongest
He already is the strongest
>3 months to make a game on your own
Based shovelware producer
People want cinematic experiences now. Gameplay is dead. Should have gone to film school.
people love garbage.
It's not something new.
Make a turn based RPG with punishing mechanics and limited saves.
Fear and hunger scratched an itch I didn’t know I had, but it’s a bit lacking on overall content
I will make now a farming game with two sisters fighting an invasion of evil bugs, meanwhile a e-girl demon wants to destroy their town.
Hopefully I can make some schizo shit like a tree of life of kabala as the world map, and get something like a mixture of normal levels with the indinite style of tetris challenge (survive attack).
I think I can finish a quality game in 8 weeks.
I've done some smaller games in 1-2 months, but I hope now I can make an arcade game with low poly.
You won't be finished making jack shit in 2-3 months. See you in the dev threads if you stick with it.
I hope you will use that anon's song as a shop theme.
>1 in 99 chance of the romance theme playing during a special event
>plays even if you have the in game volume muted
Ps release when?
I do hope, lmao.
Will show it to a godo publisher.
Webm related is like 10 days of work.
Is not learning something.
I studied coding, art, 3D animation, graphic design, literature, music composition, etc.
Also, I went into territories like learning IRL magic systems and grimoires to properly design renaisance magical shit.
>it's cris
should have fricking figured
have this (you) and frick off cris
>cris
frick off
looks shitty and laggy
if a, else if b, else if c, else if d, else if e, else if f, else
how is this anything like SOTN, speaking of SOTN maybe you should go 2d if your computer is so shit
what is the gameplay supposed to be like? This is just a bunch of random assets on an empty field running at 15 FPS
use the boulders to kill the bugs, hopefully I can add like a tetris load type of ammo.
you wont learn to do art, or music by making games, anon.
what a bizarre bait, consider me intrigued
20 years to merely *learn* anything is stupid
imagine making a halfway decent project in 3 months
were you NEETmaxxing the whole time?
i don't even think there's enough shit to learn about gamedev in that timeframe, certainly not in mid-noughts
or did you just mean I HAVE LEARNT EVERYTHING THERE IS TO BE DONE IN SUCH MASSIVELY MULTIDISCIPLINARY FIELD while failing to actually make anything of sort? pyw then
Good luck, bro.
frick off cris
qrd?
A based game dev that shows up here sometimes to show what he's working on and a few anons trying to make him a "lolcow" because he posts here.
See https://warosu.org/ic/thread/6748608#p6748949
>Hispanic weeb with that disgusting deviantart anime style
why is this internet phenotype so common and why is it always spics
their brains must be studied
qrd on cris
thank you
And how do you expect us to know which game is the one you made after it's released?
ask agdg.
my pc is a literal e-waste laptop.
Don’t care, Flargy-Filler. Go back to your pipe dreams.
>19 years of practice
but have you ever made an actual game? Like a prototype or something very simple? Or is this your very first game project?
No, this will be my first SERIOUS one.
As in trying to make money from it.
I mean, a similar level of quality.
It's just the first week of work.
if you're a good programmer you could've landed a real job that isn't a complete gamble but instead you chose to be moronic
enjoy having your game getting buried under millions and millions of shovelware
>another dark fantasy indie metroidvania in 2014+9
19 years wasted
Dumb cat gay
>After almost 19 years of practice, I finally can make a game
What the frick, that's not how learning a skill works.
You don't learn to play the trombone and then and only then make music. You make music the entire time you are learning.
If you haven't made a single smaller project in 15 years then you wasted your time. You will be like those moronic indie devs that drop their jobs to focus for 2 years in their games just to see them flop and then complain about it. You should pump out shitty smaller project from time to time, even if the art is shit or the coding sucks. You need experience. Basically this
No.
I don't mean making a new noob game.
I mean I do hope to make something as good as castlevania sotn.
That's not how this works. In whatever skill everyone learns their first few projects will mostly suck ass. Your game will be a drop of piss in a piss sea.
lmao at newbies trying to talk to cris as if he was an actual person capable of thought and introspection
he is an actual automaton, a facsimile of a human being, a malfunctioning brain at best
This is probably bait. It reeks of "I've been drawing naruto for years and now I will make my masterpiece comic!!"
It took you 20 years of doing nothing but learning, just to get to the point where you COULD make a game? What terrible time management
I'm rock lee.
I have no talent.
Just pure power of will and hard work.
>instead of making games I wasted almost 20 years of my life getting ready to make games
why
To make my dream.
I am growing stronger, like a jrpg.
>indie dev makes a metroidvania
Yikes. Not an original thought in your head huh?
Life is so pointless and gay
How can I be like based shiity dev in this thread and just not give a shit about being terriable.
