The most cancerous part is the fricking perk system itself to be honest
Why is this even a thing? It's not like most of them have any use >+5% damage increase >+3% movement speed >HP increased by 2 >can't have a speed boost and a health boost at the same time
It's the most useless shit I've ever seen and until you stack them all, it barely make a difference. And the actual useful perks shows up really late, your character might end up dying of old age before you even reach them.
they seem to be working okay now, but I gave up after reaching lategame
blacksmithing is so fricking busted moneymaking method it made the game boring, but if I weren't doing it then my elite horse archer army would bankrupt me

when will we escape?
Static npc companions is so much better than the randomized ones in Bannerlord. You know what they're already specializing in and they have their own likes and dislikes.
This. Bannerlord fricking GUTTED the companions. I understand that they have to factor in death and old age and all, but they have absolutely 0 character compared to the companions of Warband. I'd honestly rather have a set amount of companions with personalities and they can have children who are exact clones of them.
>play the battle and it gets tiring after slaughtering tons of people >autoresolve and your soldiers all die like flies even though you have the stronger army
It's another episode of Devs having delusions of grandeur and wanting to implement 200 different mechanics that sound cool on paper only to realize that at best they'll half-finish 50% of them and it will take them 2 decades to actually flesh them out to be worthwhile.
Should've just been warband with better graphics and some more unit variety/upgrading and that's it but nope.
I haven't seen any that let you have kids or forge a sword how you want though there might be a couple where you do a quest to trade materials for a weapon.
It's worse, they wanted to make Bonerlords multiplayer into a COMPETITIVE EXPERIENCE hence the class system. The problem is that nobody liked it so afaik multi is dead too
>take a relatively niche game and slap multiplayer on it >expect it to be competitive >in an era where Mordau, Chivalry, For Honor and other shit exist already saturating the market

yep co-op multiplayer is what they should've focused on if anything, these pvp battles are done better by many other games already

It's a little rough, especially with quest brraking bugs, but the majority of complaints about it come from people who are used to F3ing Swadian Knight spam and who can't into combined arms
WFAS with a deathcam would be the perfect M&B module, but even without it its still extremely fun
I play it with that one mod that makes it more historically accurate, it's pretty fun.
I just wish there was more to do, and that the story wasn't jank as frick (or was optional).

The thing is that it's the ruler himself who indict their lord, usually to prevent the loss of fiefs from a lord defecting.
The problem mostly stem from the fact that a lord can join with a pretty lowered dispotion toward the ruler, and that the ruler can indict lords who don't have fiefs.

iirc usually it fixes itself when the lords involved either join a ruler they like, or get kicked out of every single faction.

