The game has you calibrate it so that the cardboard spans the whole length of the screen, so I don't see what challenge there is in keeping it "confined" to the cardboard.

I doubt they couldn't afford, more so they think they outgrow the initial amateurish setup they had and wanted to be more professional with the whole thing. We will see what the format will be in summer/winter after the feedback.
