sounds good to me
I don't get it
>Jacket's entire game is a meta commentary
No dumb moron, Jacket entire game is about killing bald people.
>>DUDE LETS PUT HIM IN THE BANK ROBBERY SHOOTER GAME LMAO
And it was kino.
t. doesn't know what time it is
>Jacket's entire game is a meta commentary on senseless violence and killing for no reason
Who are you quoting
>Jacket's entire game is a meta commentary on senseless violence and killing for no reason
Was it?
No, it was about accepting it
Meta commentary isn't real. Violence is never senseless, violence is cool and fun. Hotline Miami is a game about beating and shooting people to death because it's a fun thing to do.
This.
OP's comment is fart-sniffer pseud babble.
But it's a metacommentary on exactly that
And that meta commentary is saying "This Is A Good Thing."
It's not meta unless it chastises it
Yeah, it's chastising not doing violence
>meta commentary isn't real
>reaches the exact conclusion that hotline's meta commentary makes most players reach
what did he mean by this
you've never had a fight in your life
Not him but I boxed a few times with friends and it was dope, sad we didn't continue doing it.
Violence is fun but that doesn't mean anyone has to get hurt.
>I boxed a few times with friends
Nobody would play a game about a guy meditating under a tree.
I would totally play a Buddhahood simulator
>inb4 it'd be an idle game
wrong
Does anyone even care about the kind of bullshit like "the entire point is it is senseless violence bro"? And even if you did, the whole point of character skins is to make you point at the screen and go "wow cool look its them!" and literally nothing more. There's nothing you can do to stop it anyway, who cares?
>Jacket's entire game is a meta commentary on senseless violence and killing for no reason
Thats your assumption dude
>DUDE LETS PUT HIM IN THE BANK ROBBERY SHOOTER GAME LMAO
I guess HM devs love money so they greenlighted it. I would have done the same
>every fat nerd mains him too
PD2's characters dlc were a mistake
>mc that hides his face with a mask and is from a game where you break and clear rooms full of bald ruskies doesnt fit somehow in a game where you do heists with masks
OP is trying to be soo fricking "deep" that he has stuck his own head deep in his own ass, being the ultra homosexual he is
for all the shit you could throw at starbreeze / overkill; they actually did jacket justice in their game.
yeah op is a gay
Shoudl'nt have made violence so appealing then.
>it's not a commentary of video game violence
You fricking what, mate?
>Hotline Miami is all about indulging in pulse-pounding violence while synthwave blares in your headphones
>game makes you walk back through all the bloodshed
>intentionally saves every enemy corpse's position and cause of death
>intentionally plays a somber, ambient track while you walk through said corpses
>teases you with plot threads that go nowhere
>the final level is literally just Soderstrom and Wedin asking you if you had fun and telling you to go frick yourself
It's one of the most clear cut "meta" commentaries on video game violence, second only to Spec Ops: The Line. The whole point of Hotline Miami's story is that the story didn't matter, and you were always playing the game because killing guys while cool music plays is cool. It's not a condemnation or even an affirmation of video game violence, it's just a commentary that asks the player to decide that for themselves.
I've never played Payday 2.
That's the game's commentary, Jacket as a character doesn't mind violence
Hotline Miami glorifies violence as much as it criticizes it, and ultimately the devs wanted to create a game where killing innumerable bad guys as violently as possible to be fun.
What does making a cameo appearance in something else have to do with the themes of the source material?
Payday 2 is meta commentary on senseless bank robbery.
I thought it was a nice addition, who cares when the game's lore is more moronic then *insert post*
I just wanted to shoot and loot as a cool indie character
>Jacket's entire game is a meta commentary on senseless violence and killing for no reason
No, it's just a trippy kino about bad people who like to hurt others. There is also ambiguity about who survived after the fight in the TV studio: Jacket or Biker.
For me it's Gus
>Jacket's entire game is a meta commentary on senseless violence and killing for no reason
I don't think it is anon, I think it was just about how fun video games can be when you kill.
name a fun game where you don't kill.
Tetris
Mario Kart
Minesweeper
Mahjong
Any racing sims like Gran Turismo games
DUDE, I LOVE senseless violence and killing for no reason!
the voice of the author says "its ok to senselessly kill people in a video game it's all just for fun it doesn't need a purpose"