>its another episode of the Swadians getting pushed all the way back to one castle but nobody can finish them off despite being at war with 4 different factions
i dont get the hate for bannerlord
playing it recently for the most part it seems like a straight upgrade from warband
the blacksmithing system is dogshit though
it's mostly because it's been unfinished for a very long time now, and people want it to be finished so the modding community can make great mods for it like they did for warband
it's not that bannerlord is necessarily bad, it's the ultra slow development, armed with the knowledge that quality mods will take years to make once the game is finally done. I'll be in my late 40s by the time we see good Bannerlord mods probably.
>that fricking afro
It's the problem with randomly generated characters: If you add something that looks goofy or out of place, it's gonna show up everywhere.
I both love and hate brytenwalda. I love the grimness of the ancient setting, the siege mechanics are cool, but at the same time the armies are all boring and the units are mostly the same because of the old time period, there's very little diversity of weapons and armor, the strongest troops are just guys with lamellar armor and a langseax basically. i haven't played brytenwalda in many years so i could be remembering wrong. then you have mods like warsword conquest where you can get shit like rat-men with gatling guns, huge ogres wielding pirate cannons loaded with grapeshot like a shotgun, dwarven master engineers with a fricking grenade launcher, a dinosaur with a platform on his back carrying 4 lizardmen with blowguns and spears, etc. Compared to things like that, Brytenwalda is incredibly basic, even moreso than vanilla.
why the other kingdoms oppose to my rightful claim of the Calradia Throne? I just backstabbed my King slay his whole House and proclaimed the Unifying Emperor
Fricking newbies forget how long warband was in early access
Just play something else, Bannerlord will be finished eventually and we'll then have mod kino for the next 10-15 years
Fricking zoomers I swear to god
>announced development in 2012 >warband being a base to reference so most of the skeleton of the game is already finished work to base it off of >8 years of development >2 years of early access >possible """release""" in october of this year
I'm only optimistic if TW does not touch this game again. The reason Warband's modding community was so great was because TW pretty much fricked off after release. I'm afraid TW may 'hotfix' the modding community after they 'release' the game out of existence.
Man, now I want a Warband multiplayer campaign mode just to see another website war like CS had >Ganker kingdom vs Reddit kingdom >Reddit high tier multicultural army >Ganker furry brazilians with 900 ping and their armies of female peasants >Reddit get curbstomped
Tried with fire and sword and I didn’t like it too much. >mid game has nothing much to do, no property to buy or bandit swarms to fight >Cav keep just charging through my pike wall, even if I have them just sit there three ranks deep hussars will just walk over them >guns reload so fast compared to actual muskets it feels like fire orders aren’t needed, they’ll just keep machine gunning an endless volley
It has its shortcomings, that's for sure.
Pikes ought to really be more effective, muskets less effective, and having property and marriage in the game would have certainely helped
Actually now I think about it the early game is shit too. Trading is so profitable and bandits so weak you can just farm up a shit load of money with a squad of disposable mercs. The AI do way too good a job cleaning them up.
I just want more games set in the age of pike and shot I want guns that belch smoke and take an age to reload it's not fricking fair that all the ones after wfas were fricking multiplayer only
Why is Pendor so popular? I used to play the shit out of warband back in the late 2000-s or so. Had tried pendor a few (like 5) years ago and it felt almost identical to vanilla at a glance
does it actually add anything new to the game or is it just a balancing mod of sorts?
the only thing it actually has going for it is how well optimized and bug free it is compared to other mods, the lore is cringe shit and the author is constantly sucking elven wiener and that affects the mods heavily, you can't even win without befriending those stupid elves, the balance is terrible, ranged units are even more broken than usual, this makes horse archers even more cancer than they already are and most non-noble troops are absolute garbage, the doomstack are silly shit that you'll end up kiting into Kingdom's marshall armys to kill because doing it otherwise is too much trouble until your custom troops eventually become better than the noldor.
but what i can't stand is how the mod's author insists on removing everything that you can use to either cheese the game or reduce the grinding, Black person even removed the ability to take high tier troops from a garrison of a newly conquered fief because you know, having 5-10 units that die super fast anyways as a reward for capturing a fricking castle is just too much, is shit like this that makes the mod unbearable to play for more than one playthrought, and its full of things like this
there's been a few variations and some body type mods. loverslab has also picked up on the potential of the game so there might be a decent coomer future
>Klethi picks fights with literally everyone in the party
I just want a cute cannibal waifu

>its another episode of the Swadians getting pushed all the way back to Praven by the Nords
>tfw solo an entire nord army in the field because they can't catch a horse
>autobattle makes knights die in droves
Love me some Swadian knights. Except for sieges.
>its another episode of the Swadians getting pushed all the way back to one castle but nobody can finish them off despite being at war with 4 different factions
i dont get the hate for bannerlord
playing it recently for the most part it seems like a straight upgrade from warband
the blacksmithing system is dogshit though
it's mostly because it's been unfinished for a very long time now, and people want it to be finished so the modding community can make great mods for it like they did for warband
it's not that bannerlord is necessarily bad, it's the ultra slow development, armed with the knowledge that quality mods will take years to make once the game is finally done. I'll be in my late 40s by the time we see good Bannerlord mods probably.
Doesn't help that the major developments they do make are all under the hood stuff so people don't notice as much.
Out for a stroll, are we?
frickers look like those inbreed brothers
average bannerlord players
Battanian chads
>that fricking afro
It's the problem with randomly generated characters: If you add something that looks goofy or out of place, it's gonna show up everywhere.
Yeah, fricking afros seem to show up randomly on characters who ought ti have straight and noncurly hair
I had a friend in high school who had an afro just like that
I used to have an af just like that. Took years of brushing it back to fix it. Still gets clumped to shit after a good nights sleep though.
tbh ne I almost never recruit Jeremus
I always prefer the other doctor, or I make Ymira into a doctor
I’ve always enjoyed brytenwalda
Just play something else, Bannerlord will be finished eventually and we'll then have mod kino for the next 10-15 years
Fricking zoomers I swear to god
>announced development in 2012
>warband being a base to reference so most of the skeleton of the game is already finished work to base it off of
>8 years of development
>2 years of early access
>possible """release""" in october of this year
I'm only optimistic if TW does not touch this game again. The reason Warband's modding community was so great was because TW pretty much fricked off after release. I'm afraid TW may 'hotfix' the modding community after they 'release' the game out of existence.
Man, now I want a Warband multiplayer campaign mode just to see another website war like CS had
>Ganker kingdom vs Reddit kingdom
>Reddit high tier multicultural army
>Ganker furry brazilians with 900 ping and their armies of female peasants
>Reddit get curbstomped
redditors fall before the brazilmonkey chads
Tried with fire and sword and I didn’t like it too much.
>mid game has nothing much to do, no property to buy or bandit swarms to fight
>Cav keep just charging through my pike wall, even if I have them just sit there three ranks deep hussars will just walk over them
>guns reload so fast compared to actual muskets it feels like fire orders aren’t needed, they’ll just keep machine gunning an endless volley
Fire and sword kind of sucks but Viking Conquest was awesome
It has its shortcomings, that's for sure.
Pikes ought to really be more effective, muskets less effective, and having property and marriage in the game would have certainely helped
fire and sword is a bit of a meme but getting one shot while riding around from a stray unavoidable bullet is pretty amusing
>stray unavoidable bullet
Just weave and you'll be invincible!
Actually now I think about it the early game is shit too. Trading is so profitable and bandits so weak you can just farm up a shit load of money with a squad of disposable mercs. The AI do way too good a job cleaning them up.
Just fight enemy nations
I just want more games set in the age of pike and shot I want guns that belch smoke and take an age to reload it's not fricking fair that all the ones after wfas were fricking multiplayer only
>After consulting with the peers of the realm, King Harlaus has decided to confer Reindi Castle to King Harlaus
probably to throw another fricking feast in
>You are to join Marshall RandomShitNoble in his campaign
>Against the Khergit Khanate
FRICK
>have 2 days to complete the quest
>that moron is on the other side of the map
play paradigm worlds
who is this mod made for?
Schizochads
Chads
damn it feels good to recruit 30+ veteran troops instantly from your fiefs
>there's just 50 swadian knights in some random village waiting to be recruited
>Star Wars mod is out of date
They released a new version (rise of the new order) idk 2 Years ago
Is It playable right now?
Damn it Vandross, not again.
Why is Pendor so popular? I used to play the shit out of warband back in the late 2000-s or so. Had tried pendor a few (like 5) years ago and it felt almost identical to vanilla at a glance
does it actually add anything new to the game or is it just a balancing mod of sorts?
It's a pretty solidly fleshed-out OC setting so that has its own inherent appeal.
The trouble is that it's unbalanced as frick and the more you learn about it the more you see the autism of the mod author leak through.
Perisno is better than Pendor in just about every way
based, Perisno and AD 1257 are the mods I played the most
the only thing it actually has going for it is how well optimized and bug free it is compared to other mods, the lore is cringe shit and the author is constantly sucking elven wiener and that affects the mods heavily, you can't even win without befriending those stupid elves, the balance is terrible, ranged units are even more broken than usual, this makes horse archers even more cancer than they already are and most non-noble troops are absolute garbage, the doomstack are silly shit that you'll end up kiting into Kingdom's marshall armys to kill because doing it otherwise is too much trouble until your custom troops eventually become better than the noldor.
but what i can't stand is how the mod's author insists on removing everything that you can use to either cheese the game or reduce the grinding, Black person even removed the ability to take high tier troops from a garrison of a newly conquered fief because you know, having 5-10 units that die super fast anyways as a reward for capturing a fricking castle is just too much, is shit like this that makes the mod unbearable to play for more than one playthrought, and its full of things like this
Man, I need to stop listening to Ganker. I just tried Paradigm Worlds and it's hot garbage, hot schizo garbage, but still hot garbage.
you have abysmal taste
AWAY WITH YOU, VILE BEGGAR
The only way I'll leave Warband for Bannerlord is for Bannerlord to get dickplomacy.
Is there a nude mod for Bannerlord yet, asking for a friend so I can jerk off
there's been a few variations and some body type mods. loverslab has also picked up on the potential of the game so there might be a decent coomer future
should i bang the milf queens daughter y/n
